This week found our chefs tackling some local staples. The Quickfire Challenge had them scrambling to make something tasty using local citrus. After Hung walked away with immunity, the weary chefs hit the pool... party. The cheftestants had to kick up their grills and barbecue some upscale snacks for a posy poolside soiree. Brian's seafood sausage paid off big, while Sandee's lobster didn't make the cut.
Here are some highlights from this dramatic showdown in the Sunshine State:
Howie's fired up.
Howie needs to go. He has yet to show anything other than being obnoxious.
I cant stand Hung. He strikes me as arrogant and a know-it-all. I think he is featured WAY to much. We never get to see some of the other contestants. We only see the worst three and top three. Whats up with the middle group?

I actually like Hung. I thought he was going to be like another Marcel but he's pretty considerate. I'm thinking he'll be in the last three.
The show is a big hit in our home, some of these chefs should go now, how they got thru the selection phase is beyond me. I cook better than some of these people. Howie should go, presenting an incomplete dishe is just wrong. Hung, if you recall, is a bud of cerrtian season 2 finalist Marcel. so he will be around for awhile.Id love the chance to be a judge for one of the competitions. I think Chef Tom is so HOT!! I agree with Francine Chin, I'm sick of seeing Hung and Tre and that crazy Howie!! More girls. I really hope a girl wins. I love this show, though, no matter what. Even though I have no clue what lots of the dishes are because of the "gourmet" quality. I loved the kids thing they did last season. That was really great because kids are so honest.
Francine, it is people like you that make FOOD network the crap netowork it is today they don't have talented chefs on because they come off as arogant. To be a great chef you have to be a little arrogant and compared to this years cast he has every right to be.

Haven't these guys have watched the previous 2 seasons? Bitchy, and evilness never wins, remember Marcel? I also think that they are leaving most of the group out, just the same persons and their somewhat predictable dishes, and the unnecessary drama, for drama we have the soaps, this is a cooking competition, so get your butts in gear and cook....
I was watching and liked Hung,Tre and Micah as time goes on id like to see who stays the most consistent. And to my surprise Hung is from Pittsfield,as am I i do believe i went to middle school with him and used to hung around with him once in awhile if this is him he has always worked with food (his parents owned a restaurant very nice man. good luck to all i enjoy watching...
Absolutely love Hung. He knows what he's doing and I'm convinced that he will win. This season is so juicy.
the show is great, I think that like the others season there's some chefs that stand out more than others season 1 steven and season 2 marcel, now it's hung so I hope that a chef that has creativity and has knowlegde of what his doing actually wins top chef.

I have cooked for many years, and feel that most of the contestants in this competition are lacking in personality and cooking skills, they fall short compared to the first season. posted on june 24, 2007
The seafood sausage was a GREAT idea. What a concept! I wouldn't mind serving that a back yard bbq withmy friens. Personal opinion is, though, Joey just doesn't understand peoply dynamics. Hung and Trey seem to be top chef quality. I an trying to sift out the top five. . . I bet there will be one if not two of the ladies staying. I guess we just watch and see. This is my favorite show in TV. Great job.
The majority of the chefs this season have no formal culinary skills. Most are self taught..very interesting. Maybe this is why we are seeing so many mistakes and sloppy dishes. Howie has two strikes now and money is on he's the next to go. Too bad about Sandee..I would have love to see more of her cooking skills.
Okay, I first want to say, Ummm Ladies WAKE-UP! You all are kinda under the radar this season. Tre, there is nothing sexier than a big guy who knows, he is the bomb at what he does! Good Luck to you. Padma, who picks out your clothes?! They are stunning. My fav is the blue dress you wore to the BBQ. Tom, "super fly for a white guy"!!! I want to see a cook off between the judges and the the top 3 students. That should stand interesting! I want to see if Padma and Tom really know their stuff! Gail Simmons, you should be the judge of the cook-off between them... Oh yeah, can someone please send Howie home already?! He's just as annoying as Hung. However best of luck to all of you!
Howie, I'm surprised you made it this far..I think it's time for You to take the bus home....Tre...keep it up such as hung....I like your dishes, but most of all luck to sll snd Howie.....go home..
tonite is top chef, can,t wait, i even watch the reruns, lets hope for some action like the first season, and by the way Padma is hot. she is a cool gal, i also like gail and tom all three make a good T-V SHOW......GOOD LUCK AND MAY TOP CHEF RUN FOR MANY SEASONS GARY E. PORTLAND ORE.
hey remember this show is not who is the hunk or good looking people it is how well they can cook.so far i like howie ,hung and tre. but i would like to see the girls to start stepping up like i know they can. so far they havent.
and joey grow up no-one is stealing your recipes. be a man and start cooking the food,and not crying like a baby. howie loosen up , you dont need to be so serious. hey this a competition, so you all do your very best. and lighten up. good luck to you all.
I love top chef, it ismy favorite show. I cant stand joey he cries and whines like a baby. Hung needs to go home with his arrogant self, he needs to reme,ner your only as good as your last dish and he is not doing any major handsyands in the quickfire of teh elimination challenges. Tre your kool,but I belive you can cook better than what you have showed us so far,and for the ladies let's kick it up a notch sittlne safe is not a safe place to be we need to win some of those challenges
IN MY OPINION, SEASON ONE IS THE BEST. I DON'T LIKE HUNG AND JOEY ATTITUDES. THE WOMEN NEED TO STEP UP AND TAKE NOTICE. MY FAVORITE ALL TIME CHEFS WOULD BE ALL OF SEASON ONE, EVEN TIFF.
I would love to se more of CJ. Cant get enough of him and would like to see more of his dishes featured. Keep up the good work, CJ.
howie is the man of the hour and the tower of power that guy is great he makes a boring show fun to watch i love the fat that there is a chief out there that would make a great dish the whoop some ass hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha keep going man remember western mass
I really enjoy watching your show! All of the chefs in their own way are
very talented,while working under alot of pressure. I noticed a lot of people do not like Hung. For the record, Yes he is cocky and arrogant but when I am dining out,which is every night of the week, its the overall food that takes center stage and he has shown to be a very creative chef.I just would not want him at my table. LOL
