J-Lo Joins Cult

20070413_lopez_320x240.jpg
Rush and Malloy are speculating in the Daily News that J-Lo and Marc Anthony may have joined the ever-expanding cult of celebrity Scientologists.

It seems that Ryan Seacrest asked J-Lo what she thought of the "American Idol" judging techniques the other night on the show. J-Lo responded that she thought it would be better to focus on what the singers are doing right since: "Concentrating on the rightness brings more rightness."

Rush and Malloy note that the word "rightness" is a buzzword of Scientology, and cite two of Ron L. Hubbard's writings titled "Rightness and Wrongness" and "Recognition of Rightness of the Being."

They then go on to remind us that J-Lo's dad has been a Scientologist for 20 years. (We didn't know!) More importantly, J-Lo and Marc Anthony have been hanging out with Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise a lot lately. Seems certain, then.

    5. Why does J-Low now look like Diana Ross? Is she so unhappy that she wants to look like (or be) a whole new person?

whoa. that freaking astonashing. I think that mostlikely, considering her background (father) and all that theres a great possibilty that she has joined Katy and Tom on their Scientology journey.

J-Lo very talented woman. It's a shame she is brown-nosing up to Mr. Cruise. I get a very oppersive "vibe" from him; but I suppose he represents power in LaLa Land & that is what I think would attract an ambitious lady like J-Lo. I am not impressed w/cult followers.

Say it ain't so, J-Lo! I love ya girl! Are you sure you want to head down this path? There are many other options, especially in New Thought churches like Unity, that support a positive way of thinking and being (without the 'interesting' theories that Hubbard offers). Just research a bit more, dearie...it's worth looking into other avenues, I promise!

"Cult", why does everybody keep saying that or using it to degrade Scientology? Go J.Lo

Now I am not hear to defend Scientology, being agnostic I do not believe in Jesus's or Ron L. Hubbard's Hocus Pocus, but seriously I think people need to more research into religions other then their own before they can make judgements on others. Scientology is pretty cool, just sayin.

So once again, Go J.Lo and your rightness-ness.

If you are looking for positive, just give Jesus a chance. He meets you where you are, accepts you as you are, and loves you enough to die for you. The judgmental attitude that many associate with Christianity, unfortunately comes from imperfect people, as we all are. The God of the Universe is a loving, caring, just God. Give Him a chance, and He will bless you beyond measure.

What difference does it make what religion they are? I think she made a very generous and genuine comment. Not everyone is about judging everyone. Walk a mile in their shoes.....

But Tom Cruise has snaped, he called the Beckhemes 18 times in one hour to try to convert them. But I dont know what Scientology is, Tom might just be giving it a bad name.

    Back up a moment.

    1. Where is the proof that some girl was locked up by L.Ron's groupies? Do you need tech to find the true answer?

    2. How many times did TC call the "Beckhemes"? Do you have his home bugged?

Do a little research. Tons of articles have been written about why Scientology is a cult and not a religion.

The truth to a best life is not in anybody else, not even Jesus, it's in you. Read The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes and even Jesus' teachings will make sense. He explains a lot of bible hoo-ha in terms that finally make sense to me.

    You are so right, Sayla.

Scientology didn't want to pay taxes, so they applied for and was given exemption as a church (their lawyers must have found some kind of loophole.) There is no God in Scientology. There is NOTHING spiritual about Scientology.

Just another celebrity fad. Part of the fad is giving the new 'thing' a bad name. They do this all of the time.
