If you like ... The Real Housewives of New York City, you'll love Lovehampton, a new read from first-time author Sherri Rifkin. The story revolves around Tori Miller, a thiry-something New York TV-promo producer who attempts to shake up her dull life by going in on a summer share house in the Hamptons. Always wonder why Jill, Ramona, and the gang are so obsessed with the Hamptons? We can't promise this book will explain it (because sometimes those women are truly enigmas), but it will certainly help you get a little more familiar with the scene there.

We gotta say, we read the whole thing (yes -- we...]]>
Not only are the '90s back in a big way, but we couldn't be more excited about it. We've noticed a -- dare we use the word -- plethora ('90s SAT word, we're sure) of '90s-type stories popping up lately, so we thought we'd just count 'em down to you. And, we have to give a shout-out to David Letterman for pointing out the trend of '90s nostalgia in his recent sit-down with Mary Kate Olsen to promote her new film, The Wackness.
First, not only is 90210 coming back, but the rumor is that Shannen Doherty is finally in talks to reprise her role as Brenda.
Then, we...]]>
Squee! So Angelina Jolie is in a hospital in the South of France, about ready to deliver her inevitably gorgeous twins with Brad Pitt. The new babies will join brothers and sisters Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh.
Sigh. So much to look forward to over the next few hours: the announcement of the names, the first paparazzi pics... We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, if you care more about Angelina the actress than Angelina the tabloid star (she does have a movie in theaters now, after all), click HERE.

We've mentioned before how much we loved Arrested Development and were pretty excited about the idea of a movie, well that idea is soon to be a reality! We had heard this past weekend that the critically-acclaimed show was coming to the big screen, but it's confirmed.
We will be in line waiting! Who's with us?!

What do you do when a family member offers to give you a treasured heirloom, and all you can think is, "How the hell am I supposed to fit this in my house?" Here in NYC, it's not only a matter of physical space -- accept a beloved antique chest of drawers and you may not have room to fit your, uh, bed anymore -- but also one of taste. Say you've designed a space with a thoroughly modern, minimalist feel...and then your Aunt Gladys bequeathes you her favorite, ancient chintz armchair. (Gah!) Turn it down and you risk seriously offending your loved ones.
Anyway, the New York Times article exploring...]]>
Well, maybe. According to Perezhilton.com, Murphy told Extra, "Fifty years (old) I'll have been making movies thirty years and I have close to fifty movies and it is like why am I in the movies…I've done that part now. I'll go back to the stage and do standup."
Is it wrong that this is sort of a relief? We still can't get the taste of Norbit out of our mouths. To be fair, his purple leather getup from his "Raw" days isn't much better, but we can overlook it. It was the '80s after all.

Meh. Honestly, Bravotv.com readers, it's a little dark around The Dish offices this morning after hearing the news that legendary comedian George Carlin passed away yesterday.
Probably best known for his "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television," which we, um, can't say on this Web site, Carlin's no-holds-barred routines had a direct effect on many comics today, and we can only guess our very own Kathy Griffin.
Carlin was 71 years old.
You can watch James Lipton's interview with Carlin on Inside the Actors Studio TONIGHT at 7/6c. You can also catch it tomorrow at 2 a.m./1c, THU at 3 a.m./2c, and SAT at 11 a.m./10 c.
