Episode 104

I’m all ready to start watching my new favorite show, “Hey Paula”, and get up to speed on what’s been happening in our fair Princess’ life, when the opening credits start rolling, and HOLD THE PHONE!!! This song isn’t “Straight Up”! So I rewound and listened again, and not only was it Paula’s voice, but also a song of hers I had never heard before. Does this mean a new album is coming soon??? Oh, we could only BE so lucky!

In this episode, Paula is hosting a benefit for In Defense of Animals (IDA), an organization that helps animals who lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina. IDA couldn’t have chosen a better host than Paula, as she is the owner of five cute puppies herself, and for as long as I can remember, has always had dogs. But in true Paula fashion: she’s late! This time, it’s because the taping of “American Idol” went an hour over. What can you do when you’re a judge on America’s favorite show? Not to mention the fact that she’s hungry, and has decided that a full course meal can be made out of stops at Panda Express (one of my FAVORITES) and Starbucks (I’m probably the only person in the United States that doesn’t go ga-ga over their coffee).

I'm fan of Paula Abdul, I admire her talent but most of all I always felt her as a spiritual, caring and extremely brilliant human being . This new show "Hey Paula" is a huge dissapointment. I agree it is beautiful to see the human side of a celebrity but I believe she went overboard with her crying baby scenes up to the point that it annoyed me and I just had to change the channel. I'm afraid if I continue to watch this show, admiration will turn into feeling sorry for her. The way she treated some of her assistants , although with respect, was very sad . Where is my positive, sweet and kind Paula? Since I don't want to tarnish my perception of her I will not continue to watch this reality show I prefer to continue living in my "la la land". I'll pray for her to find true happiness, she deserves it. Poor Paula, please believe in the richness you posses inside, you are beautiful and unique that's the Paula I know is real!

I have been watching Paula's new show and I can not believe what a victim she plays in every episode. She is not kind to her assistants either. I would hate to work for her. She needs to watch Kathy Griffin's Bravo show and see how assistants should be treated. Please quit whinning about everything Paula.

I will no longer tune-in to watch *Hey Paula* as I do not find the show entertaining AT ALL! Enough said.

Paula, slow down! I know there is a lot to do, but if you don't take care of yourself, you won't be around to do them! You are a talented women and you have a lot going on for yourself. However, not eating properly and getting enough rest will make you look and feel older than you really are. Surround yourself with people that are looking out for you and your well being. There should always be healthy snacks and water in your limo at all times. If you miss a meal, then your assistant(s) should have something for you to eat in the limo. You shouldn't have to beg for money to get food out of a vending machine or eat popcorn because there is nothing else around to eat. A fresh change of comfortable clothes and shoes for you should always be in a personal bag kept in your car/limo. Schedule a nap and down time for yourself! You should also reconsider working with QVC. All that you do on that show and they couldn't put aside any jewelry for you to take back to American Idol...wake up Paula!! There are a lot of people out there that would love to work with you on selling your jewelry designs and be your personal assistant. Kathy Griffin's assistant(s) treat her better than your assistants and she is on the "D-list!!"

Paula hang in there. Don't worry about what people say. Know yourself and draw on your beliefs/religion. I also live with chronic neck and upper back pain. No one understands unless they've been through it. You can have every hope of attending an event, even something as simple as a baby shower and if you're in pain...it's hard. You don't even want to get up. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding...We love you. Take care of YOU because no one else will. May God bless you and keep you. We love you Paula. Remember Jesus Christ had public relations problems too! That's why he came down to earth so when our flesh feels these things of earth (pain, heartache, back stabbing etc), remember He felt that too when He was here and He knows how you feel. Take it, all of it, to HIM. God Bless You Paula!

Hey! I already told you that I think you're doing a great job with the blogs!
One thing though, directed at the other comments- why do people keep comparing Paula to Kathy Griffin? They're two very different people (thank God...I love Paula. Not so fond of people who make fun of others for a living.)

People are comparing Paula Abdul to Kathy Griffin because Kathy's show is better.
a) Kathy's show is about more than just watching Kathy ride around in the back of a limo complaining about how tired she is.
b) Kathy treats her assistants with love and respect AT ALL TIMES. We clearly see this in how her assistants - of which there are ONLY 3! - are constantly laughing and enjoying themselves with Kathy.
c) Kathy only cries when something genuinely tragic happens (i.e. her father's DEATH) as opposed to 3 times an episode.
d) Kathy's job may be "to make fun of people" but she is never late, she is always professional (when has she ever been accused of being "on anything") and she has NEVER once referred to herself as "the gift that I am".

Only people who don't know better compare Paula to Kathy Griffin. They both have reality shows. Paula is a world wide superstar that went from Laker girl, to famous choreagrapher, to Singing superstar, to American Idol judge, to having a reality show that shows her in sometimes unflattering instances. I am entertained by Kathy Griffin's show because she is a funny comedian. I am entertained in Paula's show because I am thrilled to get a closer look as to events that have happened in her life. It's really funny that people will criticise Paula, for complaining or for crying, it's just that people are not in her shoes and people love to hate on somebody as beautiful, rich, and famous as Paula Abdul when you or I would probably react the same way if not worse if you walked a day in her shoes! She has worked very hard for everthing she has and is today, and the first person who calls her spoiled needs to evaluate what they have done with their own life instead of criticising her for anything!

u CANNOT compare paula to kathy for the following reasons: kathy HAS NOT been through
1. an aerolane accident,
2. a car accident,
3. two divrces,
4. an eating disorder( for 15 years!),
5. been helplessly bashed by everyone and yet still be nice,
6. or have to rise out of little to make a succesful career in the present generation despsing all circumstances.
7. and, most of all, do it SMILING!
No matter what people say paula , your awesome,my role model and forever my girl!
