Christian Siriano Shows at Fashion Week

20080912_siriano_320x240.jpg

Hey, fashion fans! I was pretty lucky and got a seat to the Christian V. Siriano show last night, which Christian did not have in the big tents in Bryant Park (smart move, I think.) I was feeling nervous for Christian, thinking about how high people's expectations probably are for his collection, and I have to say I almost cried I was so proud of him. The collection was seriously beautiful, and even better, more wearable than his Runway finale collection.

Like many of the other shows this Fashion Week, it's all about the sheer. But Christian's mostly grey sheer looks are structured and accented with hints of yellow and tangerine.

Check out all the looks HERE. And of course, leave your comments below.

Christian's collection was, of course, fierce! I loved almost every design. He is living up to his promise and will be around for a long while. My only criticism was the lack of eye makeup on the models. The lack drew my focus away from the garment worn by the model. Otherwise, Christian certainly made it work! [BTW, has anyone else noticed how much Christian resembles the elf logo at the end of Project Runway credits?]

Unreal show! Christian is truly THE most talented person ever on Project Runway. Hands down, no question. They might as well stop making the show--there is nobody on this season that even comes close. This season is more like season 1--obviously thrown together at the last minute. Too bad, they should have stopped with producing Christian! Good for you!

Oh my God! 6 contestants showed at Bryant Park?I cannot wait to see the season finale. What's it gonna be three hours long? They are all good in their own way but truthfully I think the real contest will be between Korto and Leann. I could be wrong.I just can

Christian's last two pieces are STUNNING. Home run, I think. He's definitely evolving. I hope he makes it!

Christian again proves he is the best designer ever to win Project Runaway. The minimal but structured looks are fierce, femine and wearable. Congrastulations on your collection. I belive of all current designers that showed at Bryant Park, Leanne is by far the best. Hope she wins.

Some of it's cute, some of it is godawful, a lot of very badly proportioned looks. I won't say it's a disappointment, because, frankly, I was unimpressed by his work on PR.

I really like Christian, but his pants have a horrible fit in the crotch. Maybe the fabric, runway lights or photography? Hmm.

actually F. Sullivan, they have to show all of those collections because they don't want anyone to know who the top three are, because that hasn't hapened yet. The finale will only show the top three. that is what happend last season too. Rami, Christian, Jillian AND Sweet P and Chris all showed.
