Heidi's Emmy Looks

heidi_00.jpg

Making the right fashion statement is no small feat, especially at this year's Emmys, and especially if you're Heidi Klum. If you think it'd be difficult pulling one look together, try having six seperate styles scrutinized by celebs, fashionistas, and millions of viewers. Even though she didn't take home the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Host, Heidi certainly wins the honorary Emmy for three non-stop hours of impeccable style and taste. We review Heidi's extensive 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards wardrobe - from her asymetrical Armani gown to her fierce Christian Siriano-designed dress.

Heidi Klum was impeccably dressed, as usual. However, the Emmy show's low ratings were well deserved. I sent the following letter to the Academy of TV Arts and Sciences, with copies to ABC and Jimmy Kimmel:

    Dear Academy Board:

Where was the creativity in Hollywood this year? Everything was so cliché and inept.

I don’t know who produced the 2008 Emmy’s, but they sure missed the mark. Not having a celeb host was among the top mistakes. Where were the writers? What a dumb idea having 5 hosts. Howie Mandel looked the dumbest with his opening remarks, “We have nothing prepared.” Not professional, people. Having Jimmy Kimmel’s really stupid one hour pre-Emmy Big Night of Stars (???? Where were the big stars?) with Selma Hayak, Michael Phelps, et al, was really poor programming and poor taste (ABC’s booboo, I presume). That show for 20 somethings, or maybe it was a teen audience ABC was shooting for, turned off serious Emmy watchers. Everyone in my household watched the first few moments of that show and said, “Turn the Channel, please. This show is just so stupid, it’s unbelievable.” (We are ages 21, 40 and 59 in this household. We were all in agreement.) No wonder the ratings were in the toilet.

Heidi Klum was the only host redeeming herself by putting up with all the “old pranks” they made her go through, and I couldn’t believe my eyes when Tom Bergeron dropped her on the stage so hard for an attempt at a few laughs. What a trooper she was.

Maybe there was too much trying to be televised of the show, because the director kept having to cut people off, and what’s with the microphone not working for Vanessa Williams’ introductory spot. Inexcusable. Did you have severe budget cuts, too? That’s what it looked like. Better luck next year. Or maybe the show will go to another network, I can only hope.

    Sincerely,
    L Sawyer

The looks on Heidi at the Emmy's were gorgeous, she's beautiful, but I'm sorry Christian Siriano's dress was a disappointment. It looked wrinkled and dumpy, perhaps in person it had something but on the photoclips above it was awful. Michael Kors as usual was stunning.

I hate grey it is sad colour. When combination with yellow don't change. I prefere pink, lilás (clear purple) and clear colour or mesclado is delicate to woman. In Brazil use pedrarias is plastic some to precious stones (lantejola, miçanga and canutilho) embroiders.

Heidi is such a gorgeous woman. Unfortunately, none of her emmyware did her justice. Very disappointing considering she is the host of a cutting edge program centered around clothing designers. Surely someone out there can do better??

Heidi Klum is a very pretty lady, but she is way too old to wear such short dresses and skirts. Then stands pigeon-toed.
