There comes a point in everyone's life when you have to decide: am I going to pursue the life I want, or am I going to accept the life I have? Sometimes events conspire against you, but it's often our own choices that answer the question. First you get married, then you buy a house, and then maybe you have some kids.
Each decision adds another layer of complication to your pursuit of happiness. Let's be honest: it becomes a lot harder to quit your job and write the Great American Novel when you've got kids to feed. It's possible... but it ain't gonna be easy. Standing in Nicole Appelman's home in Edison, New Jersey, you definitely got the feeling her life had taken a detour. In high school, she was the Prom Queen, and the hottest girl in school. Now, she's surrounded by sippy boxes and plastic tricycles with melted Starbursts in the wheels. Clearly, this was not the life she had in mind.

Okay, you have to help me and many others. The Tim fans show up in droves on message boards to gush about this show. I adore Tim too, but the show format needs help. You are a sane man and I have always enjoyed your blogs.
The call alerting the contestant that Tim is on his way insults the viewer. We know the production crew has been there for hours setting up and Tim could not be far away, like a few yards, perhaps.
The underwear drawer drama already irritates. Sure, educate about proper foundation but save us from this ritual. It is boring.
Tim's ridgedly defined roll in Project Runway worked well but he is twisting in the wind here. Work with his mentor/professorial style and create a format around that. This show needs an anchor and Veronica is not up to the job. Thanks from all the disappointed fans who will still watch but complain along the way.

Could you possibly tell me where I will be able to find Laura Bennett's new line? She was my favorite designer on PR's last season (sorry, Jeffrey), and I would love to purchase something she has created. Oh, and cheers to Tim Gunn and Veronica Webb - a great show that offers practical solutions for real women.
