[After reporting on Top Design, Matt O'Brien, a.k.a. "The Assistant" has somehow managed to stay employed with his boss, Executive Producer Scott Stone. Now he's back to give you the inside scoop on "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style." This time, The Assistant's Blog is SUPERSIZED with behind the scenes video footage and broadcast in verbal HD for your reading pleasure.]
Some television shows are built to make you cry...especially the feel-good ones. If you've ever seen "Oprah's Favorite Things," you know exactly what I'm talking about. Trembling lips give way to tears of joy as the studio audience has a complete emotional breakdown en masse. Whenever I'm watching, I always feel like Jeff Bridges in "Starman": "What are these humans feeling? Why are they crying so heavily? What is this 'emotion' they are experiencing?" Because let me tell you -- the tears were really flying on this episode.
Our spiritual journey began at Rebecca's home in Hoboken, New Jersey. As soon as you walked in, the first impression was a noticeable lack of inspiration. It was paint by numbers as applied to interiors. A John Grisham novel on top of a Paula Dean cookbook with a pair of Coldplay tickets from Madison Square Garden. Copies of The Celestine Prophecy and The Secret? Check. Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" above the toilet? You know it. It was as if the median responses of Americans 18-34 exploded in a tiny Hoboken apartment.

Your blog is terrific! Great episode..it's hard to pack so much transformation happening along with all the good advice so it's nice that Bravo has given a little more room on the website...a lot of people are going to want to have this information as it can transcend a reality show and work in day to day life.
