| Kenley Responds! |
Last night’s Project Runway After Sew had a super special surprise caller – Ms. Kenley Collins. For those of you unfamiliar with Runway’s Little Miss Sunshine, Kenley is something of a series legend. She offends the designers. She gives the judges giant heaps of 'tude. She talks smack on Tim Gunn. Yet week after week, Negative Nancy advances to the next round.
Last night, Bravo’s very own Andy Cohen, along with Runway alums Daniel V and Jack Mackenroth, asked Kenley the hard-hitting questions. (i.e. How do you feel about people, uh, really hating you?) And Kenley, poised as always, explains how people have hated her before, so this Runway shtick isn’t anything new.
Hmm.

Granted -- Kenley is a little on the immature side. She's hyper-defensive and a little too egotistical (which is often a defense for personal insecurity)
But other show winners have been rude. She knows who she is and she'd putting it out there. That phone-in poll asking if she should have been allowed to return to Mood was totally unfair: rules don't change based on personality.
And I don't care what anyone says, I'd marry her in a heartbeat. ...if I could. *sigh* She's so dreamy... ;-)
Kenley should have been voted off last night. Her attitude sucks! She should be glad she was give this opportunity instead she is a real witch. Personally, I think the 50's designs should be kept in that era. Her dress last night reminded me of a barbie doll. Kenley...go home and grow UP!
No matter how rude Kenley can be, she is still an amazing designer who actually believes in her ideas! I love her, and Kenley - I wish you all the best!

I do not like Kenley's style at all. As a customer I will never purchase anything she designs. Plus I do not like her attitude. Her clothes lack class, sophistication and beauty. Kenley's style is frump not to wear. Not to mention they look dreadfully tacky and so 80's. Let's face it her attitude is unnecessary because she's not that good. She put down the other designers and their styles are retro. Please somebody tell Kenley to buy a clue. The other designers won more challenges than her because they have style and taste. Kenley grow up and learn to be humble. You will get farther in life and your career if you keep your mouth shut.
Kenley is a trip.I'm always waiting for the whiney voice telling the world that she is the one real talent on the show.Take some sinus pills and a slug of humility.Shes got a long way to go before she can show her queen side.I guess most would like to see her fail.I just want her to grow up.
Oh, Kinley, you're a 12 year old with an attitude problem. You have an issue creating clothing that fits the challenges, and then to defend yourself you put your answers/sentences into the forms of questions. (Listen to yourself, everything sound like a valley-girl with a question-mark on the end of it) Grow up!
A little immature? From day one she showed her incredibly nasty personality by laughing when other designers were critiqued. As a professional it's unacceptable to engage in such behavior, and as an adult it's pathetic. She has never been able to accept constructive criticism, she is the first to criticize everyone else, and when in doubt she plays up the tears and the whole bs story about her "hard life." Most of us get past these juvenile antics by the time we're in high school. Kenley is clearly emotionally and intellectually retarded. She makes pretty dresses, but she's no fashion designer. And anyone who talks to Tim Gunn like she has is stupid, arrogant and foolish.
Way off last night! I thought her dress was as dangerous as her attitude. She takes chances and it shows. I'd dress in the pink fishy mermaid over Jerell's "Butterick Pattern" any day. Kenley's dress said, "Shazam" while the others said, hmmmmmm, can't think of anything. Keep it up Kenley.
Kenley really needs to stop talking over folks and listen (to constructive critism). Yes, she's talented, but so are so many other people in the fashion business, customer service is 9/10ths of any business, no matter the product one is selling, and if Kenley keeps on her present course, I'm afraid she'll alienate potential clients.
Why should Kenley care what the others think? She takes chances and at least she tries to design something with an edge. Sure, the foundation for her style is rooted in the '50s, but it is up to date and fashion forward. The only reason she wasn't sent home is because of her attitude, she puts asses in the seats, and has the talent to move on week after week. The rest of them are boring, and while Jarell at least has a voice and a style, the others have nothing to add. Kenley will be one of the last three, and she has earned a spot.
You go Kenley. Those other designers just are up to your talent and I am not joking. You aren't there to make best friends the other ones are worried so they cry also. This contest is for fashion not personality. The other three better watch their backs. You go Girl

Kenley really needs to listen. PR has really been a marketing tool for up and coming designers. There is so much talent out there that never makes it PR, and I don't know if Kenley really appreciates the platform she's been given.
Customer Service is 9/10ths of any business no matter the product one is selling and I am afraid that if Kenley keeps on her present course she will alienate her clients.

I like Kenley, I think she doesn't always think before she speaks, and she does have a tendency to laugh at other people's misfortune but I think the three other designers created totally bad Karma by not sharing there toil with her when they had it - that was just stupid and spiteful and I think it backfired for them
Poor Kenly, she cannot accept responsibility for her bad behavior. She is rude and unapologetic. It is no wonder that she is not liked. Even her awareness of her unpopularity among her collegues is attributed to others and not her behavior. She will not be successful because her bitterness and rude behavior will stunt her personal and professional success.
I still like her as a designer. As a person you can see where it would be tough to be around her all the time, but seriously 3 on 1 isn't fair. I'm sure the industry is not all nice and sweet but very cutthroat and sometimes people develop that way.
Although she's not the nicest person in the world, i think her work should speak for itself. Even though there were sometimes when she said things and I was like Ouch!
Kenley is just a young woman who has to make her way in this dog eat dog world of fashion. She's tough, a little loud but I love her. She admitted she had a rough life fitting in and she's trying. To say she's not talented is a shame. She has as much talent as the next one.
Kenley I hope goes to Fashion Week to show what she can really do. She's no more rude than Wendy Pepper and she went to Fashion Week. Wendy should have been booted the first few episodes.

I think she is totally rude. Honestly, you are on project runway not only to show off your talent (or lack their of), but to also LEARN. I thought she was being really disrespectful to Tim Gunn in the music-genre episode. It is really unnecessary for her to talk to people in a condescending way (to put it nicely).
How dare does she tell korto that she has gone through ten times worse, apparently fleeing Africa during war leaving family witnessing wars cruelty isn't "bad", and also no body wants to wear a 50's high waist mom pants... Or deal with her "tudeness"
Kenley is by far my favorite. I like her designs because she takes risks with colors and textures. As far as her personality is concerned, individuals respond to their environment. Anyone that has been through a lot like her in in their lives build tough skins and often have their defenses up always. The environment she's in is not a good one with the other designers constantly ignoring her or talking behind her back. I appreciate how she's honest and not afraid to speak her mind, but I would agree, she could be a more tactful when speaking to Tim or the judges.
I hope she's one of the three finalists!
I watch Project Runway with my wife, and admitedly do not get into it too much. However, while watching recently I was struck by how incredibly rude and cruel all the contestants were toward Kenley. I'm no expert, but I saw a young woman over the past few episodes, especially this past one, who has been attacked, dismissed and hurt her entire life, and has developed some extreme defensive and coping mechanisms. For the other contestants to unload on her like they have was a demonstration of class at its lowest. I hope they feel the shame that is due when viewing the show post-production. Everyone complained and criticized her, behind her back, but a no point did anyone (judges or Tim Gunn included) attempt to take her to the side and discreetly tell her how she was coming across. Kudos to Heidi Klum though for taking Kenley's bad reaction in stride and not letting it affect her judging of the product.
Anyway, get off her back. The other three; quit being such back-biting bitches.

Regardless of the defensive attitude Kenley sometimes shows, she is polished, talented and attractive. She also does not go out of her way to hurt or attack others, making her the professional person. This is,unfortunately, more than can be said of others. Take a hint, two of the other three!
Okay, people with attitude have advanced far in the past four seasons of Project Runway. I get it. It's good tv. Wendy, Santino, Jeffrey...they all had their bad attitudes. And with the exception of Wendy they were also talented (I'd say I'm sorry Wendy but I just thought you were absolutely hopeless and Austin should have gone to Bryant Park). I actually cheered when Jeffrey won because his final line was incredible. But no one has ever treated Tim with this much disrespect. How dare Kenley totally disregard Tim?? He only wants the best for her. I can understand getting defensive about your work, especially after spending all of those hours laboring over it. But there is absolutely no excuse for her rolling her eyes, interrupting Heidi, and laughing at other people's misfortune. She actually laughed multiple times while the judges were criticizing other people's work and attitude but she refuses to allow anyone to say anything negative about herself. She is terrible and should have gone home already. Go Korto, Leanne, and Jerrell!!

I love Kenley and I totally understand her attitude. She is talented and strong, she has overcome a lotta things to get to the Ptoject Runaway, and she has finally made to the top 4. She deserves it. Go, Kenley GO!
I don't understand why everyone is coming down so hard on Kenley. Leanne, Korto, Jarrell, Terry, Blaine... all of them have been really harsh and critical and almost hurtful in the confessionals. And as far as Kenley's 'tude... nobody is going to defend her designs aside from herself. She has to defend her design, especially with as strong of a point of view as she has. I think Kenley is amazing and it's good to see she can be the same person in life that she is in the confessional. Project Runway is notorious for fake, catty, bitchy designers and Kenley is face-value. "Go you!" Kenley! Put those other designers in their places... 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
It is refreshing to me to hear her admit that she was sorry for some of the digs she made and that she was sorry for saying mean things about the other designers. Her attitude needs to change, but I LOVE her style and her designs!!!!

I think Kenly is so incredibly ego driven it makes her pathetic! One thing is to be passionate of who you are as a designer, but another is to not be able to take any criticism, especially and ultimately when it will be to her benefit. You can be sure of your vision, but those experts(including Tim Gunn)who comment on the designs are people who have been there and can only help her grow. I just think its sad that she has such a little girl, precocious attitude... We've seen secure and somewhat egotistical contestants and winners on Project Runway before, but not as disrespectful as she is. Let's ask her this question... if you are so good on your own, so above everyone else and in no need of guidance, why are you not succesful already????
All of this seasons designers are so pathetic compared to past seasons--none of them deserve to have gone to fashion week...too bad bravo didn't have the balls to tell them that
I think the opportunity to watch herself will be helpful to Kenley. She seemed to see some of her comments in a different light after calling into Watch What Happens. She is immature and defensive, she has some things to work on. Laughing at other designers on the runway is so disrespectful. That being said, I kind of felt bad for her last night. She can put a brave face on but really standing there being outed by all three other designers must have hurt. I don't love everything she makes but she does sew impeccably. She has a unique point of view. I'm glad that they all have to fight for this because overall I'm disappointed by this season compared to seasons past. It was unfortunate to see Kelli leave, I was interested to see what else she would do. Though, I'd have to blame Christian and Jillian for raising the bar so high - will anyone be able to design to the level that they did?
With regards to Kenley and the other three designers my opnion is this. Kenley is honest about her feelings. She is straight forward and doesn't pull punches. She also has a lot of confidence. She knows what she wants and how she wants to achieve it. I don't think there is anything wrong with that attitude. If the other designers can't take the honesty then I think they need to take a good look at themselves in the mirror. The other designers have judged and hung her out to dry on something they have no right to judge. I hope at some point they get the same judgment they gave to Kenley so they can know what it feels like. They are reacting to Kenley's conversation with Tim Gunn which is really none of their buisness nor is it their right to punish Kenley for that conversation. I also think Kenley didn't deserve the bad treatment that the other three designers gave her. If the other designed don't have anything good to say to Kenley or about her then they need to observe the golden rule and don't say anything at all. Also, I would like to add, Leeann and Korto's snide remark to Kenley about not smiling just shows how immature and insecure they are as grown women. Crap like that happens in high school. I would think that two grown women should show more maturity and take the higher road. I didn't see Kenley doing anything to deserver their little gang-up. I hope Kenley wins the Project Runway contest!! It would be wonderful to have someone who is honest and confident win Project Run Way 5!
She can say whatever she wants, but being rude and disrespectful with other people has nothing to do with growning in a dificult way. There are so many people that probable had a life more tuff than hers and are not unpolite and low as Kenley is!
What is the point of having talent if you can share it...
I have watched show since its inception and the winner 2 seasons ago was not the most beloved character, either, but a great designer! He was allowed to get away with bringing in a design book against the rules and won anyway. Kenley is a great designer, but she will not be successful with her attitude, even if she wins thiscompetition. You can't sell designs if you are not willing to accept constructive criticism and meet the wishes of your clients. Or alienate your work crew,your vendors, etc., etc. She should greet her success with a bit of appreciation and joy and at least SOFTEN the 'tude. Best of luck Kenley !

Forget this week. I can't believe Kenley stayed on past her "hip hop" outfit. If everyone agrees there was nothing hiphop about it and in Heidi's words, "they are the worst looking pair of pants I have ever seen", then why is she still going to Bryant Park? I also think that if Jerrell won, he shouldn't have to compete for a spot under the tent.

This is my first season watching Project Runway and it didn't take long to draw me in. I LOVE IT!!!
It's interesting how some designers can peak your interest and you find yourself on the edge of your seat and you watch them for a couple of weeks, then their personalities really surface just turn your stomach. Having said that, I say this...Kenley has completely turned my stomach. I have found that I love to hate her! Is that mean? OH!!!
Kenley rocks! She's no Wendy Pepper, that's for sho'! People always know where they are coming from with her. She is a warrior with a pretty face. Maybe those three designers don't like her, but she has plenty of fans from PR. She always gives 110% and isn't afraid to take risks. I think the other three have been very immature in the way they've treated her. They seem to think they are on this season's Survivor with their big alliance. I hope Kenley beats them all. She reminds of Santino from a few seasons ago. I still love him too. Fashion is about being fearless, taking no crap, going for the gold. I will be cheering for you, Kenley!
Oh, I forgot to add a few things. Kenley also did not make another contestant's mother cry, nor did she get rude with a high school student who knew what she wanted to wear to the prom. Kenley took on her EQUALS.
And one more thing...all three of the designers dumped on Kenley then Korto had the NERVE to jump Kenley backstage for allegedly throwing Korto under the bus. Oh, please! Kenley said what she had to say on stage in front of the judges. Korto waited until she was backstage with her "gang." What a sissy! If Korto can't take it, she shouldn't dish it out.
You people are way off. Kenley, you should have been gone when you tried to sew, hiphop. You have no talent? Why do you guys keep her. It is sad when ones nasty, attitude gets one ratings. I love Kenley and if it weren't for her attitude I probably wouldn't be watching this season. Everyone else's personality is so dry. She believes in herself and her designs and defends them, nothing wrong with that.

punkiefly: Gimme a break. There are many people who have been through much worst things than Kenley who do not act the way she does (having your 'defenses up' does not mean acting like a jerk, it means you are cautious. If you can't appreciate the difference then you are a lost cause).
Kenley's bad attitude and annoying voice do make me want to slit my wrists but that is not why she should be booted off the show (her personality is irrelevant - it should be about her designs). The reason she doesn't belong in the final rounds is because she made an absolutely horrendous outfit on episode 11. It was so hideous and atrocious that even I was embarrassed (that's how bad it was). This show now has more to do with drama than with talent. That is the only reason that whiney self-centered blockhead of a bee-yotch is still on the show. And her sense of entitlement is getting tiresome.
Kenley is sooooo annoying. Good God get over yourself! I've seen more mature 5 year olds, I mean honestly. Even if she had a hint of talent, her attitude would still kill it for me. If she makes it big I'll be mortified!
Although on past episodes there have been designers who have been rude to each other, Kenley has been down right disrespectful to everyone. Tim and Heidi are to be respected by everyone. She seperates herself from the others like she's to good for them. I'm sorry Kenley but when you can look like Heidi's twin, than you can walk like you have something to show. She doesn't deserve too go to Bryant Park. You have to be humble to earn a chance like that. Go home Kenley and learn where you came from. When you stop sucking on your thumb then maybe you can come out to play with the other kids!!!!!

Kato DID dog Kenley on when asked who she would pick and why; Kato just did it with passive aggressiveness. She had no right to try to make Kenley look bad after the show. Kato was just as rude, and I think it is TERRIBLE how adults can still be so clickish. Grow up everyone!
Kenley, I think you are fantastic! I love your personal style as well as your designs. You have confidence and flair, a great smile and a bubbly personality. Sheltered people, such as Korto and Mousey, are intimidated by that. You owe no one apologies. I think you are the best designer on the show and if you were OUT I'd stop watching! Good Luck!
Are you all new to this show? I have seen worse attitude on many other designers. Kenley seems like a trip and I'd love to know her.
Kenley is annoying, and that makes her fun to watch, but I never liked anything she has designed. And that final Halloween costume she felt she "nailed" just confirms her lack of polish, and style. This season has lacked any knock out designs like in the past...so I guess the judges (and the producers) had to work with what they had.
Kenley is amazing, Jerell,Lian and Korto have two faces, Korto was praying all the show but she still talk behind the others back,she is so fake, and Lian & Jerell did the same, I hope Kenley win !!!!

Kenley's strength in cutting designs is very narrow, which is the same as her personality and taste. She has only made it this far because others were just far worse. Maybe producers are using her Negative attitude to spice things up (ratings!), who knows but that slow drawl and nasal snappiness is not cute or sexy. Kenley has much to learn about fashion and design altogether.
We all know Bryant Park already happened on 9-12-08 ,and Fashion Week for Project Runaway is already OVER, and if you look at the gallery of photos at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Gallery those of you who have a far better eye for style and fashion will probably be able to figure out which of the four was NOT sent to Fashion Week.
All I can say is that Kenley is quite possibly the most narcissistic contestant this show has ever presented to its viewers. She's talented, to be sure, and just like Tabitha (from Shear Genius) is watchable IF ONLY BECAUSE SHE IS SO [B] very [/B] annoying (and, therefore will likely have her own spin-off show much like Tabitha received after losing on Shear Genious), but PLEASE someone stop her from winning this Season of Project Runway. She needs a personality transplant.
seriously, kenley should have lost tonight. i hate to think that they kept her on because of show ratings...i want to see her crash and burn like the sophomoric person she's consistently shown herself to be. plus, tim is a doll (hug!)! I suppose since she paid for the tulle she should have picked it up, but seriously, she shouldn't have left it there and shouldn't have been allowed to go back for it. seriously, i think the guest judge (sorry don't remember your name - you were awesome though!) hit the nail right on when she called kenley out for what a reptilian "inorganic" mess she is. ugh. go home and stay there...plus, you know she's not sorry - her high-pitched response is as fake as the rest of her. the bull-ish about her childhood is so played out -- really? - alienating yourself by being asinine, pathetic and unsportsmanlike is never in fashion, in the 50s or anytime else.
Project Runway definitely needs to vote off Kenley. Her work and her attitude speak for themselves. I think that she needs to realize that her attitude reflects in her designs and that is what makes them so unappealing. I will not be watching Project Runway any longer because I find it outrageous that when there are so many talented designers out there she is kept on with not only a bad attitude but designs are far from what is innovative - inspiring - and exciting. I have been inspired by watching her on the show to no longer watch in the future.
People make too big of a deal about Kenley's "attitude." So what? I think she is a great designer and she seems like a perfectionist (not a bad thing). I think she could learn from constructive criticism. She gets very defensive but I don't believe she is being rude intentionally.
Why doesn't anyone mention how middle school the other designers act towards kenley? They are two-faced jealous trash talkers who stand in a crowd together and talk smack about Kenley. If she sucked they wouldn't bother, but they know she is a threat. I hope she wins. I personally can't stand Leeann, who thinks she is the shit for some reason. Everything Leeann makes has those stupid ruffle things on it, does she make anything else? She talks like she's high or something. I really like Kenley and hope she wins. Speaking of attitudes, what about Cato's outburst at Kenley after the runway show? Talk about attitudes! None of the other designers named Kenley to go to Bryant park, but just because Kenley didn't name Cato she totally flipped out. I was like WTF?! I do believe the others are jealous of her, which is the only reason they find her cockiness annoying. They know she is a good designer. If she was no good she wouldn't pose a threat and they wouldn't care. I think the other desingners have really sucky personalities - they are either deadbeats or rude angry people *cough* CATO *cough*

One might be wise to remember the way Mr. Siriano usually responded to judges criticism and the works of his fellow designers. Week after week Kenley jumps on the attitude train, but I just can't hate her. She's cute and she has some stunning silouhettes!
Kenley's attitude toward Tim is the most off-putting. She excuses her immaturity and rudeness as "having such a hard time of it", but she honestly needs to learn some class and manners.

That Kenley character should be gone. I think it was set up for her to win. I beleive in the last challenge she had the lowest score and therefore, no winner. If Korto had the lower score of the two, she'd be gone. Korto just didn't have the complexion for the protection.

I've been disappointed with this season of Project Runway, not only because the designs have been less interesting than last season's, but because the designers themselves have been less interesting, as well. It's left me wondering if the lack of personality displayed by so many of this season's designers is what's led the show's producers to allow Kenley to remain on the show, because I can't see any other reason for permitting her to stay. She's a whiney, self-obsessed, immature pseudo-prima-donna who has designed some truly HIDEOUS outfits, and yet she has the gall to laugh at other designers and make rude remarks to and about nearly everyone else associated with the show. Since when does behaving like a pre-pubescent drama queen trapped in the 50's qualify one for inclusion in the final four? If Project Runway is turning into a soap opera populated by designer wannabees like Kenley, then I'll watch something else -- gladly. Another episode filled with Kenley's nasally whining is too much to take!

Lets face it. Kenly's designs are not fashion, fashion forward or innovative. Everything Ive seen is in poor taste. She lives in this mythical fifties world in her mind where her designs are all the rave. Kenly should have been booted off the show for that wack hip-hop outfit. Suede would have made a better final four contestant. Im sick of her smug, negative, immature attitude. Makes for great tv, but at the end of the day makes me think what the heck are the judges thinking.
KENLEY IS DELUSIONAL! That's the bottom line. She's got major behavioral issues. She rudely laughs at people and is a total poser herself. She totally trashed Daniel by saying she never sees this "elegant" style he has, and said it so nasty and then when he got kicked off, she said, "I'm going to miss Daniel, he was my buddy". Meanwhile, she's rolling her eyes, and trashing everyone, thinks she nails every challenge, and refuses any constructive feedback from the Tim Gunn, who is the main person who decides who's in and who's out-not to mention how brilliant he is! She's just plain stupid and is a 50's stylist-NOT a designer.
I am sick and tired of this show. The judges have gone soft in the head for not having eliminated Kenley yet.and I very much agree that Suede was even btter than Kenley and another comment I read said that Heidi's clothes certainly are slutty especially for her age. Kenley is who she is, unfortunately she is a very aggressive person, and whether she knows it or not, she does hurt peoples feelings. If she doesn't change a bit, she'll never be a good designer because, like Jerrell said, she a person has an ugly personality, everything she does turns out to be ugly..... In the beginning of the season, I was rooting for her because she seemed to be cute and bubbly, boy did she have me fooled.....
I agree that this season's PR is not all that great from the standpoint of talent and personalities. Seasons 2, and especially 3, had really interesting people.. Kenley isn"t a particularly good designer, but neither are the others, except Korto. BUT her personality pales in comparison to the vicious Terri and brain-dead Stella, who was a lot like Kenley, but with no sense of humor. Those two and Blayn should have been off early on, no substance or talent just shstick. I think the show makes more of Kenley's personality disorder than it should; it's disturbing to see her coming apart at the seams (no pun intended), and I also don't like to see the other three gang up on her. It's getting like the presidential race! I'm sure these people can be made interesting without the nastiness (Kenley'a included.) It feels set up.

despite K's immaturity and her total lack of manners and propriety (cutting off the creator of the show????!!!!!), I haven't particularly cared for ANYTHING she designed on the show. Her Betty Page designs have a place...but not at Bryant Park.
I am sick of everyone hating on Kenley. Remember she's working with a serious handicap under the other designers -- at least they have each other's support. If you found out someone had refused to let you use tool they were just going to throw away, and lying to you about what hip hop is, when they'd clearly help out anyone who *isn't* you, you'd feel like they were all against you too!
Oh for pete's sake is everyone ignoring what is happening? So many make comments about how Kenley puts down the other designers but have you been watching and noticed how nasty the other designers are being to her? It's never fun to be ganged up on and without a doubt poor Kenley has. It's obvious she is insecure and maybe that's why she gets so emotional but thank heavens she has passion. I would take her passion and enthusiam over Leanne's horribly boring personality any day of the week. Kenley has made the show interesting and it's been fun to tune in to watch her. Yes she has faults but so do the other's.

The poor girl grew up "swabbing decks" for goodness sakes. And not that her past situation totally excuses her present day behavior --But I could sort of feel where she was coming from. Having to seemingly fight for everything she's ever wanted can really change a person. IMO, Kenley just needs to learn that you can't always say or show exactly what you're thinking. I mean really, it's perfectly fine to act like a maniac once your offender has left the room ;) but acting out while they're standing in front of you -- It's just bad manners.

Did I miss something? What in the name of heaven has Kenley been through in her life that excuses her total brattiness and disrespectful attitude? Bad attitude does not have to go hand-in-hand with talent and you better have a good track record before you try to become a "Diva". I think the most pitiful example of her immaturity was during the career clothing challenge when she and her model were both standing on the runway with their hands over their mouths laughing at the other designers. Amazing--and not in a good way. You know, I would never tolerate anyone working for me who exhibited her twisted personality regardless of the amount of talent they may have. Talent is no excuse for rude and I would not pay good money to put up with attitude.

Listen Kenly obviously has talent or she wouldn't have been added to the show but she has a lot of growing up to do. It okay to be confident but she is obnoxious. She is rude and so immature. Who laughs when someone is being critized about their hard earned work. Her work is fine but I think some other designers that were sent home are far better. I believe a Top Designer should be mature and able to accept critizm and suggestions, Kenly should not win. If she does, this will be the last season of Project Runway I will watch. Kenly just doesn't deserve it.
I was repeatedly amazed as Kenley continued to advance. She scores a big, dated ZERO when it comes to taste. She has no class whatsoever, especially when it comes to her LOW CLASS attitude. There is not a drop of grace in her, and her outspoken confidence need NOT be confused with sophistication. It isn’t fair to the other designers for Project Runway to waste the Bryant Park opportunity on someone like Kenley. They may as well throw it all in a sack and toss it out the window. Even if Kenley had a million dollars worth of funds, she would still be back at square one – designing for herself and only herself, with no way of return. How can a designer expect to succeed when they refuse to think outside of themselves long enough to receive council, advice and suggestions from their critics, their team, and their clients? I don't see how Miss Kenley can be true Bryant Park material until she matures past the age of fifteen.
I agree 100% with Gadgetgirl ^. I think the writers of Project Runway must be pretty desperate for raw material to allow this horrid excuse for a designer to continue her pathetic little it-girl sashay. Maybe the awesomeness of Season 4 was just too hard to follow. Season 4 displayed 10 times the personality, diversity and artistic talent of Season 5. This cliché drama is something I can stand to miss. And just for the record, if Kenley ever does produce a design label, I won't be caught dead in it.
I was totally offended in the way she spoke to Tim, all the previous designers may have had BIGGER attitudes and were BETTER designers, but they never disrespected Tim. Kenley needs to GROW UP and as a designer, I have seen better clothing designs at flea markets!!!

Personally, I love her. She hasnt said anything at all that would offend me. I think its funny that its been mentioned how cruel the fashion world is and how designers do indeed have attitudes more especially to back their designs up but when one of their own on project runway has that so called designer attitude then its rudeness not personality? She sticks up for her designs, she doesnt cheat or backstab, everything she says everyone knows and it isnt behind anyones back. She has great designs which has a retro twist on modern clothes and she knows it. She good and the way the other designers treated her on the other nights show, was rediculous. If you could honestly say you wouldnt have defended yourself too then youre either a pushover or youre crazy. It was mean that the other designers all picked her out of the pile like that and im glad she stood up for her design and herself! I hope I see her in the finale, shes just amazing!

I am sorry that Kenley is immature in her actions, when Tim wanted her to let by gones be bygones, it was sad he is a good man and to say what does he know about fashion, only says she doesnt know much about the design world which is a pity as she so desperately wants to be part of it. She is a good designer but she is going to have to be a little humble and learn to work with people and then maybe she will go beyond Kmart or Walmart in her work. Kenley is our favorite "authority basher". We love her independence, individuality, cutting edge style and irrepressible self-confidence!! You go girl! Our interior design firm has been there ...and we've made it. She will too!

I think Kenley is an amazing designer with an innate flair for fashion. Her looks are flirty, feminine and chic. I think because she is very honest and blunt when she expresses herself that this unfortunately over-shadows her extraordinary talent. Let's not forget that this is a contest not a Girl Scout jamboree where everything is all lovey-dovey. I vote Kenley all the way! The other designers are okay in the talent department but they have boring personalities. Part of fashion is the ability to entertain and they just don't got it..... Kenley does in spades!

I can't believe the judges have put up with her crap time and time again. Her designs are one-track minded and don't deserve to be up there with the rest of them. She needs a wake-up call to realize that her sarcastic attitude will not get her anywhere. She should be thankful she's still there yet all she does is give lip to the judges and Tim. Oh! And then she says that LeAnn didn't "sell" her hip-hop look and looked like a fool? Hello Kenley! She looked like a fool because she was wearing your stupid design that was supposed to be hip-hop. I would love to see any of the other 3 win.
The producers have given these designers such an amazing oppourtunity. It is important to always have respect for them, and especially for someone like Tim who is offering his advice so that their designs can be the best they can be. So many inspiring designers would love to have a few minutes with these experts, and to see someone treat them with such a lack of respect is disheartening.
Despirte the giggles, Kenley is perhaps, the most mature designer in the group.,,and the most positive. She is so totally undaunted! We love her confidence and unstoppable personaity! She showed LL Cool J he is "OLD. Just google hip hop design. OK she gets criticism from the experts, but isn't that a prerequisite for any winner who is truly out of the box?
I'm sure that all of the designers, "really believe" in their designs. Tim is a very together man and has probably dealt with much worse than Kenley. This whole business is unworthy of much attention. Besides none of us are perfect.

There is NO REASON for a person to be so rude, especially when she's been given such an amazing opportunity. There's a difference between defending yourself as a designer and being bratty and defensive. I'm not saying that she's not a good designer, but she needs a huge kick in the face because of that annoying attitude. Nobody wants to work with that... No wonder nobody likes her.
I think Kenley was so extremely rude to the judges and to her fellow cast mates the last few shows. She has shown that she does not deserve to go to the final 3. Kenley believe it or not, you are not always right, and these judges have been in the fashion business far longer than you have. Maybe you should start showing some humility before its too late.

Oh my gosh! I cant believe Kenley is making it, I know she is talented, but that attitude...yuck! It makes me so sad that a person with such an ugly personality and slightly above average talent gets the chance to showcase while someone else with more talent and such a wonderful personality does not. Personally, Kenley has been my TOTAL favorite from the start. Her attitude is what makes her, well, kenley. and thats what alot of us have grown to love. plus, i absolutely adore her designs. and i agree with amatuer6, shes super dreamy! :p =x

It seems to me if they could not make a choice, why didn't they send the four like they had done before. I am not a big fan of Kennly. I will say that she has the technical ability to make amazing things. Sadly, her aesthetic is that of my five year old niece that enjoys painting "p'etty pi'tures" on her walls with every crayon in the box.

i think that the final 3 was a good choice. Kenley seemed a little less attitude-ish than she was on previous shows. But let's get real...we all know that the producers are only showing all the 'drama' since this is a reality show. Besides, it helps boost ratings since PR did not win an Emmy!
I think Kenley is amazing designer and I love her attitude. You really have to back up what you make and believe in it. Its great getting someone else's point of view but if you really believe in it I'd totally keep it the way it is. I believe the other designers really should not gain up on her. Its a competition and you shouldn't be picking sides or gaining up on someone. The way I see it is usually when people gain up on one person. They are intimidated. intimidation can overcome anyone.
Kenley is a young talented designer and artist. Why does she have to be "nice" all the time? Get over this "women have to be nice all the time" double standard. Are we picking the BEST designer or Miss Congeniality? I think Kenley is by far the best designer I have ever seen come from Project Runway AND she's interesting to watch. Love to hate her or hate to love her-She's got that "IT" factor!
Obviously watching and hearing herself hasn't helped this little brat gain any humility or sense of respect for others. If she were my child I'd be apologizing all over the place for raising such an ungrateful child. She needs to check her attitude at the door when Tim is trying to give her hints and tips. He didn't make it to the level he's at in this business without learning a few things and making some contacts. If she wants "good word" to travel about her and her abilities, she needs to show she can be a learner and not a hater.

I LOVE Kenley's designs and would buy nearly all of them if I ever saw them in a store!! Her style is gorgeous and I can't wait to see the entire line next week!
She's uber sensitive and lashes out when she thinks she's being attacked. She should learn how to take criticism a little better. But I still don't think she has the worst attitude of any designer in Project Runway history. She's just the first woman with an attitude.

Please consider what I say seriously. Your comment that "all the other designers hate me" and "everything is always so hard for me" are an exaduration at best. This challenge and some of the lives of your competitors have been equally if not more challenging than yours. Get some pespective. I would say that, like me, they find you offensive and rude. It's OK to have opinions, but it's not always appropriate to express them and you must always be carefull how you state them. My mother raised me to understand that the largest part of good manners is making sure the people around you feel comfortable. The actions that I found most objectionable were the moments of uncontrollable laughter on the runway in response to comments made by your competitors that you obviously disagreed with, for example, when Daniel commented on his good taste, you went into histerical, uncontrollable laughter. While I appreciate that you may not have agreed with Daniel, nobody cares what you think and you were just rude! It was unnecessary, immature and offensive. The eye rolling also needs to stop. Grow up and get some class.

From the very beginning I have been rocked by Kenley's designs... and at the same time, extremely disappointed by her poor sportsmanship and ability to work with others. I totally understand that in fashion, film, or other creative arenas, it can be a real test of tolerance and blowing out frustration with so many creative people pushing their own sensibilities on any artist, it can be tough to let it slide off your back and just move on. Once Kenley understands this, she will conquer hearts as well as those who will love her designs. Trust me.. if you don't make friends, you'll never have fans... and that's not good business. Meanwhile, I gotta say, Kenley IS MY choice as best Project Runway designer this season with Leanne a close second (because I think she is a bit too matchy matchy and predictable... but she is a magnificent craftsman and very likable.
Based on the designs throughout this season Kenly should not be in the finals. Jerrel won last week and although he did falter this week..he did have many wins. As for attitudes, they're all catty which just makes me ill when I hear them talk crap about Kenley. Now Kenley really needs to be more respectful and show some humility when they criticize her. She also has to realize that she isn't the only one getting criticized. It's great to see that they are all passionate about what they do, they are lucky to be doing something they love and have that choice, some of us don't. To all the designers - be good kids and try to get along now =^)
I think Kenley is an awesome designer and I hope she wins. I think that the other people blew the situation way out of porportion. She did not do anything to anybody so what if she has strong opinions.Who cares? Good Luck Kenley!!!!!
Judged the way this was judged, Kenley deserves to be in the finale (even if she does talk through her nose...ugh). I just think it sucked sooooo badly that these designers were not able to show at least some of the collections they slaved over for two months. We'll not get to see Jerell's collection and I think it was truly unfair to judge just on these two wedding designs.I want to see Jerell's collection! I, of course, like Jerell better, but that's not what this is about. Kenley's wedding dresses were better than Jerell's but I'll bet his collection is better than hers.
I wasn't surprised that Kenley was invited back. I understand it is more about good t.v. and the producers must feel this is good television. What with the move to LA and a new station next season, I don;t about others but this is getting to be more than I can handle. It is more important to be a jerk and somewhat talented than personable and talented. Count me out

If you look back at 3 of the previous 4 seasons; it makes me feel relatively sure that Kenley will be the winner of Project Runway. Jay was a little "out there" and so were his clothes. Same goes for Jeffrey and Christian. Chloe has been the only winner that designed "beautiful" clothes. I just think Kenleys designs are also a little "out there", edgey and not what the average person would wear. I'd like to see Leeanne win but she and Korto are not wierd enough.

I can't stand Kenley personally nor her taste on design. Not everyone can wear those choices on vibrant prints (shudders) nor those tight skinny dresses - besides most of her designs are a one-trick pony. Her ego is bigger than her talent and she takes NO advise, preferring to become insolent and defensive. Though I love vintage, to me she was a waste, but because of her contentious personality, Project Runway gave her a pass. Instead Jerrel who had won the previous challenge, deserving to go to Bryant Park ended up out. Unbelievable. I shut down my TV and will NOT watch the finale. I don't like injustice. I don't like when a show jumps the shark. This one was a whopper.
Boy I couldn't disagree with the decisions the judges made this season more. Right out of the box, advancing Stella, with the garbage bags was wrong. Now, Henley is in final 3, but should have been eliminated in the last challenge. Plus copying a design should be an instant boot!
I was so turned off by last weeks cattiness that I didn't bother to tune in to see the last 4 compete this week. I feel the editors and producers are only out to grab ratings with the continued Negative Nancy (Kenley) Show. Another thing that bothers me about the editing is when the judges rave about a particular design, they all LOVE it, BUT that design usually doesn't win. Did you notice that, too? So now, I take the judges comments with an "eye roll" of my own and look for the winner to be one of the others.
surprised that they allowed kenley to continue since she made an exact replica of mcqueen's feather dress!! it's a very close imitation and transparent that there's not a thought of originality of her own work. dishonest i say! (and not to mention dious odious behavior!...there is a difference being tough and then being rude)

I am soo mad about Kenly making it to Bryant Park. It should have been Jerell. His clothes are beautiful, he won challenges, and he has such a great sense of style. I dont understand why they picked KenleY? Her scaley dress she did for the nature challenge, was just horrific.Her bridesmaids dress was plain and boring. Everything Jerell has done has been 1000x better than hers. I hope Jerell does well. I would buy his clothes. Ugg. Im soo disgusted that Kenley made it. If I was Jerell I would be pissed. YOU are a COPYCAT Kenley!!! Come on, who were you fooling with the exact Alexander McQueen wedding dress?!! Trying to say you didn't know what the judges were talking about when questioning you - PLEASE - even viewers weren't fooled.
I said it once and I'll say it again. Future Project Runway contestants, here's to insure you'll win or at least grant you a place at Bryant Park:
1. Dont' be African-American
2. Be nasty and rude to clients and judges
3. Design crap that only millionaires can afford and would wear
4. Design crap that only someone 5'10" and weighs 100 pounds can wear
I will not be watching this show again and I can't watch it after last night because if Kenley wins, I'll puke!
I love Kenley's personal and design style - she are adorable and has a great sense of fun! She's only 26 and has accomplished a whole lot in her short lifetime - perhaps at the sacrifice of dealing with some personal issues.
There is plenty of time for that and I think that regardless of her bravado right now, this show will be a wake-up call. People are usually defensive to bolster up a sense of self that needs some help because of life experiences. A little compassion for her self will do wonders in allowing her to extend that feeling of kindness to others.

I know these shows are for making money, but, letting Suede go instead of Kenley? How misguided can one be. Her designs are not marketable and she will never be able to work with anyone who has the potential to help her. She thinks she knows it all already. I will not be watching anymore, I think the people who watches are being treated like idiots, because I do not think its the designs that are moving these contestants In or Out. Why was Kenley allowed to copy someone elses design?

Jerrel has talent, good imagination,, I love his collection and I have been watching him from the begining of the show I gat a questions for the judges . why he was eliminated????? not because of his collection, You have been witneeses of this designs in all the shows, and please judges you said he was very wild??? Look at kelly.. She is CRAZY WHY AND WHY she was put in the finale..I think judges was looking for something bad and justify kelly. Probably because she is white, arrogant, cry for no reason to get simpathy, and I dont believe that she didn't have money when she starts to live on her own, and went for many difficult time.She is faking it I hope she doesnt win the runway. Is I think korto supposed to win..and you know why.....
Kenley is SO DARN RUDE! I feel sorry for her. She thinks that she is perfect and can not take criticism. Such a poor student of life... I hope she grows up. Oh, I wouldn't buy her homely stuff if it were at a discount store.
So she has an attitude. She is still the best designer for this season. I do believe that this season had the weakest of all seasons. They could never compete with a "Laura, Cloe, or Christen. All of this season's designers were not skilled and really did not produce anything I would even consider wearing. But, Kenley was original and she can sew a garmet really well. Who had the worst attitude but Keith, the winner. His outfits were so ugly and he had a serious attitude, but Nina really liked him and everyone knew he would win because of her. To think he beat out Laura is still a puzzelment to everyone I know.

Monday night's episode was my first. My daughter & I were blown away by the catty vindictivness of the 3 others towards Kenley. Kenley was right, Leanne did nothing to sell the hip hop outfit. I personally didn't like that one much, but Leanne's sour face ruined any chance; wheras Kenley totally got into & pulled off the pop look. Yes, it was good, but she made it come alive, and you could tell she got into it & had fun with it. Jerrel ahould have rewarded that with a scrape piece of tulle instead of returning to the flock of sheep. I like Jerrel & Korto individually, but put them with that 2-faced Leanne & they all cling together, leaving an INDIVIDUAL. Those three ahow just as much insecurity as some have accused Kenley of having. Kenley has a strong personality, and also spark, charisma, & character. She can stand stong solo and is doing it fairly well, which is probably just what it takes in the fashion design business. I agree with the person who said finesse will come with time & experience. Maybe she is rough around the edges, but I like her honest & straight forward approach. As for being defensive, well, people do that...when they are attacked!!! Every time she has reached a hand out, the others bite it, and she has mostly been within reason in a lot of what she's fired back on--but, she has also given credit where credit is due, during the two episodes I saw this week. Did the other three do that? No.
