I think I speak for all of us here when I say how heartbroken we all are after learning that Estelle Getty has passed away at the age of 84. Honestly, my fellow editors and I sing The Golden Girls theme song at least once a day, and make more references to the sassy ladies than we can count. And also, I just have to give a shout-out to Getty's role in Mannequin.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go drown my sorrows in a slice of cheesecake.

May Estelle rest in peace. I love the Golden Girls and still watch it whenever it's on and it still makes me laugh!
omg! i can not believe that she passed away. I watch Golden Girls everyday and have just about every season on DVD. I will always remember her part on the Golden Girls til the day I die and she will remain in our hearts forever. R.I.P. Estella.
Sophia is my favorite "Golden Girl". You never knew what was going to come out of her mouth, and with such straight forward gumption! I hope I have as much spunk as Sophia when I'm in my golden years.
What a wonderful actress. May she rest in peace. Picture this!
