| I Don't Want My MTV |

Well, I made it through another MTV VMAs and I gotta say, it's becoming a chore. Every year I tell myself maybe it'll be OK, maybe it won't disappoint, and every year I come to work bitching about the host, the performances, and everything in between. Without going too deep into the debacle that was last night, I will try to focus on the positive, and frankly the only things I enjoyed were the Leona Lewis/Lil Wayne/T-Pain and T.I./Rihanna collabos and Pink's performance. Sorry, Kanye, you know I will defend you for pretty much anything, but I was bored. I won't even mention the purity ring fiasco.

So, what did you guys think? Did you stick around to watch the whole thing, or did you give up and switch to Entourage? (Or, did you flip back and forth like I did?)

I was appalled at the VMA show. The host was terrible. MTV really needs to learn how to select quality individuals and not a someone who uses the host platform to spout political ideas. I couldn't even watch the show.
I agree. Every year I watch the VMAs I become more and more disappointed. The celebrities popularity decrease more and more, and these off the stage phantom performances must be aggrevating to the people in the audience. But I do disagree with the comments on the host. I thought he was hilarious. Obviously his crude, dry humor was lost on everyone in the audience. I think how he addressed the most seemly important thing to our democracy, our president and future president, was funny and smart. I think the fact that the host is not as popular as like an unfunny Jack Black, just makes it easier for people to attack. I thought he was great, and they should bring him back!
