It started as a rumor, that Amal Clooney was pregnant with twins. And now...they've arrived!
Amal and George Clooney are now parents to a girl and a boy named Ella and Alexander, reports People.
“This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days,” his rep says.
Sources confirmed in February that the Oscar-winning actor-director and international human-rights lawyer were expecting. George, 56, Amal, 39, and their families are “all very happy,” a source said at the time.
The two have kept a low-key presence since November, when Amal, 38, gave the keynote address during the 17th Annual Texas Conference For Women at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, with no sign of a baby bump. Yet.
The couple recently renovated their magnificent (huge) home outside of London, fit for a family of four - plus their pooch.
There were clues the babies were close to arriving, with George deciding he wouldn't travel to dangerous places while awaiting the twins.
"I won’t go to South Sudan anymore, or the Congo. Amal will no longer go to Iraq and she’ll avoid places where she knows she isn’t welcome," he said.
He also just skipped out on Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity ceremony in Yerevan, Armenia, and sent in a video message to explain his absence.
Congrats to the beautiful couple! We're sure the twins are beautiful - and smart.
