| Daniel V at Michael Kors |

The race to finish Fashion Week has begun -- I feel like I’m sprinting! Wednesday morning was a blur of heels and sunglasses, and seeing as I started my day stuck 10 blocks from Bryant Park in a cab without a/c, I wasn’t in the best of moods walking into the tent. Thankfully, the delightful Valerie Brown from Bravo was there to welcome me, AND with tickets to the Michael Kors show which made it all the better. We had two minutes until show time and whizzed through check-in, greeted warmly by none other than Michael’s mom, Joan, wearing (of course) a trim black suit, slick ponytail and adorable red sunglasses … I think those are actually becoming her signature look … tres chic Madame Kors!
We find our seats only to realize that there are still dozens of people being ushered about (Darn you PR girls and you’re incessant “Please take your seats!”), so naturally, the gawking began. I’ve never met Anna Wintour, but have heard that she’s actually quite nice, and am looking forward to the day when I can greet her before my own collection, but until then I’ll be satisfied with staring at her from across the room. Seriously, that hair is perfect. A perfect little bob atop a perfectly-poised neck -- truly something exquisite to behold. I found it odd that so many blonde socialites were twittering around the runway (20 minutes after the 9 a.m. call time) while the queen bee herself just sat quietly in her chair with a small grin on her face, simply waiting for the show to begin.
Ladies, if the most powerful woman in fashion can get to her seat on time, don’t you think you could as well???
Ultimately, the show began and a cavalcade of Americana was set forth: red, white, and blue abounded from every combination of stripe imaginable. Long sleeve cashmere jerseys in bold, athletic stripes, polka-dot bikinis, and picnic-check pinafore dresses, though the highlight for me was the scuba-inspired knit dresses.

Daniel what happened bw you and Michael? I know there is beef somewhere - this the harshest review you've given from someone who once offered you a job, which you turned down, although now you say you're planning to apprentice yourself to bigger designers - then why not Michael - what gives?
Michael, Please now is the time to tell the designers, if the do not learn manners they will have a dwindling carrer. Please, Please, send the to school to teach them manners so they can fit in any class of people. If they constantly talk back and show no respect to the panel of judges how can the expect to survive? Help them please.
I'm really getting tired of bad manners.
Someone has to critique the designs good or bad, and just because you are newer to the business doesn’t mean you’re not right. I see nothing new or innovative about the fashions I like, and the swim suit (lets not go back to the 60's) Young fresh eyes bring new design to the playing field.
Michael Kors has been looking at too many Project Runway designs, and not enough other fashion. That lack of taste level he keeps talking about to the contestants has rubbed off on him! What were those things on his models heads?? They reminded me of street light covers and were not flattering at all. The majority of his collection looked like it was purchased at Target.
