Tom and Kathy, Sittin' in a Tree?

It’s fun being on the road with Kathy. It’s like hanging out with my buddies when I was fourteen or fifteen years old. She is comedy, and I am a huge fan of comedy. Our relationship is is probably more like brother-sister. I would say brother-brother, but I guess that’d be a little weird cause she’s a lady.

Before I even met Kathy, I loved comedy. Kathy and I willl sit and talk about music and old comedy together. I love that given that I’m a certain age, I can appreciate some of the things that she talks about. Jessica and Tiffany are a little young and don’t know who certain people are, like Don Rickels. Kathy and I can trade Don Rickels fodder back and forth.

Aw, Tom... From an outsider's point-of-view, I think you and Kathy would be fantastic. You've both been burned, but are still willing to look for someone to make you happy. You have standards. You're funny. You like funny people... The list goes on. You never know what will happen, so keep an open mind!

I think that Tom is really hot. Kathy you should definitely date Tom. I have seen every show, and from the first time I saw Tom, I was like...hmm they would make a great couple. I think he is a catch girl, and you shouldn't pass that up. You two obviously have some chemistry. You already live together. Why not take the next step? Go for it girl.....you deserve it. You are already living your lives with one another, you are both single, you both have a great sense of humor, and did I mention....he is pretty cute. Love ya Kathy. If you need any more advise, dont be afraid to get in contact with me. They dont call me the advisor for nothing! xoxo

Hey there - first off, I have to share with Kathy and Team Griffin that literally, every time I see a picture of Kathy's dad I start balling...he was such a cutey who so obviously emoted love and laughter through tv, both for his dughter and for life in general...I'm sure Kathy misses him dearly but that he's watching her from above and is very proud!
Tom - you're hilarious too! And so are Tiffany and Jessica - you all seem like your jobs are great and if there's one celebrity that I would want to work for it'd be Kathy. Love the show and keep up the great work - the show always makes me laugh out loud! Have fun and can't wait for the next season!
Oh - I think you and Kathy should just be friends - wouldn't want you to get fired and have to leave the show! :)

angela wrote:

No, I don't see the two of you together. Kathy should play the field for awhile and get some publicity. Tom you seem like a great guy. Hey Tom you never know what might come from being on the show. Lots of girls are wanting you honey.

I think you are a great addition to Kathy's posse! I'm glad she has such a great friend to have her back on the road...plus you obviously have a great sense of humor. Just watching you react to Kathy and the D-List situations is a hoot!

Are you really from Fenton, Missouri, home of the famous Chrysler Plant? If so, yee haw and howdy do from another Missourian!

Oh my goodness, were you drunk when you wrote this blog? You really seem to have feelings that are more than "brotherly" for Ms. Griffin. By the way, it would be FABULOUS if you and Kathy hooked up. Great season.

i love how Tom is sitting here, talking all about himself in relationships, like he is going to find someone on the internet (which maybe he needs too because im sure he hasn't gotten any in a long time LoL!) but isn't he sopossed to be talking about the show?!?!? and not himself? well i guess thats typical Tom, just like when the lady thought that he gave her the money, and didn't even correct her. well anyways... i love you and your show Kathy!!!
your hilrious!!!

I love Tom. Tom, along with the rest of Kathy's team, are funny, and are also really great sports. I mean, working with Kathy Griffen, you have to be able to make fun of yourself and laugh with her. Esspecially Tom on the Michigan Tour episode, were he had to fill in for a waitress who wanted to go to Kathy's show that night. Tom, hope you eventually find that special person! Love ya!

To Kathy or Jessica or Tiffany or Tom or Chance... The season just ended, and already I miss the show so much. I started to wonder what the next season would be like, because I just know that Kathy will win an Emmy this year and that her fame is growing in leaps and bonds, so where does that leave her on the "D" List? One idea came to me and I'll pass it along to all of you. If Oprah has her own psychologist with that idiot Dr. Phil, then shouldn't Kathy have her own on-call psychologist also, as she climbs up the "D" list ladder ?? Well, I am certainly D-List material, because although I am a real psychologist with a Ph.D. from UCLA and also CA. state licensed, I don't believe psychologists are doctors, and I think psychology is mostly silly talk by pompous people with bad haircuts. I, on the other hand, have a cool (okay, odd) haircut, and a very unconventional approach to psychology. I am NOT a new age touchy-feely type, but the teen juvie boys that I see in my practice love to call me dr depresso, and it's not about the coffee. I think it would be funny for all of you to have me as an occasional on call psychologist. The possibilities are endless. I could do group therapy for Team Griffin on how to have a catharsis, or how to cathart together, etc.. I could counsel Kathy on unwanted teenage pregnancies while she passes out from confusion and boredom. If you think this is a good idea, you can check me out on the California Board of Psychology webpage, and you'll see that I'm for real. I am also a member of the K.G.net forums, and I use the name drdepresso. You could contact me from there. If you guys think this is a horrible idea, that's okay too. What matters is that you all stay strong healthy and together for the next season. Take care. Mary Marin

Tom, I love reading your posts. As a first grade teacher I should not admit to watching Kathy's show, but I love it.... and I love it even more now that you are in it. If you ever come to Maine I'll be the MILF in the front row wearing the "I want TOM" t-shirt ;)

I don't like Tom to much because he dont interact as much on the show he is pretty much to serius at all the time I fell that sometimes he do not do much like the other girls, I can be wrong but so far that's the preception I have from the show.

Hey lover's and voluntary servants of Kathy, please tell me why someone like Sarah Silverman and NOT Kathy Griffin is hosting the VMA's??????????? She is not funny. she thinks she's funny and loves thinking that eveyone else is just some dumb they don't get it. But she is not funny or witty or talented. Kathy is brilliant and witty and can still manage to be likable like tearing someone to pieces. Kathy knows how to do it right. PLEASE, talk to whoever you need to--but first plant the seed in Kathy's brain--that she needs to be hosting all these huge events. Because at these events she can be sassy and saucy and everyone LIKES it!!!!!!!!
I love you Kathy. You are Number 1 in my book. xo Raina

I Love Kathy, I wish I was her boytoy. We could have so much fun together. We are so much alike, other then the fact that she makes about a million dollaars more then I do. She is such a blast and I bet she is the same in person as on TV. I understand she is seeing someone now but if she is ever interested in a hookup, blinddate or whatever, you got my E-mail address. She won't be disappointed at all. It would be all about fun, fun, fun.

Hi Team Kathy! Just wanted to say that I am the number one St. Louis Fan for both Kathy Griffin and Team Kathy! The St. Louis Show was awesome, packing the house at the Fabulous Fox Theatre! I have an odd request...what kind of watch was Kathy wearing at the show? I'm in healthcare and my boss was at the show and loved Kathy and her fabulous watch!

Again, awesome show and LOVE my Kathy Griffin Tee autographed by "Team Griffin"!

Dear Team Griffin:

So, in keeping with the march-on, conquering the lists D-ecendingly -- or should that be dissentingly, I have a fabulous idea to make Kathy the real red-headed Oprah! I know from which I speak as I actually was a guest on Oprah twenty years ago -- after her first weight loss, AKA the Opti-fast fiasco -- but that's another story! Herein, I present the idea to end all ideas for Kathy to ultimately replace Oprah as the true deity of virtue. I will make my pitch brief so as to not conflict with the wine tastings...

First, a necessary evil, a quick background tour so you get the whole idea and its many faceted tie-ins...

I've spent the 20 years since my stint on Oprah, raising my son and, literally, nothing else, but work and volunteering. I gave up my lifestyle of fun (read: punk rock girl in the 80s) to raise my son and do all the mom-stuff, as much as a single mom living on crack street could muster anyway. I literally cut off my social life completely. I didn't want my son to be raised by a series of boyfriends, so rather than risk the scenario, I just didn't date at all, until he reached 18. In the meantime, I'd been diagnosed with Lupus and put on steroids for over a decade which made BALLOON up into -- what's the word for a straight female bear? – a whale. Eventually, I realized the steroids were conjuring up more harmful side affects than they were curing symptoms and I finally chucked them away and lost 163 pounds.

I am considered very pretty except for one, little, minor thing... skin. Miles and miles of skin that I keep hidden under clothing. As such, now that I am dating again, I am easily able to attract a man, but once they get a look-see at the skin, they high-tail it out of there. In fact, I recently had my cougar moment in the sun in that I dated a 35 year-old for a year. He professed love and security and future and blah blah blah. We were perfectly suited in everyway (yes, straight men watch Kathy too, though now that you mention it...). Everything was wonderful – or so I thought. Then, he dropped the bomb… Um, having desperately tried and failed to "get over" his hang ups about my skin, and shamefully acknowledging it was a shallow and narcissistic reason, he nevertheless dumped me for no other reason than I have "too much skin", essentially being too poor to afford the plastic surgery. [Side note: he actually said he considered paying for it himself but then thought,”What if I pay for it and then she leaves me?’ Instead, he decided the wise investment would be to dump me and move on. Seriously.]

Now, here's where Oprah meets Kathy meets promotion meets goodwill gesture meets marketing genius...

Knowing Kathy was able to garner a mad amount of free plastic surgery for herself years ago based on the guise that she'd publicize the doctors, how about Kathy taking me on as her "project"... she can do with me what she wants… extreme make-over Kathy-style! Imagine it, free publicity for the doctors; free laughs and great set-ups on the show at my and my family’s expense and adoring, enthusiastic participation; free removal of skin for me; Kathy' set-up as the truly altruistic red-headed Oprah, rather than all that fake Oprah altruism being tossed about; humiliation for the ex (kidding... sorta), but might be fun to explore the cattiness angle that is screaming to come out on this topic; and Kathy can even play cupid for me to find a guy when it's all over! Can you see the promos now? ... win-win-win.
