| Cuba Gooding Jr.: Hero |

Oscar winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. dealt with some real life drama recently when he leaped to take action in a life-or-death situation.
Gatecrasher reports how the 39-year-old film star helped save the life of a shooting victim he happened upon while waiting outside the Hollywood eatery Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘n’ Waffles.
As Cuba waited in his parked car outside the establishment four gunshots rang out at the corner of Sunset Blvd. and N. Gower St. in L.A.
According to a spy on the scene, “Cuba was picking up dinner for his family on the night of Memorial Day. He saw a young kid holding his head and walked toward him. The kid was bleeding from his neck and collapsed.”
The shooting victim was described as a 20-year-old male who Gooden “cradled” in his arms as he called for some one in the restaurant to bring towels. When patrons came running out with paper towels Cuba snapped at them to bring out “real towels!”
We’re still reliving the image of him cradling a gunshot victim. Didn’t he do that to Morris Chesnut in Boyz n the Hood? We cried like babies in that scene. Talk about a movie star.
Cuba managed to stem some of the blood using the towels he requested and also hailed a nearby police car, waiting on the scene until paramedics arrived.
As of now, the LAPD have not returned inquiring calls but it is believed that the victim’s condition has improved. Just when we thought we'd had enough with the celebrity world... This story makes up for at least a week of Paris Hilton coverage.

Thank goodness for people like Cuba! It's good to see someone with that kind of courage and instinct to help. Hollywood could learn a lot from him.
