Shear Success

gallery_108_01_320x240.jpg
Cut, rinse, blow, weave...it all culminates in this. The final three stylists are faced with one last challenge. Which one can stand up to the pressure and execute their look? It's been a hair brained season filled with everything, from hedge clippers to Dr. Boogie, but now the remaining three have an opportunity to catch their breath and meet a hair icon. Still, the judges and Rene are set to give each contestant their biggest challenge yet. So after a season full of high stress and even higher emotion, it's all over but the styling.

It would have been really helpful if the website Mr. Sassoon championed on the show were active. Though his comments gave the impression that he is championing relief for New Orleans, the site he directed viewers to is merely an advertisement for a new Vidal Sassoon website.

I believe that Shear Genius forgot what it was looking for from the beginning, it went from finding the best hairstylist, to the best hairstylist for that one challenge. Daisy has done amazing work throughout the show and she has been on the top three and should have won each challenge, but the others were not on her level. Considering her 4 years in hairstyling and how well she has done in throughout should have been added to her good, but not great hairstyles in the final. I loved her hairstyles, but I agree it was not her best, but it also seemed a bit weird that her outlets weren't giving any power...controversy? idk. I believe at the end it should have been how good they have done in the finale and overall because the final was who was the shear genius in the show. I mean who wants a hairstylist who is just good at what they won for one challenge, or who was good on overall challenges. I believe strongly that the final decision was ridiculous.

Congrats to Anthony. Job well done. I am happy for you because I wanted you to win. However, if Ben or Daisy had won I would still be happy. Congrats to all three for making it to the finals.

I am happy for Anthony. I am also very proud of Ben who tried his very best to excel. Daisy has been really great. She has been consistantly presenting the "WOW" results. She picks up things very quickly. I am surprised how skillful she was, giving the fact she only has had less than 5 year experience. I love two of her presentations, one is the Victorian era and the other is the wedding. I am happy for all three of them. I really think Tabatha and Tyson could have been top 4 or 5, too bad, it did not happen. Tyson is a very good hairstalist, so is Tabatha.

What Happened ! Daisy was consistently the best all around. It just seems strange the Vidal Sassoon even commented on the fact that Daisy's overall presentation was amazing. Her hairstyles demonstrated her creativity and professionalism throughout. I liked Anthony as well, but he was not consistent and did not demonstrate his capabilities at the finale. The 3rd models haircut was truly a hair design of the 80's, just with this though in mind he should have been eliminated. Ben clearly is a mediocre hairstylist. Giving the fact that Daisy only has 4 years experience as a hairstylist, her performance was truly Shear Genius. I don't understand how the judges based their decision on just that one session, because Anthony with all his years of experience was not basically at the bottom 3 throughout the entire show. Such a great show was truly disappointing at the end. It seemed liked this was plan right from the beginning.

Shear Genuis is an amazing show and I believe that all of the stylists were talented, however Daisy does have a special passion that I admired from the first show. Anthony also has to be given his credit for being in the industry for 40 years. He deserved the title of Shear Genius based on that alone. His work was flawless each week and he is an amazing stylist. I was proud of Ben for standing strong as an underdog and he ruled the show also. HIs improvements each week grabbed my attention after the Sally Shag week. I can't wait for the next season!

Anthony job well done. Some people are upset because you won, but if you look back some great stylist have left the show because on one hair style. You did not win because of just one style but because you didnt give up and turned it on a little higher when you need it. GREAT WORK!!!! give the man his props.

Didn't realize until I saw these photos, that the judges got such an up close look at the models' hair or was that just for the finale? Loved Vidal Sassoon as a guest judge for the finale. Remember his haircut for Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby although I was only a child at the time, but my hair was that short and cut in similar fashion when I was a little girl. Mia Farrow short and a pixie and then a shag 1960's into 1970's. Have enjoyed this show partly because it reminds me that until three years ago, I changed my hair all the time and worked on my hair all the time doing things to it aside from color. Not a hairstylist, but that's what's missing. I need to have my hair done again. It's awful!

How was the winner pick? Was wine or beer involve, this is such a huge dissappointment for Daisy's fans. She made an impact on hair and then here comes a twist in this show. Not a good choice at all, something tells me cheap wine was being used to gets someone drunk.
