Hair-larious

gallery_106_03_320x450.jpg

With Tabatha’s Salon Takeover only hours away, we decided to celebrate with some classic hair puns. Everyone loves a good hair pun. Well, maybe not everyone, but as self-proclaimed pun lovers here at Bravo, we got a kick out of this Flickr photo gallery, highlighting some of the best bad pun beauty parlors across the country. There are some puns we've all heard before, “Hair Today – Gone Tomorrow,” and “Upper Cuts,” but other businesses really went above and beyond the cut of beauty. (Pun absolutely intended.) Some fav’s:

“Wish Upon a Spa.” Very cute.

“Headmasters.” Mildly sexual?

“Get Nailed Hair.” Overtly sexual.

Anyone think they their salon has the most creative name?

What a great show. I feel Tabatha's strength comes through for the couple. They needed some tough love. It might of been a little rough but in the end she has a wonderful business and her husband also has found his dream. I wish them success and for Tabatha as well. Great show! I will be watching for sure! jenny

I wasn't sure I would like Tabatha's Takeover but decided to watch the first episode to see. I LOVED it. It showed real business sense and how you sometimes have to back up, take another look, and change things up to achieve your dreams. Good one, Bravo.

I watched Tabatha's first eposide last night. She took over the 10 salon. Tabatha did a great job. The owners, Chris and Kwanna were clueless and unbending to spite that they were really in financial ruin. Tabatha took charge. She said and did what was necessary resulting in a turn around for the salon. I will definately watch this show again.

I only like this, Shear Genius, and Top Chef. The rest you can keep. Especially those stupid California shows like Jo and Slade, Orange Housewives, Flipped out... These suck big time. Stupid and boring. Bravo used to have more drama. what happened?

I still find certain aspects of Tabitha's personality grating, but enjoyed the show more than I thought I would. I'd like for her to tell my salon owner to shred the rule laden manual, drop the scripts, and lead by example. Good advice.

i just finished watching tabatha take over and i got to say i am impress, she wasn't my favorite in the 1st season of shear genious, only because all of my friends and staff told me that i acted like tabatha. i understand now after watching the first episode that i do have and carry the same point of view when it comes to the business on how to run and make a salon or any business a success. i look forward to watching the rest of the season. thanks tabatha, after watching you i realize and that what i do is not only my passion but also my dream come true, going on to ten years in the business and with a staff of 5 years, i am glad to know that i am running a sucessfull salon and business with only having the heart and love of what we do,hair.

I am absolutely thrilled that Bravo gave Tabatha her own show. She totally knows what she's talking about and her "I don't care what you think" attitude is genuine. You can tell that she truly is the way she is. This is how reality TV was meant to be. I LOVE this show.

I once went to a salon in my college town called the Hairport, and all the stations had signs over them that read "Hangar 1", "Hangar 2", etc. and it had other airplane-themed decor.

I love the new show and Tabatha was my favorite last season but I do have a comment about tonight's show. All the female stylists clothing was very inappropriate for professionals..low-cut, halter tops, lots of cleavage...I know the men probably just love it but I would not care to have a shampoo with a women's breats in my face!

Keep the tough, Tabatha, but add some love. . .balance intimidation with encouragement. As a viewer, watching ppl as they are sworn at, or made to cry is not good TV-it's disturbing. The owners seem a bit shell shocked in the end, rather than enlightened.
It is a good premise for a show--would love to see what Dee could do with it, as well.

I watched Tabitha for the first time last night and she was dealing with some owner (and I forget his name) who had apparently contacted her for help. She redid his entire salon from stem to stern and taught him that it was not his hairdressers who were the problem, but himself and his so-called manager. The place was a filty pit-hole and I would not have stayed if I'd walked in there as a client. But after she had finished and it was so clean and sparkling and modern -- oh, yes, quite a difference. She did go back in 6 weeks and I think the guy had just beening shining Tab on about changing his ways. I totally loved her telling this idiot off because he truly had an excuse for everything. I don't get why people call on experts if they have no intention on listening to the advice? Love you Tabita. You have a new fan.

Just saw Tabitha for 1st time. Loved it. Can't believe some of these salon owners disagree and argue and think some of their ways are better ever when on the brink of bankruptcy. Obviously something needs help. Tabitha is great. Been in business for 16 yrs. and I'm learning from her and she is inspiring me to do better.
