Why should the stars have the only access to visit some of the coolest locations in the world? We're here to let you in on a secret: They don't! When it comes to luxurious hotels and exotic locales, these seven properties are celebrity-fave escapes that you may have only dreamed about — or never even knew existed. But that A-list life is only a click (and, OK, maybe a black card) away. So get to booking!
1. Rockhouse Hotel, Jamaica
One look at the Rockhouse Hotel and you know you're in paradise. While Montego Bay is a popular spot for nightlife in the island nation, Negril boasts a more serene landscape ideal for solitude. Spanning eight acres, the property features well-maintained gardens, world-class fine dining, picture-perfect views and, of course, lots and lots of seclusion. While it’s certainly possible to leave the resort, many guests are quite content staying in their cliffside bungalows. Stars like Jude Law and Keri Russell have soaked up the Caribbean sunshine here.
2. The Setai Miami Beach, Miami
A city best known for its sceney beach culture and lively dance clubs, the Setai has a doubly whammy of traveler comfort: an expertly curated interior design, and all the modern amenities a luxe traveler expects. In fact, the property, which was built in the 1930s, is considered a landmark Art Deco building. Celebs like Jay-Z, Lenny Kravitz, Chris Brown — and a massive roster of others — have passed through these iconic doors.
3. Las Alamandas, Mexico
Spring breakers might flock to Cancun, while celebrities have a “been there, done that” attitude about the place. As an alternative, Las Alamandas is quite possibly Mexico's best-kept secret... and for good reason: It's located between Puerto Vallarta, and Manzanillo so many people overlook it entirely. Spanning 1,500 acres of nature reserve, there are only 16 suites here, making it quite possible to enjoy your vacation completely undetected.
4. Turtle Island, Fiji
Considered to be one of the best islands in Fiji (there are 322, so that's saying something), Turtle Island is also a top honeymoon spot: Britney Spears and Kevin Federline spent their post-wedding vacay here (another lifetime ago). If Turtle Island looks familiar to you, there's a good reason for that: Blue Lagoon filmed several scenes on the island. Similar to Las Alamandas, only 14 couples can stay here at a time and, each couple has their own private beach. Talk about the royal treatment!
5. Chateau Marmont, Los Angeles
There's nothing like a weekend getaway to recharge your battery and the Chateau Marmont is that for many celebrities. This hideaway is in the middle of Los Angeles, but it feels worlds apart. Similar to the Setai, the Chateau Marmont does an excellent job of appealing to the modern traveler while still paying homage to its historic roots. Book a stay and you might just catch a glimpse of Jennifer Aniston or other stars who frequent the venue.
6. La Mamounia, Morocco
Most people come to Marrakech for the city’s colorful culture and crowded public souks... but celebrities prefer a more isolated environment. La Mamounia is an oasis inspired by both Moroccan and Eastern culture. The hotel sits where royal gardens once were, with views of the desert, the Atlas Mountains, and the city of Medina in the distance. It's no wonder celebs like Hugh Jackman, Kate Hudson, and even Winston Churchill have visited.
7. One&Only Reethi Rah, Maldives
With a name like One&Only, this resort ought to exceed all expectations — and that it does. This ultra-secluded property in the Maldives takes luxury to a whole new level. The natural surroundings of the Indian Ocean, white sand beaches, and vibrant coral atolls will downright wow you, as will the top-notch cuisine. We recommend watching the sunset at Tapasake, the hotel's modern Japanese on-site restaurant with unrestricted views of the sea. Celebrity couples like Fergie and Josh Duhamel are among the property's star guests.
