Amy Schumer Dishes on Meeting Beyoncé at the Met Gala
The comedian was not joking about her feelings on fashion's biggest fete.
When last we encountered Amy Schumer and Anna Wintour hanging out together, it seemed that the unlikely duo was having a blast. (Remember this video?) Alas, Amy recently revealed that she didn't have quite as much fun when attending the gala that Anna so meticulously helms.
In an August 23 interview, the comedian told Howard Stern that going to events flooded with A-List celebrities is her worst nightmare. "It's so fake," she said. "It's people doing an impression of having a conversation." She left the Met Gala earlier than she "should have been allowed," Amy said. She did admit that meeting Queen Bey was a highlight—but not enough to make her come back next year. "[Beyoncé ] asked 'is this your first Met Gala,' and I was like 'it's my last,'" Amy said.
