Kelly Clarkson Wins Idol!

20070524_idol_320x240.jpg

We just wanted to say something about the finale of “American Idol” season 6: thank God it's over!

Whew, that was one sucky season!

It was even more apparent how bad this season was in the two hour finale when they had some real stars perform: Carrie Underwood, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson and the incomparable Kelly Clarkson … who ROCKS!

Putting this dynamo next to the likes of Jordan (who's just okay) and Blake (who might amuse us at a frat party), and the rest of Season 6's gaggle of mediocrity only highlights just how lame the show has become.

Are their just no talented people left in America? Maybe they should be imported.

Even worse than emphasizing the quality of talent, the producers saw fit to remind us just how cruel the show has become by bringing in "joke" contestants they’ve humiliated during the auditions. Even going so far as to show a photograph of a "Bush Baby" to that poor guy with the big eyes.

The jokes fell flat … just like the show.

We promise never to watch “American Idol” ever again … until it comes back on air next season.

We're weak.

It's Jordin, not Jordan. Lord, one of the most basic facts; you should have at least gotten THAT right.

Kelly was not as great on the show as she is now. Neither was Carrie Underwood. Or Jennifer Hudson. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, buddy.

I'll bet you the whole top 3 achieve great success. You know they're talented; they're just too talented to be interesting. Let me guess: you were a Sanjaya fan.

that was just mean. Jordin is only 17 and has talent, she has years to become a great singer. I do agree on a few accounts, Kelly Clarkson Rocks! and - bringing back the "joke" contestants is just ridiculous!!
