| Space Chimps |

What do Karl Pilkington, the San Diego Zoo and The Dish all have in common? We all love chimps.
Seriously, they make us swoon. What’s better than a little monkey fella? Well, we’ll tell you. A little monkey fella launched into outer space. “Why is that not a movie,” you ask? Well Barry Sonnefeld was thinking the exact same thing.
The Hollywood Reporter clues us in that, The Men in Black director will be producing the sweetest movie about animals in some sort of aircraft since Snakes on a Plane. It’s called Space Chimps, an animated comedy with a 2008 release date. Jeff Daniels, Andy Samberg, Stanley Tucci and Kristin Chenoweth will all lend voices.
Samberg, from “Saturday Night Live” fame, will voice Ham III, grandson of the very first space chimp, who was actually named Ham. A senator (Tucci) recruits Ham III to explore a black hole that leads to another planet ruled by an evil alien.
When do tickets go on sale for this thing? Seriously.
We admit to being a little bummed out by the animated part. You can’t beat the real thing baby and live action chimps are thematic gold. Just ask Stanley Kubrick, Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds.

I'm glad it's animated, The "real thing" means that more chimps will be abused by the entertainment industry so as a chimp lover- I'm happy.
I'll go see it. I'm a big fan of all of the actors involved.
