| Real ATL Housewives: Really Early |

I cannot wait for the series premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta tonight!
Which is exactly what I was saying to my editor, when she informed me that I wouldn't have to wait until tonight at all.
Instead of waiting until 9 p.m. to spend time with A-town’s Sheree, NeNe, Kim, DeShawn, and Lisa, watch a full-stream of the premiere on Bravotv.com’s video player. That's right - a full episode of ATL online before it airs! My advice? Watch the epsiode online, and then watch it again on TV with some friends. Nonchalantly predict what will happen in an upcoming scene. Your ability to get inside the mind of a Atlanta housewife will baffle/impress/confuse everyone.

Hey love th show it's so ATL!!! i just want to know whos your hairstylist NeNe and Ms.Snow. Love your hair .
These women are fun , intelligent and successful women, I am so inspired by Lisa ! But all of them are fabulous!!!
In this time of loss as a country how can these women be o.k. with being so self absorbed??? I love money and have it. But I try to use it for good. These ladies are over the top. I now understand why men laugh at the comment "Behind every great man there is a good women" The way I see it is only when there is a graet settlement or emmient death.
I already don't like these ladies, mainly Ne-Ne. Sadly, I'll keep watching like a bad train wreck.
Middle class is vogue!!?? Right? Now?
Teach our children the gold standard is good.
Nixon is to blame for that demise,
Don't get me wrong I love Dior but I would
rather die naked in bliss (not Blass) I have priorities.
OMG... Just got through watching and I think that I'm going to love it. I want to move to ATL!! Where fabulous blk americans reign... What!!!! Cant wait for the next episode.
Who is Big POPPA? Someone must know...dish
What a bunch of spoiled over indulgent women, who don't have their priorities in tact, with all that is going on in this world !! no one is thinking about giving back to the community & the humble beginnings they came from...
Omg, I can't believe how materialistic and shallow all of these women are.
They have absolutely NO CLASS or grasp on reality. This just proves that having all the money in the world doesn't buy you class.
I wasted an hour of my life watching this trash. I won't make the same mistake twice.
Giving these selfish pampered women airtime is ridiculous. Show real women with real issues.
Sheree was WRONG!
Real Housewives of Atlanta... SHAME on you! I am very upset with the women chosen for the cast of this show! These women have absolutely no class (with the exception of Ed Hartwell's wife, Lisa). First impressions are everything and it's too bad that a better cast wasn't chosen to represent the beautiful city of Atlanta. Being an African American woman myself, I am embarressed for these women, and hope after they watch this show and see how ridiculous they looked; they are as ashamed of themselves as I am of them. With that said, I am intelligent enough to realize that these women represent themselves, and not all women of Atlanta... For those of you out there watching this show thinking "WOW... are all wealthy African American women like that?" The answer is NO! By the way... Kim, you should have changed your dress in the Shell gas station bathroom because that is the level of class, oops I mean trash, you showed you had on the show!

Watched the show and loved it!
It brought forth all the drama that the trailors promised. NeNe is certainly one of my faves... as well as her runnin' partner, Kim.
Of course, I have to comment on the whole party mix-up. And I call it a mix-up because I really believe that is what it was.
Sheree could have handled the situation a lot better. Instead of sending her assistant outside, she could picked up the phone and dialed, NeNe, herself, to apologize and invite her back to the party. (I personally think she was a bit afraid to go out there and confront NeNe, but that's just me. Better to ohh-and ahhh over someones eyelashes than to deal with the problem at hand (Did anyone else catch that? --bizarre!))
Another thing, don't you just love people that say they are classier than someone else? Class is sort of like a nickname. You can't make up your own nickname. Someone has to deem you worthy... And saying that you got it, just don't make it so. No matter how many times you say it to the camera.
IMO NeNe may be louder, but she's seems more like a true friend... And isn't that what all girls want, anyway? Someone to drive our "Bronco". --Not that these girls would be caught dead in one, but you get my drift! :P
I think Sheree needs to remind her staff not to chew gum, especially when her big evening is in progress. I mean, if NeNe can't curse....
Real Housewives of ATL. Wow! They have given me a new appreciation for what God has blessed me with. I hope they learn the real meaning of friendship( Sheree' & NeNe) and that happines is not measured by material things(Kim).
I do like the realness, however, of Lisa & DeShawn. Don't get caught up in the superficial ladies. All these things will pass away...
I really like the Atlanta housewives, especially Sheree. She is such a fashion diva! I love her! I really want to see more of Sheree and Lisa.

Love the show!
I TOTALLY enjoyed the show !! I am THRILLED that there are African American on a show like this because this is the first. African American have wealth too and this needs to be shown. BRAVO !!! Bravo

I have really enjoyed all episodes of Real Housewives(OC was fav, New York ok) as they were closer to being real housewives. Meaning, yes they had big houses, expensive taste, but designers were not constantly discussed, prices were not constantly discussed. They had one person to help around the house NOT 3 to 7. These women are beyond living a "normal upper class lifestyle" They are living a very upper class lifestyle. I was so turned off last night with the constant talk of designers and money and trying to out do each other. This seemed to happen way more than your other shows.(Think why Mr.and Mrs.Society from New York was so disliked by viewers) I lived in Atlanta for 5 years. I had some very wealthy friends of different races. But thank god I didn't see this side of it. I'm hoping it will get better and we get to see the softer and more housewife type these women may be.
Can someone please explain to me why you need a creative director, publicist, and personal assistant, when you do not have a J-O-B? I'm not knocking the household help, large estates are not easy to take care of. But the personal assistants, a little overboard. And certain Real ATL housewives came off as really trying to hard. So not impressed.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
This show was hot! Finally a show that reflects the finese, style and riches of the african american lifestyle.Love the show!!!
I saw the show last night. You call this show real/reality? What a joke! I am a true GA peach, born & raised, in Duluth for that matter, which is where several of these so-called ladies live. These are the most arrogant, stuck-up, materialistic, narcissistic women I have ever seen. Again, being born & raised here I've never come across people like this. If it weren't for their rich husbands/boyfriends, these women wouldn't have anything. Way to go Bravo, what a terrible depiction of the REAL Atlanta.

In my humble opinion "Housewives of Atlanta" is reality television at it's finest. Absolutely hilarious. Way better than "OC" and "NYC(snooze)" Nee Nee will win some sort of Bravo award next year. She has to. Watching "Atlanta" was a fun end to my miserable work day.
I loved Sheree. I would like to see much more of her and her fashion diva sense.
I was not impressed at all with what I saw last night...as a matter of fact I was very disappointed..maybe my expecations for this show was to high or something but the women behavior was not good imo, at all. However, I will say out of the five women two came across very likeable. If next week's espisode is more of the same then that's its for me I won't return for more.
I was really excited to atch the premier of The Real Housewives of ATL, i've never watched the series before. My favorite of the group was Lisa, she is not only beautifulbut also very talented. I can't wait to see more!!
i made a comment last night about how horrible these women were and it didn't post. i know other people have too. essence magazine readers who viewed the show have very few good things to say about the show.
I just LOVE real housewives of ATL! This will be the best season ever!
The show was a bit interesting but I just knew what the end result would of been with NeNe, it was too predictable. I also loved the dress she wore but I believe that she'll look much prettier with a short maybe spiky hair style. She has a round face and not everyone looks good with long hair. I didn't like the dress Kim wore, to me that was for a teenie bopper not for a grown woman.. I think the show has potential but please all the women are beginning to look alike so change the hairstyles!!!!!!!
I'll try to be as tactful as possible. The Real Housewives of Atlanta was horrible. I watched some of it last night and the parts of the show I did watch disgusted me. For one, I was born and raised here in Atlanta and not one of those women are people that I would want to hang out with. They were shallow, obnoxious, snotty, snobby and their personalities left a lot to be desired. The worst two to me were Sheree and Nene. Sheree acted as if everyone hates on her because she's...what? I'm not sure. Nene is not classy at all. But then again, there was NOTHING classy about this show. If I lived in a different state and not know what ATL was about, I would think that all women in Atlanta are just as shallow and callous as the women on this show. Sheree kept stating that her party was THE party to be at and Who's Who of Atlanta would be there. I'm FROM Atlanta, born & raised and the only recognizable person I saw was the Chief of Police. All I know is I won't watch the show again. I am black (so don't play the race card) but I thought that this show did nothing but mocked black women and was a slap in the face to women who really are classy!!!
The epidose was interesting to see how these women interact with one another. To see how wealth, material things, envy, and status plays a role in society. You also see how people can quickly become your friends, and how quickly they can become your enemies! hmmmm.... yes... you have to definite watch who you surround yourself with. Not everyone is your friend. And you cannot trust everyone.
Am I expecting too much? Is their any woman out their that wants to contribute to the household instead of wasting countless amounts of money. Do you have to have a full staff when you dont work, or two assistants to hold your bags when you shop. How many high dollar S.U.V' s does a single mom need? RIDICULOUS!! And to the queen B of the group: Sheree being successful doesnt mean that youre ex husband didnt get a Prenup so you have money to waste it is doing for self!!
This show is a trip!!!!!!!!
The bobby and Whitney show was a train wreck that you could not stop watching, and I guess we have another wreck forthcoming!
i really love this show
I, along with a few girlfriends, watched the first episode of the ATL Wives and we were very disappointed. Could you not have found a uncouth group of ladies? If this is the what the so called 'Black Elite' of ATL looks like...loud, flashy, ill-mannered, and pretentious.
I am not familiar with your selection criteria of the 'Housewives', but after seeing this ATL group last night, the criteria can't be too substantial.
The one thing I have to get out of my system and share is, why? Why us? Not that we should use the housewives of LA or NY as a measuring stick and moreover a predominately caucasian show. I am simply saying that the other shows didn't display such catiness so boldly and so soon. Sure the ladies on the other shows had their 'tiffs', but there was no name calling or having the only words in their vocabulary to be 'great', 'fabulous' and 'look at how much money we have'. Those women had businesses that they worked and grew and were prosperous by the time they were on Bravo tv. I really don't think the 'Georgia Peaches' are as rich as they say they are. I think they are telling themselves that they are great and successful. I am still not sure as to how the ladies got their money besides being married to these bench warmers or has beens of the NFL, NBA or the secret 'big pappa' that I suspect is some african-american, married or gay washed out celebrity, if anything. They are not with the ballers of today, which does not take from them. I just think the women are starting off on the wrong foot and giving the wrong impression. And I am sure that white America is saying look at those "N*******"!
Also, I wished those women displayed more family time and control of those kids running around and jumping on the furniture. The kids were too old for that. I think it showed america, look at us we ain't used to nothing new and watch us tear it up!
When selecting these 'ladies' of Housewives, please use a better common denominator other than their so called wealth, botox bought looks, and level of 'fabulousity'.
Real housewives of all hues that have really made positive strides in their personal and professional careers should be represented in a positive light and not some stereotypical image that will get the network good ratings.
Thus far, the ATL Georgia Peaches are the PITS!!!
Kindest regards,
Andrea
I must say Kim is sharp and NeNe is real! I love to see them spend all the money i cant go girls ooh and Sharee I hope and pray you are not from Cleveland Ohio! And you appear to be someone that got a hold to a man with some dollas and let it change you for the worst!
I think the show will prove to be successful. Much more drama and action than those other ones. I tried to watch the NYC one but it was kind of boring. Watched this one last night and it was great. Looking forward to seeing more. It's about time they "changed" things up a little. There are "other" wealthy people.
I think the real housewives of ATL are simply FABOLOUS. These divas are 10 times better to watch than the previous housewives. Kudos to Bravo for giving viewers like me some flavor.
I love ATL housewives....plus I like seeing Atlanta...I used to go there all the time...will you ever bring the show to Miami, FL? You know they are a lot of socialities in Miami...that would be hot...=)
Can you keep Bebe's Mama Nene off the air until Barack gets elected? And keep your "soul sister" Kim with you. So far the only one who exihits genuine class is Lisa. I hope the rest of you can bring more substance to this show as it progresses. Take a note from my dear grandmother....when you got it you don't have to tell everyone because they can naturally see it. Hence, real class.
I watched this show last night and these women are nothing like anyone I know in Atlanta. They were doing nothing but showing off. I won't be watching this show again.
i am mortified that bravo has picked these women (not ladies) to define women of atlanta. that is NOT who we are. take note they are all from other places in the u.s. not atlanta. we would never act in their manner.
Oh no. This is awful. These ladies are so outside the norm that it makes my head spin. I watched the show with other Atlanta women, and we could not utter a word. We were shocked at the self centered behavior. Too bad Bravo missed its chance to profile some truly wonderful Atlantans. Instead this train wreck profiling some badly behaved women is really sad.
I am a Real Housewife fan. I must say that hands down, the "Atlanta Glam. ladies" are the winner for; best drama, best looking, wealthies, real fashion and true frineds. I love Kim and her SECRET "big papa." I think you are a kept women, and if so, I LOVE IT. I like the O/C & NY wifes too, but I hope they can show the class the say they have and not hate on the Atlanta ladies. It might be hard, casue they have it all.

I am a huge fan of the OC Housewives. This has gone too far! The women of the previous housewives were classy. These housewives are anything BUT. I was not only embarrassed for Bravo TV, but I am truly embarrassed for the City Of Atlanta to have these women as representatives of their fine city. These women all need etiquette class. It was a true disappointment.
Seriously Bravo? You've made a lot of Atlantans irate with this depiction of your typical high-end ghetto lifestyle. Could you not find 'real' housewives that actually live in Atlanta? Half this women aren't even married so how can they even be considered 'housewives'?
I love the Altanta girls. I just saw the first episode and it is my new gulty pleasure. Bravo got a great group. Kim and Sha`ree` are great. This is going to be the best out of all of the housewifes..

Bravo did it right this time. I am a fan of the Real Housewifes, but Atlanta wins for my#1 guilty Pleasure. I am now a Kim fan. I don't like that Beathaney from RH of NY had to write something negative. I just hope the have alot of episodes.
I watched this show and I was completely embarrassed for these women. Unlike the other Housewives from the previous shows, these women, except for Lisa, are flaunting clothes, homes, and money that they did not get on their own. They only have these things because of their husbands/boyfriends. Lisa is the only one who seems to have any class and actually works for a living. Nene is very loud; however, you can feel the love she has for her family. Sheree is a pure BITCH! Her personality makes her ugly! It is so obvious that Kim's "Big Daddy" is a married man. DeShawn should be ashamed of herself hiring all of that help and dosen't lift a damn finger. LAZY!
I want to say congradulation the women of ATL. You guys really showed the true meaning of the south. I really want to say to NeNe and Kim, you guys are wonderful and F-A-B-O-U-L-O-U-S. Ya'll represented!!! And you bring a impecable light to women ALL women as to how we need be FRIENDS and stick together without the backstabbing, jealousy, and all the other unspeakable words that come to mind. I wonder how are we ever going to be able to become a PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES if we continue to act as we do to one another. NeNe I love you already, I can't wait to watch next week to see what F-A-B-O-U-L-O-U-S-N-E-S-S you going to bring!!! Again, NeNe and Kim you already make this the real true HOUSEWIVES STORY.
The ATL Housewives is a trainwreck! These woman don't represent ATL at all...bring back the OC gals!
loved it nene u go girl like u alot love the show
I watched the first episode of Real Housewives Atlanta, and I must admit I was very disappointed. With each new Bravo series of the Real Housewives, the women seem more self-centered, vain and more materialistic than the previous two series (NY and LA). Many of these women (from all three episodes), represent what society often refers to as nouveau riche, in the derogatory term (a person with newfound wealth and who lacks having social class and grace). Ladies, don't you know that if you have to brag about your wealth, status and possessions, it only validates that you're obviously not accustomed to it. Furthermore, what sophisticated woman would enlist a cake decorator to design her birthday cake to resemble a limited edition Louis Vuitton handbag? (My eyes are rolling to the back of my head!). All this Atlanta small girl talk about being the wife of a million dollar ball player; making a scene due to an omission of one's name from a guest list to an insignificant birthday party; craving to be the center of attention; having so much "bling"; living in a gated community, and getting "Big Pappa to buy me a loaded Escalade with rims" is so shallow and tacky.
Bravo, I'd like to see a reality show that portrays Real Housewives who actually use their wealth, status, intelligence and creativity to help communities and the less fortunate. Now, that's a show worth watching and celebrating.
This show is a disgrace and an insult to everyone who has worked to make Atlanta what it is. And by the way who are these women? They seem to be transplants that have nothing to do with making Atlanta the city that it has become but have moved here to take advantage of what others have built. Atlanta is the birthplace of Dr. King and the home of various religious and civic charitable organizations that work to improve the human condition. Greed, decadence and self-gratification are not at all representative of Atlanta. These women and this show have no purpose and no roots in Atlanta.
I enjoyed Real Housewives of ATL as I did OC and NY wasn't too bad. If nothing more it reminds us that even people with money act as the rest of us do, they just do it in nicer houses, fancier restaurants and hangouts. If it wasn't for the cattiness of the women the show would not be as entertaining. As always this is still television and meant to entertain.
These women are not the "Black Elite" of Atlanta. Shallow, uneducated, ostentatious,
callous, no sense of propriety, ego-centric.
They are where they are financially due solely to another's wealth and success. I can only imagine with disgust the poor values and life skills their behavior has on their impressionable children.
After the past week of national and international financial chaso and failure will the money be there to live in such ostentatiousness in the future. "Oh, fiddle-dee. I'll worry about that next year, Rhett." Yeah....sure.
Sheree.....the most obnoxious woman on any reality venue past and present. She beats Almarosa. Would she have ever been considered for this series without her ex-husbands money to support her lifestyle?
In my opinion, RHW of O.C. was still the best group of women. Self made millionaires, beautiful scenery, all inspiring!
Rough N.Y. women cursing and screaming like taxi cab drivers, NOT appealing. I'm from Atlanta but I don't want to see grown a** women making a HIGHSCHOOL fight scene at parties b/c they couldn't get in.
Want to know how Cali women duke it out? Invite the hating chick to brunch and OUT DRESS her from head to toe.
We want to see more of that!
Bravo, WE WANT MORE O.C.!!! :)
Unfortunately I also watched a little bit of the show and felt the same as some of the others....I couldn't believe these women! I am from California and live in the OC, so I am used to the "housewives" if you want to call them that.....I thought "real housewives" took care of their children, and cooked the meals for their family, but that is not the case for any of these shows. I am not a fan of either of these shows; I never watched the NYC show, but I can only imagine it was the same, women out of touch with reality, or at lease what the rest of us call reality. I know better than to think that all women in Atlanta are like this, but its unfortunate that Atlanta, like OC is represented by these women. I will not be watching this show because I am a Real Housewife with Real responsibilities!
Remember...its reality TV. So they gotta do it extra. Don't take it too seriously !!!! The show is the bomb !!!!
I lived in Atlanta for 4 years and just moved this year. There are a lot of women in the "ATL" like this group and that's one of the reasons I moved! Get over yourselves ladies! Other comments have it right, money does not buy class. I won't be following this one either, it's a big waste of time. Give me Project Runway, Top Chef and Design Star, so much more interesting.(here's fifty dollars, make a gown! yes!) OC? NYC? Who cares! Show real Americans not the fakes.
I CAN SEE WHY YOU ALL ARE HATING. ONE DAY I WILL BE ON REAL HOUSEWIVES IT STARTS YOUNG IF YOU THINK BIG YOU WILL HAVE THAT SAME LIFESTYLE IF NOT BETTER. WHAT CELEBRITY DOESN'T ACT LIKE THAT. THAT IS WHY THEY LIVE IN AREAS LIKE THAT BECAUSE THEY SURROUND THEMSLVES WITH THE KIND OF PEOPLE THEY ARE IF YOU AREN'T ON THAT LEVEL IN LIFE OR EVEN SEE YOURSELF THEIR THEN YOU WILL ALWAYS DEPISE OF WOMAN WO ARE "PAID". I REALLY HOPE OTHER BLACK WOMEN AREN'T PUTTING THEM DOWN, THE SAME ONES THAT WOULD DIE TO BE A NFL OR NBA PLAYERS WIFE!!!!!!!
Love the show.
Love the show.
Now why would I want to see a show about the less fortunate I stopped watching the News. I am the less fortunate! Whats wrong with people showing what they can buy with their wealth. The ladies do thier part through organizations. Read the bios. This gives me a little break from worring about the Rent, Groceries, Food, Gas, Water, electricity, etc, etc.If I had the money belive me I would be doing the same thing! Get a grip if you dont like it dont watch it.
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE these women! Except for Sharee...she needs to sit down somewhere! She is NOT as FLY as she believes she is lol. But I like LISA the most she seems to be the most down to earth.
And Im GUESSING that "big poppa" is prolly some MARRIED ATHLETE OR ACTOR OR SUMTHIN! Hmmmm it'll be brought to light soon Im already knowin!
I have to agree with most of the comments. These are some of the most shallow women I have ever seen. I guess I am out of touch since we all do not have all the money and contacts of these women. To see the price tags on some of the items that are bought is out of this world.
Oh, by the way…..Kim, is big poppa a mystery because he’s afraid that his wife will find out about the Escalade, the Range Rover or you (hmmmm)?
I am a fan of the other two shows (OC and NYC), but this one was a mistake. These women are just tacky.
I am disappointed at the african
american women and their hate. we as black women are jealous and sooo
shallow. Anytime a sista gets a coupla dollars...she's a gold digga
but when its the Housewives of OC
come on, its ok for them to be paid. READ the Bio's ladies READ its easy. And half of yall from ATL
talking crap, wish u had the same thing. Cuz us women who r from GA. or descendants of it...we are the
snobbiest broads u ever wanna meet!
We're classy, we like the finer things in life, and ain't to proud to talk about it! Black women need to start some where, why not with a decent man! I am happy to see some RICH, SUCCESSFUL BLACK WOMEN
on T.V. and I don't care how they got their money. If it were about us being on welfare, baby mommas,
jobless, uneducated, or taking care of some sorry ass man...it'd
be ok! We can take care of a man, give them our pay check, let them live on us, eat up our food from our children, not pay child support, get u kicked out of ur apt bcuz they don't have the rent and your dumb ass has to court to stop the marshall from puttin u and your kids on the street. JESUS
is that ok! Let a Black Women live, its just as much as our right as a white woman! Shout out to the Housewives of ATL and all of us women who are well kept!
WOW,
Are you serious Bravo? I live in Atlanta and there are a massive amount of african american woman with more class and style. I have been a very faithful viewer to the Real Housewives brand and have loved all the shows but I can not beleive the you all did Atlanta like this. Ok lets be for real the one cast memeber changed clothes in the shell station!! and the funniest part is the white memeber has the worst weave outta all of the ladies. As a resident of Atlanta I am so upset about this and hope that people know that there are much classier people here.
this shows what people who come into money and marry nfl players and they think they are upper middle class and they probably did not even go to college. The bling bling shows me that they are without class unlike the rich and famous of years ago.
The Show was great, it's not a reality show, everyone on the show was putting on. So to the cast, Great acting. looking 4ward to the next performance!OH yea, Kim your a real friend, you could have went into the party! I Love having white fricnds! but now that I think about it, you could have been scared into leaving! NeNe "Come on Kim, Lets go"! Someone tell me what kind of vehicle does NeNe drive?
All that Money! driving in the passenger seat! From CalTenn
This show is a joke. It's funny how the ladies are acting like they are classy..lol
MICHELLE OBAMA is what I consider a CLASSY Woman!
In the infamous words of Flavor Flav ... WOOOOOOW!!! This show shows that money does not buy class ... that goes for Sheree also. Although entertaining, some of this women are ridiculous. When do you leave the highschool theatrics behind? Well I guess if they were to act like ladies, then we probably wouldn't want to watch the show. Keep up the good work ladies ... I can always use a good laugh.
watched the show and I was a little annoyed. I just could not get around why these women were so dependent on others. It was like they were putting on a show instead of it being a reality. They had an assistant for everything. They can do whatever they want, start whatever business hell even sing if they want and they still seem so unhappy. Sharee has a house party. No matter what the house looked like. It was still a HOUSE party. Did the people at the door have to be so nasty. Was she ever going to come up and speak up for a so-called friend. Bottom line she was invited and regardless if she was not on the list everything should have been done with class. These women seem to me that they lucked up with a man with money but, the man got a sad sorry female without a once of class. So sad. The choices these men made. It's was like yeah eat your heart out instead of being nice and sweet. I don't blame Keith Sweat, I wouldn't want my children seen on this show either.
For all the horrified Atlanta natives... Put down your pitchforks! ;) Of course these 5 women don't represent ALL Atlanta housewives. It's t.v... Bravo t.v. at that. And anyone who gets it twisted deserves to stumble around in the dark.
I love the show as I loved Housewives of the OC. I hope that in future episodes these women can get alone & represent black women in a better way. We are already classified in many unnecessary catagories. This show is a good way to show our(black)people there are women of color that can take care of business without having to degrade themselves!!!! Please show your viewers the class that I know that you all have....
Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta
I have never been so disgusted. Even if we were not going through this economic crisis, it would be hard to watch these spiritual bereft women. AS a woman, I'm sickened and embarrassed at their behavior and values. But Bravo should question their behavior and their values also. I don't know what else to say. Needless to add, I won't be watching one more second of that horror show. Gives new meaning to the term, nouveau riche.
I love this show! I am a fan of NeNe.I can see now that she needs a show of her own. NeNe, remember who told you first, once you become a STAR....
Kat
I'm so out done by this show, The Real Housewives of ATL..I watched the show with my 12 year old daugther, thinking we were going to view women of "Class and Grace". Sad to say, we were cheated and let down. I wanted my daugther to see true "Queens" instead I viewed, older women displaying childish behavior (except of Ms. Lisa..Kudos to you). We will never watch this program again..Ladies and I do mean Ladies, get it together..America is watching and juding, US. I'm so lost for words.....
Love the show. This is nothing new, it's just now making it to TV. The women have the additudes that I would expect. I like women who are beautiful and know it. There is nothing wrong with that...However they realy don't act like they are happy... Bring all that ass to Texas where it will be appreciated!
I'm saying the show is great. When the show is comming on you here them saying Atlanta is new money what do you expect it is new money! you have to dress and out do each other new money is never having it and your just now getting it !
I couldn't wait to see this show and I was somewhat impressed. They seem to be focused and its good to see beautiful, successful african women on top. I do think that instead of focusing on themselves so much they should involve their children, seems to me the kids are left in the background. The kids should be more important to them than the money, fashion and popularity. The show over all to me was a blast! I'm sure theres much more to them all than they are showing on the tube. Keep it up ladies, do your thing!
Kim, I like how you stuck with Nene when her name wasn't on the list. Sharee was wrong not to come out and deal with the problem and the comment what Lisa said was wrong. That's to show you there are not friend. It's all about who got want. Kim you have big Papa there that give you anything without thinking about it. I'm behind on my mortgage of 4,ooo.oo can you get big Papa to help me out or you can because see you brought a purse for 5,000.00 and it dosen't work, so 4,000.00 is nothing. Between the 5 you lady it will 1,000.00 each. I will your charity because I did not see any one talking about want charity they help out just what they can get better than the other person
Love the show....can not wait to see more. NeNe and Kim are my favorite!!

This program is highly borderline boring. There's only so much shallowness one can tolerate. So much money and so little intelligence. I kept thinking, as I was watching, how they could really put that money to wonderful use and make a real difference in the world. It's sad that these adults are so self-conscious and so stupid. It's also sad that Bravo would waste valuable air time and so much money on so much garbage.
I am a great big fan of the Bravo network. I have been a faithful watcher of several series offered by Bravo, and I must say I am so disappointed with the new housewives show. I was a fan when the Orange County housewives graced the scene. I even picked up with the housewives of New York, and liked that one as well. Several of the women on the Atlanta show present themselves as gold digging, class less, over inflated "divas". They do not represent Atlanta or African American women for me, they behave just the way you would expect "new money" to act "BRAND NEW!" Two of the ladies seem genuine and real with life but the rest of them are like something out of a bad movie someone warned you not to watch but you did. I can't understand how these women constantly talk about class and how they hang with the "elite" and all the stars but there seems to be little to no class between the ladies that were chosen to represent Atlanta. I could think of other real housewives that would put these women to sham. What was the criteria when the show was cast, and whomever was in charge of picking several of these women should be FIRED! My last thought is this, if this is the "black mecca" why throw in the token goldie claiming she is a, "black woman trapped in a white girls body!" I am so over this show!
I was disappointed that the majority of the women on the show have to be married to athletes. I know plenty of successful African-Americans who made their money though their intellect, not through physical ability. It is sad, but not surprising that Bravo felt that most African-Americans with money have to be athletes. I feel sorry for these women. Obviously, money is something very new to them and they feel they have to flash it around and have attached their self-worth to it.
Whos is Kim's "Big Pappa"? Do we know his identity? Ive figured out someone famous, like an athlete or a pillar in the business world? Im guessing also that he is MARRIED. Wow what a great role model to her two daughters...NOT!
I wish people would stop talking trash about how shallow these woman. Because they have the bling, if we looked around NY and CA. The same is true with the whites and Blacks too.
so, nothing new!!!! Everyone is going to out shine the next. Its always about the bling. I like the show but I hate what Sheree did too NeeNee. When Sheree found out by the publist that NeeNee's name wasn't on the list. Sheree should of gotten away from her friends and gone to the front door to correct the party. But, to sick the security Guards on NeeNee was so tacky!!!! I love the fact that Kim left with NeeNee. Other friends of NeeNee's should have left the party too.
I have to say that this show is hot! If this show did not have drama in it, nobody would want to watch it. NeNe is off the chain! However, Sheree was wrong not to meet NeNe outside to rectify the misunderstanding. She knew that NeNe was going to think the worse. Especially since they already had a altercation.
Alot of these comments are racist. I am a white woman and can recognize that these women do not fit your ghetto , baby mommma , welfare stereotype that you have about black women. O.C , O.C was nothing but gold digging women with fake hair , lips and tans and butts. I mean to me ATLANTA gives you different personalities sassy , sweet , back stabbing and nice . I mean I feel its more real .
I loved the show. Usually it takes a few episodes before I can decide who I like or dislike but I know already that I don't like Sheree. That was a low down dirty trick that she played on NeNe and shows she has no class. If she didn't want to bridge the gap between she and NeNe she simply should not have ibvited her to her party. Her actions or lack thereof showed that she knew exactly what she was doing. She is really unhappy, mean-spirited and cold to embarass and humiliate someone in such a way. Hopefully, her ex-husband (lucky for him) will have a great lawyer and leave her behind without a dime so she can see how humble pie tastes. The party looked boring, fake and pretentious. You really have fooled yourself into believing that "you are all that" yet you are alone. Sad woman.
Girls you are doing a fabulous job. Just because Ne Ne is not as refined dont hate she haves just as much right at least she can keep her Hubby Sheree. Ne Ne is a little Raw but you need Varity to spice up your life. There is always a Drama Queen in the Mix or it would be Boring.
Love It
I have not watched any housewives shows before so I thought it would be interesting to tune in to watch the ATL housewife show. I was so wrong. The title is housewife but two of the women are separated/divorced. There weren't any better women in ATL to choose from? When people have class and/or money it shows, they do not have to go around and say they have class and/or money. This show is just another in which the majority of the women are seen as pitiful--who use materialist things/items to try to make themselves better. They should try to get validation from within rather than trying to impress others with what they have...
Correct me if I'm wrong..I don't recall seeing the OC or NYC wives having salons in home, bowling alleys in home, etc. They seemed more used to money than these ATL girls. They seem more like, "I got and I got to spend it all while its here for tomorrow I will be bankrupt" Anyone else have that impression besides me? I am glad to see women of color like myself but am embarrassed by some of them. All don't appear "high end" if you will.
I love this show!!!! I'm happy to see that they have African Americans on the show now. My favorite person on the show is Lisa, she's about her business! I can't wait to see the drama unfold between these ladies. Not only is the show full of drama but it also gets me hype about finishing school & achieving my goals wether it be work related or family & friends.
I was told a little about the show before watching it but...Whoa! I have mixed emotions on the first episode that go from "I hope these ladies never lose their wealth, status, etc because we'd be looking at nervous breakdowns here" to "I truly would not be comfortable living that self absorbed." Either way I wish my sisters every happiness and will continue to watch the show! I must admit I'm hooked now but probably because I've been diagnosing everyone's mental health status. Ladies remember one thing...from the help in your homes to those you are inadvertently stepping on or stepped on...Karma is a witch.
Shame on Sharee! That women is EVIL! Of course she was behind that mess at her party. It really upset me to see how NeNe spent all that time and energy getting ready only to be humiliated like that! Sharee, Karma is gonna get you girl! What a manipulate, narcassistic female-dog!
Anyone notice all the posts about Sharee being a fashion diva... All seem to be from the same person... Hmmmmm....I wonder who would be that self-absorbed.
Also, I felt very badly for her staff, they are all terrified of her! She's like a black Ann Coultor....
This show is very entertaining.
First of all no lady from a prominent African American family would stoop to appear on something like this. These woman are all ghetto crash test dummies, probably not an AKA, Delta, Link, or Girlfriend among them. NeNe's and Sheree are straight project! I't quite to discern that there is no real wealth among them because they gush over spending five grand on a handbag. Five grand is chump change ladies. Their only talent is snagging a semiwealthy (definitely not rich) man. The majority of Sheree's party guests looked ghetto (who invites their hairdresser for goodness sakes?) and Pennington is definitely not a heavy hitter on the social hierchy. I live in Atlanta and I know who the apex families are and they would never stoop to mingle with any of these badly weaved wannabees. This is not an accurate depiction of truly wealthy African Americans. Read "Our Kind of People" by Lawrence Otis Graham to get the real deal on who really counts. These women are low class amateurs. The real African American elite wish to remain anonymous.
AN OPEN LETTER TO BRAVO RE ALL THE "WOMEN OF"
There was something rather pittyful and depressing about many of your housewives particulary the OC & ATLANTA. The NYC gals are different and are just fine.
Then I found the REAL THING. So, get out of whatever contracts you have with the other then NYC gals. Save your money and try and get KIMORA away from E! and Style. SHE is the real deal and any of the OC or Atlanta women would sell their souls to be her! The Atlanta gals in particular because many have business as well as social lives. The OC because this is REALLY the life they want but can not get.
Why waste time watching wannabees when I can see the real thing.
Hugs
Laura
Sheree's cattiness surprised and disappointed me and Lisa was in agreement with it. They represent the ugly that lives in all of us. Those who seek a higher power fight this beast, but Sheree is guided by it. What is NeNe doing with these people? She is much more powerful and substantial by nature. She will stay miserable, loud, and angry if she continues to ignore her life's purpose and run with this crowd. They will never celebrate her.
I love the housewives of Atlanta! And I liked the other housewives as well. It's great to see women of color as we were not represented on the other housewife shows.I felt bad for Ne Ne when she didn't get into the party, she is such a shining star on the show and I hope she knows it.
The show depicts relationships and how they truly evolve. Sheree is an up and coming designer who is in transition from an unhappy marriage. The key for her now is to become independent and self sufficient and create happiness for herself and her family now. DeShawn is a mother who has an education and married her college sweetheart. The show does not depict her so far as a business women who has her own business real estate company EDJ. Her statement "I always knew I would become something" gives away the fact that she is more than just a house wife. Kim comes across as materialistic but in actuality I would bet that her last marriage has made her date "Big Poppa" for the happiness and security of her family. NeNe comes across as a loud person with little class yet she is possibly the only one of the five who is a true friend with goals of trying to become an entreprenaur. Lisa comes across as very competitive based upon all that she does with Real Estate, Jewelry, and Modeling. Her hapiness revolves around the hapiness of her best friend which is her husband. Which is why she is the sole provider right besides his (her husbands) medical leave pension now in her families household. She's got his back. I doubt whether she is not concerned with her female friends but her true friendship lies with her husband. She has a lot invested in this relationship. This is the realities of women and relationships. Very rare do the Oprah and Gail relationships exist especially with the ups and downs of lifes relationships and marriages with children because most women are involved with their families. Sounds more like a lot of relationships are being tested. I can relate but I hope they do not turn out with the worst such as competing for top spot in the social lite based upon money and destroying every relationship in order to achieve it. Stepping on one another and any thing in their path. The social lite causes problems if you can not remain who you are NeNe and if you become envious of Sheree and others to get where they are. You will have all eyes on you at this party. (Peace) Sheree the party was a good P R move for the soon introduction of your new clothing line but was it necessary to sacrifice the embarrassement of NeNe for the drama of the spotlight. Hope things work out for all you business women in the ATL educated or not. You all will find out who your real friends are. So is this a soap opera on the ATL housewives or a reality show? Depends on which one this show really is. Contact me Sheree, Lisa, NeNe, Kim and DeShawn to give you some real business knowledge. My e-mail address is listed for this comment. You girls do more business PR work on the show than anything else.
OMG I couldn't believe that yall would go there. I am very disappointed that you chose to portray african american women in such shallow and pathetic way. It is almost like a spoof of the sterotypes - vulgur, shallow wantta be but still ghetto. Very sad the show is a hot mess. Take it off the air before it does more damage.
Did the John McCain campaign put you up to this?! No wonder it took so long for us to finally get a black man as a nominee for president. Look how we act when we get money, and particularly money that we have not earned. Ladies, take notes from Michelle Obama. She is educated, rich, and REAL! She also has a law degree and makes her OWN money. Imagine that..She is a help-mate and a mother. Now that's CLASSY and REAL! Not these caddy wanna-be's....Shame on you Bravo for ruining a perfectly good show.
The show is great to see after girlfriends ending this is just what we need reality tv. No one complained when two seasons of oc and ny housewives kept us watching. I love ne ne Because she is classy and can bring out the hood if needed. Sheree should have look at the list and made sure her closes friends were on that list. What type of person throws a party and would not look at the final draft of the list and for someone so vip . That was simply a ignorant highschool stuff to do .Something that a girl from the hood would have done. Sheree has less class than she thinks. She could even tell people after she said that she had to many people coming that they could not bring others.
I loved the show. I agree with a few of the other comments regarding Nene - she is real. I think you have a diverse group of women who have access to alot of money and they all handle if differently. Kudos to the casting director - the first episode was great..
I lovvvvvvvvvvvved the show. Eventhough I dont have that kind of money, I can identify with each one of those ladies. Ne Ne is my favorite, and then Lisa inspired me, she is truly a business woman.I loved her comment (I can sleep when im dead)--- I am a RH fan! (OC,NYC,and now ATL)--- Andy, if you ever do a show in Dallas, I would love to work for your show as I dont have a job!!!!
I really enjoyed ATL Housewives.(Lisa)right now is one of my favorites,(Sheree) my least favorite. She doesnt have any income coming in only money from divorce, which means she needs to be looking for a job or another victim"I mean husband."
I love this show, I would actually like to know where it is that these women meet these good, wealthy men!!! lol I been in ATL for about 3yrs now and im yet to find a men thats worth my time. ATL house WIFES I need help!!! lol
It just goes to show that money doesn't buy class!
This group of women made me sad. I hope, if Bravo tries again, that they will try to find true housewives. Please look in any Southern city. Be sure to ask for women who do volunteer work & aren't hoping that you find them online before you meet them! What a joke!
Oh! These women are not Southern Women. They make Southern women look horrible!! We don't marry money! We work and make our own money even though we have our family money.
Ladies, "Please..." Lisa is great, Ne Ne is real. These two ladies are the only ones who seem to have become "Self-made" women. The rest live off their husbands, ex's or sugar daddy's. I'm so embarrassed since I am a Native of the City of Atlanta. Many of us our holding our breath, totally disappointed and humiliated.
Bravo, could you start over on this one? Or at least bring Jill from NYC to add some class to the show.
And, no, Atlanta is not the "Black Hollywood" of the USA. We have successful, classy black women in this city, who, I'm sure, are equally as horrified.
Take the show OFF the air and spare Atlanta the embarrassment.
The show gave me insight that totaly ysurprised me.I guess I thought that the women would be more like Dashawn and Lisa with the sophistication/style of Sheree. I am disappointed with NeeNee even though her interaction with her son choosing a college showed me a different side of her.
This is my first time watching Real housewifes of ATL., First I must say, very nice looking woman, but that's where it ends. To the producers of housewifes of ATL. Could you have founded AA Woman who worked for a living or who owned businesses like the Women from Orange County. Because what I watch tonight is not ATL. My Cousin lives just outside of ATL. maybe where some of these women live, she owns her own Business and not a real estate business, everyone does that in ATL.First and formost, she does not live off her husband. She is not a Golddigger. You could have interviewed her, she is a strong Black Woman, she does not think she is better than everyone like these these woman. To Bravo: if you are going to make a group of Black Woman look like Golddiggers, Find a group of "Other Woman" look like Golddiggers also.
the only reason i'm watching the show is for ED.Hartwell.thank you and good night
umm in the last show with kim and sherre at out with her kids (sheree) did her and kim look a little gay at each other and they are so phony. kim please take off that godawful wig. with all that someone else money she can't find a better hair. i like ne-ne she's real, i like lisa too. those other two are a joke to me they are trying to hard.that fund raiser was joke, and the way sheree walk in like they were waiting just for her.again the real reason that i watch this show is for ED. Hartwell.
these woman are so getto fabalous,if they would just work together have there minor life's up's and dwn's and stop with the who is better then are who is prettier then.there are many fabalous rich woman in atlanta and only god knows why these wre picked, the represent only a small of woman with there keeping up with the john's attitude, lisa is to be watched, nene is real but so so loud, shree thinks she is a gift and deshawn is just deshawn.kim is no ones friend and cannot sing.
