There’s a reason why the stars always looks so amazing: besides being genetically blessed, they're also constantly surrounded by expert glam squads of hair stylists and makeup artists. We always keep that in mind whenever we're trying to replicate Lauren Conrad’s perfect cat-eye liner or Victoria's Secret Angel waves.
So it’s somewhat comforting to know that celebrities are indeed human, and they have makeup fails just like us. Keep scrolling for eight times when the stars' beauty trends went awry.
1. Self-Tanner Mishaps
Even celebs suffer from spray tan malfunctions. See Christina Aguilera’s faux tan drip marks?
Kim Kardashian must’ve skipped those self tanner mitts, because she ended up with tanning lotion all over her hand.
2. When You Can't Stop Highlighting and Contouring
Applying highlighter, luminizers, and bronzers can be little tougher than just swiping on some lip gloss. Example: Lil’ Kim’s all-over highlighter gives her an other-worldly glow.
Lindsay Lohan used a very heavy hand with her bronzer contouring, and apparently skipped the beauty blender.
3. Eyeshadow Goes Overboard
The over-the-top eyeshadow looks seen in fashion magazine editorials don’t necessarily translate to real life. But Miley Cyrus went for it here, overdosing on sparkly glitter shadow.
Tyra Banks piled on the black eyeshadow up to her brow for her smokey eye.
4. The #1 Lipstick Nightmare
Ugh, we’ve been there. There’s nothing like lipstick on your teeth that makes you instantly go from polished to disheveled. Even Emma Watson isn’t immune.
Oh no, Paris Hilton’s bold red lip ended up on her teeth too. Note to self: always remember the index finger lipstick trick.
