A Good Year

January 23, 2008

Page 1 | Page 2 | Page 3

Lauri and George's wedding was so beautiful -- it took my breath away. Lauri looked amazing and George so handsome. Simon and I are so happy for them. They are so in love and it is obvious. I wish them years of love, happiness, and all the joys of being married. Maybe even a baby? Ahhh -- think how cute it would be, Lauri!

I would have to say that last year was one of the most exciting times of my life. If someone would have told me a year ago that I'd be on a TV show I would have told them they were crazy. I never in a million years would have believed them! The friends that I have made during this process has made every stupid thing I said on TV worth it. All the housewives are wonderful women and I have them as friends forever. There were so many good times I don't even know where to start. From going to New York and attending the Project Runway fashion show to Access Hollywood, Extra, The Today Show, and the new 1500+ MySpace fans I have. The first season you are on a show is definitely a learning experience. It is almost therapeutic to see yourself from the outside. There were things I wish I did not say and certain facial expressions that I will never make again.

Tamra,

You are my favorite housewife. I am turning 40 this year on July 4th and all along I have been dreading it, but watching you and the other girls on the show has given me inspiration to move toward "40" and embrace it. My friends and I have often been called The Real Housewives of Morris County (New Jersey). We live similar lives and have the same interests. I can't wait until the show comes back on. I am going to miss watching all of you!

My Best,

Your personality is so fun to watch! So glad you came to the show! It seems you and Ryan have such a special bond. That's awesome! His future wife will thank you one day because he will respect her so much. (Happened to me!) Anyway...you look great at 40, and as I turn 30 in 3 weeks, you make me work out alittle harder! I have 2 boys and 1 girl, whose 7 months old! Best of Blessings!!!

Kat wrote:

You are all hysterical. You all make me feel better about myself and my life. Everything about you is fake. Your nails, your skin, your teeth, your boobs, all of it. You all worry more about your appearance than what your children are doing. It is absolutely hysterical. Keep behind your gate....We don't want you in the real world!

Tamra,
At first I really did not like you very much, but then you grew on me. You were open and honest about your boob job. You were also open about the issues you have with your son. I think one day he will grow up and make you proud.
Take care and all the best to you and your family....

Yu are uch a free spirit and hat is beautiful. Good luck to all of you!

Tamra,
What a great season with you on the show. Look back and enjoy those moments. Don't look back and wish you didn't say this or that..or looked a certain way. It's life and we all say something or do something but hey that is who we are. People can either love it or hate it. Can't wait until next season.

Maureen wrote:

Well, well, well! Sounds to me like Ms.Kat may be a little bit jealous. These women live " behind the gates" because they are successful, where do you live honey, under a rock ? Think what you want, but I bet you anything that your little Tivo man will be taping every Tuesday night once the new season starts. Now excuse me while I go enjoy my martini. Love the show!!!!!!!! Can't wait until next season. Maureen : )

Tamra certainly is more than just a beautiful woman with a sexy body---she seems to be very smart and even bettter, level-headed. She is the favorite of ours out of the whole group.
And her husband seems like a real nice guy, too.

Tamra,
You are by far the best thing that has happened to the show. Your bubbly personality is just what the show needed. I think the viewers definitely need to see more of you and your gorgeous family. All of the "housewives" personalities put together really made this season great. I hope they keep all of you together for another season....

Jordyn wrote:

Tamra,
I became addicted to the show by watching it with my Mom. You are both of our favorite. It was so nice to see your smiling face and great personality every week. I am going to miss that. They NEED you back for another season. Good luck in all that you do.

Angie wrote:

Tamra, I am wishing after watching this season that you would have been there from the beginning. You have brought so much fabulous energy to the show!! You make me want to work-out harder then I ever have before --so that I can look as amazing as you do (40 will be here before I know it!!) I totally admire your relationship with Simon --you two still seem like newlyweds!! That is super impressive. I hope to see you again on another season!

Jackie wrote:

Hi Tamra. I want to premise this by saying that I love the show, I am a faithful viewer and hope that there will be future seasons...I also know that it is probably difficult being on reality TV, having a camera cew following you around and intruding on personal moments. That being said, what I noticed most about your first season is that you love attention, which is actually one of your attributes, and makes you perfect for the show. However, honey, you look directly into the camera waaaaaaaay too much! Don't get me wrong, I love all of you gals, but it is very distacting and honestly a bit annoying when ever you are joking around and looking directly into the camera, as if you are waiting for our approval or laughter...especially your birthday episode, it completely lacked that "fly on the wall" quality that the "hidden" cameras are supposed to capture, and made it nearly impossible to watch. I cannot imagine how hard it is to pretend that the cameras are not there, I will give you that, I am simply giving you some constructive criticism for (hopefully) next season. We love you, you have our approval, you don't have to try so hard sweetie! Please try to make less direct eye contact with the camera, it's not the Tamra Show. I hope that this doesn't sound too harsh, and I'm sure now that you have this experience under your belt it will be easier for you to look away and just live your life as best as you can with a camera in your face. I truly hope that we as the audience have the pleasure to gain more insight as to who Tamra, the "real" housewife, is when she's not putting on a one woman show. Thank you!

Sara wrote:

Hi Tamra!! I have to say, you're my favorite housewife and I'm SO glad you replaced Jo, who I felt sorry for being with Slade. You're so beautiful and sweet. My only advice: be a little harder on Ryan in terms of work and lifestyle. Families with money tend to have kids with less motivation, they just want everything given to them... Ryan should work as hard as you and Simon! And I totally understand your reaction to his horrible tattoo, and I'm 24! Yuck. Love you Tamra, and good luck with everything!!

Keep it "real" next season...

Put me down as one of those who didn't like you at first. While I (and everyone else) should know better, we who watched Bravo were told at every commercial that you thought you were the hottest wife in Orange County, and for the new kid on the show, it appeared pretty darn presumptuous! The show is *filled* with beautiful women and I know after watching for the season, that you think that there are so many beautiful women and wonderful friends around you. (I learned my lesson on it though, because when they tried to play up the "it's been coming for three seasons" Vicki/Jeana spat, I said yeah sure. BS. No one who has been friends as long as they have break up over stupid stuff like that.)
You have a beautiful family and you look like you would be a lot of fun to know.

Hi Tamra!
I just want to let you know that I look up to you as a wife, mother and friend. I am a 21 year old mother of two children, and I am also a stay at home mom. I am pretty much married, but not really. It's been 5 1/2 years, but anyways, I am interested to know how you juggle everything. Im lucky if I put makeup on during the day. Since i had kids i dont feel like a girl. How do you make yourself so beautiful! Sometimes i feel like ive lost my confidence and when i watch all of you on tv it makes me want to get up and take care of myself, and look pretty. I even buy clothes like you now, well where i can find them at.
And also my mom just turned 40 in september, and me and her are so close like you and your son. its nice to have a young mom to go out with. thats how i hope my sons are when they get older.

Hi Tamra,
Like other views (and probably the housewives) I wasn't quite sure what to make of you. After a few episode, you're one of my favorites. You're funny and have a great personality. Thanks for sharing your life with us viewers. I have two years to go till I'm 40 and I'm so not looking forward to it. You looked fabulous at your party and Simon is a total hottie - hold on to that one - he has the cutest smile. I hope to see you in season four! All the best to you and your family.

I must say I was very disappointed with Tamras hair on the reunion show. It wasnt nice looking at all on her. I am glad that she did have enough common sense to do smaller with her breast than larger. Over all it was nice to see the Tamra on the show this year.

Kelly wrote:

Hey there Tamra!
I think you are a great asset to the show. I love all the other gals, but you have spiced it up a bit and kept it "young"!
I want to know more about you. Where are you from, how did you get to LA, how did you get to the place you are now? What kind of family do you have, have you always had money, or did you grow up "normal"?
I have always had a passion for being in Hollywood, however, I have gotten older and not made it there, and am married and have a son, so I figure I will never be famous or rich or any of the things I feel in my soul, but maybe my son can still become rich, wealthy & famous!! LOL!! But I really have longed to be out there forever, and would love a chance to still get there! You guys should bring fans out for a few days during the show, or any other time! That would be great!
Keep on havin fun!
Thanks, Kelly

Tamra, Missing all of you. Such a good show. Could you gentley get Jeana to remove those bumps on her face? They look like flesh colored, raised moles, and a dear friend of mine had the same thing. Her Dr. told her they were just "skin tags", but after getting a second opinion, they were removed, and were pre-canserous. There was not one hint of a scar anywhere. I worked in a medical office, and I think she needs an opinion, on them. Maybe you can help her, and go with her. Thanks. I'm just an overprotective "mom".
