| Emmy Snubs |

The only thing that could be more brilliant than honoring the worst of Hollywood is to honor the “almost good enough.” That’s the thing that makes award shows compelling after all: the reaction of the loser. So why not take it a step further and point out who wasn’t good enough to almost win?
We’re calling them the Stuart Smiley Awards, dedicated to all those almost great TV programs and cast members who could have been nominated for an Emmy this year if it wasn’t for, you know, “CSI: Miami.”
Some of this year’s Emmy nomination choice snubs were:
For Outstanding Drama: “24” (FOX). Not to mention the incredible idea, execution, and general genius of "The Riches" on (FX).
For Lead Actor in a Drama: Dr. McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey of “Grey’s Anatomy” (ABC).
For Lead Actress in a Drama: Kristen Bell of “Veronica Mars” (CW)
For Outstanding Comedy: “Desperate Housewives” (ABC) -- or frankly, "The Class" (Fox).
For Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series: Ashley Jensen of “Ugly Betty” (ABC)

No love for the Gilmore Girls either. Would have been nice to send the show off with a nod for Lauren.
Dexter got snubbed as well. I would have loved to have seen an emmy nod for Michael C Hall as Dexter and for the show in the best Drama category
I thought that Elizabeth Mitchell of Lost was all but certain for a nom.
