5 Designer Uniforms That Will Make You Jealous of the Hotel Staff

These are more like drool-worthy wardrobes than work uniforms.

With demanding guests to attend to and high standards to meet around the clock, working in a luxury hotel is not for the faint of heart. But the world of posh hotel professionals is not without its many perks. Among them? The hardworking staff at these hotels can enjoy gorgeous designer-made uniforms we wouldn't mind rocking on the regular.

1.  So Sofitel Bangkok

Staff uniforms by famed designer Christian Lacroix feature his signature quilt patchwork and blend French and Thai design elements. The beautiful ensembles with colorful sashes and nipped-in waists might even have us feeling a little self-consciously underdressed.

2.  Park Hyatt, New York City

Beloved of Michelle Obama and all women of impeccable taste, Narcisco Rodriguez is a perfect fit for the staff at the sophisticated Park Hyatt New York. These slim-fitted little black knee-length numbers with subtle cutouts are inspired by the sleek figures of the Manhattan skyline and might even inspire you to dust off your cocktail server resume.

3.  G&V Hotel, Edinburgh

Judy R. Clarke, Scotland's hottest young designer, noted for the high romance and drama of her bespoke and ready-to-wear creations, not only designed staff uniforms for the five-star G&V Hotel — but she also designed two entire suites. Fashion is in the very foundation of this hotel: It was formerly run by Missoni.

4.  Rosewood, London

Nicholas Oakwell, couturier to the stars, made use of lots of distinctly British fabrics, such as tweed and tartan, and included newsboy caps and blazers to craft his masculine throwback-style look for Rosewood, one of London's most elegant hotels.

5.  Rooms Hotel, Tbilisi

Looking like they've stepped straight out of a whimsical Wes Anderson movie, reception staff at Rooms, the hottest design hotel in this quickly emerging city, sport vintage-style stiff shirts and big collars while housekeepers wear pretty powder blue uniforms. The uniforms were created by the designers behind the nearby cafe/boutique/hip hangout O Moda Moda.
