Kathy takes Team Griffin on the road to Michigan for two shows. Although she was worried about the apparent gay drought, her Cracker Jack staff rose to the challenge and did everything they could to get more people in the seats -- even if it meant giving the tickets away for free.

Hey Kathy, I was wondering if there was any chance you might be doing a show in Kansas City in the near future. I saw you last summer in Minneapolis and you were hilarious, as I knew you would be. I'd love to see you again but it'd be nice if I didn't have to drive seven hours to do so. Plus, I promise you (and Jessica) that there is a lot more to do here than there was in Michigan.
Also, I would like to express my sympathy on the loss of your father. He seemed like a wonderful person and my thoughts are with you.

Please, oh please don't give up on Michigan! I guarantee you were just in the wrong towns! Ann Arbor would have loved to have seen your show, I know because I made at least 20 people buy tickets the day you were performing in Ypsilanti! Yes, including me, before you ask. Unfortunately, we barely knew you were coming to the state! Hire me for the publicity staff and I guarantee a heck of a lot more ticket sales!

However, I guess your "gays" really do love you too because you are totally sold out in the San Francisco Bay Area. I don't know if I'll get a chance to see you out here but I'm trying!

Just wanted to say I'm from Michigan and am so embarresed that you had the experience you did...next time you come to Michigan (and I hope you do) come to Ann Arbor. Not to say it's better than Jackson and Benton Harbor...but it is. Ann Arbor does have a gay community and is home to the University of Michigan and I'm sure many college kids would love to see your show. I love your humor and I love that you have shown a sensitive side this season. You rock! Thanks for the laughs.

I live in Florida, however, I grew up in Michigan - Grand Rapids. I still spend my summers there with my family when I can. Just wanted to let you know there is a very large Gay community there.
Also, another huge Gay area is Fort Lauderdale, FL - Wilton Manors, FL which is NW Fort Lauderdale.
