Last night was a wild ride. I thought the DC finale was pretty gripping and was interested to hear from the Salahis on "Watch What Happens Live" that they felt vindicated by the episode. I always want everybody to be happy, so I am happy they're happy. Nene Leakes was HILARIOUS last night. She makes me very spazzy, and Nene Nose Best is my new favorite game.
In other news, Atlantic recording artist Matt White stopped by my office yesterday to seduce us with his guitar...
And in more news, the kids at Bravotv.com think that Ben Weiner is the next me...
Andy, you can't always be nice!!!! If you are going to have the job of host, u need to ask the tough questions. How in hell were they vindicated? The woman clearly said they were not on the list and told them to walk thru and wait until they were cleared and they just waltzed in. They are so beyond delusional it is scary. If there is a season 2, they cannot be on.
Andy, I'm like you, I don't see how the Salahi's felt that the episode was a slam dunk smoking gun in their favor......????? If anything it was clear evidence that the Salahi's did not and could not produce a physical invitation AND they were CLEARLY not on any list. Now the Secret Service, White House staff and police clearly dropped the ball and ppl should have been promptly fired. I just wish the Salahi's would say "Look we are Grade A FDA-approved FameWhores and we were so thirsty to rub elbows with the powerful people that we blindly took an email conversation to be a formal invitation to the White House."....wishful thinking, huh? They clearly don't get that EVERYBODY else in the world, would have requested a physical invitation, or called ahead to confirm they were on the list...anything. Rational people would have confirmed the invitation and they just don't get that. The final episode was good though....because honestly the season was kind of a snooze, but these last few episodes have pulled it out! BRAVO, BRAVO! Can.not.wait.for.the.reunion!
I luv you lots but, I think you were way toooo easy on the Salahi's. There were a few times you could have pushed the envelope.Example, the cheerleading answer, what does that mean she is on the alumni? They kept saying that the last episode will clear them, what? Yes, they did use there real names, did you understand why that was such an issue? Also, wondering why you did not ask where the invitation is? I think 2 episodes ago one of Bravo's producers asked the same question. I know the man doing her makeup asked to see it. Where is this infamous invite?? Just wondering, wouldn't that answer all the unanswered questions?
Ayyyyyyye Andy!!! Please don't host the Salahi's anymore! I hate it when people skirt around your questions( Danielle, Salahis etc), and lie when they finally do answer them. Other than that I love the show! You are doing awesome!!! We love the drama queens, not the delusional plastics :/
Andy you are soo awesome!! i am dying to try makers mark and gingerale! I DON'T CARE IF THESE IS POSTED BUT ANDY PLEEEEEEASE READ THIS! ok now that the DC wives is over, you gotta boot Michaele and Tareq. what is he the 6th house wife? They are full of crap and they had their 15 minutes!!
Nicely played last night!
It must be awkward to ask the Salahis questions like that and then find an appropriate way to respond to their astounding answers. Your blank look said it all.
God bless them, they really do seem to believe anything that comes out of their mouths.
thank g-d for Bravo. Last night I was thinking about taking my own life and felt as bad this morning ( I knew I was sleep deprived so I had taken my bad energy #@#SS to bed). This morning I realized I had work to do but stopped for some TLC and realized I could watch RHofDC. While I was watching it I became so giddy and followed it up with WWHL video. Some times when we are feeling blue, husband and I love to make cracks on some of the phrases that are used in the show such as "Karma is a bigger byoch than me" and "prostitution ...". Our most favorite is NeNe Leaks and Kim on WWHL " Good Night Wig, now close your legs to married men." I hate to say it but I do get a kick out of OPP ( other peoples problems) as long as they are not too serious so I thank G-D today for Bravo, Andy and TRHW franchise. I also used to work for a guy like Jeff Lewis and the FO crew makes me smile too. Mazel!
Ben IS Andy's Mini Me!!
Just watched his interview with Nene and Sheree- he rocked it! Let's have him interview some more. Loved your interview with NeNe last night. Her comment about what you would give her a mazel for was hysterical!
Did the Salahi's lawyer up before WWHL? Why no viewer questions? Why no mention of them not being asked back for season 2, aka fired?
Andy, you usually ask the hard questions with wit and charm, but you seemed way too cautious around them, something's up. Why the kid gloves? They are a just creepy.
btw love you and the show. It should be an hour long every week! :)
Andy, you are awesome! Love you more than even Ben, but he's a close 2nd. The Salahi's said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! you are a very good host, due to the death of his dearly departed father, you said nothing. I'm glad they are happy with their teflon type life. Good for them!
Wow 4 DC Housewives true colors really came out last night. All that cheering in front of their tv like was scary. Seems like they care just a little too much about the Salahis. The Salahis were the best "watch what happens" yet for me. Very cool!
I have a great idea to pitch regarding a new "angle" for one/some of the Bravo franchises ...Wait!! Come back! I know you must get billions of similar inquires but I have this idea that I can't stop thinking about. So I'm commenting on your blog, the only avenue open to me.
*Knock* *Knock* Bravo Clubhouse? Is anybody home?
I am a super-fan starting years ago with "Queer Eye ......." and not missing A SINGLE EPISODE of "The Real Housewives of OC, NY, ATL, NJ & DC" (I'm waiting with bated (and horrified if you must know) breath for BH). My all time fave BRAVO show is "Flipping Out". But I also love "Millioniare Matchmaker", "The Rachel Zoe Project", "Kathy Griffin My Life on the D-List" ......etc. etc. Omg! And I totally LURRVV a cute little show called "Watch What Happens: Live". Maybe you've heard of it?
So Andy, here's what ......how do I (just a "normal" person) go about seriously pitching my idea to Bravo? It's a good idea ......
PS--sorry to be using your blog for business! PPS--I think you should bring your "Andrew" shirt into the current rotation--it's a nice name. PPSS--my favorite peaceful Bravo moment (which as you know are very rare) was when Casey was watching the hummingbird in last week's "Flipping Out", remember?
Boo ! You let us down. Why did you baby them? It's ok, We still love you but we needed them to squirm not just more double talk. I wish someone could do in-depth investigation on them, like on 20/20 or something. Hey, that can be your next project, K.
Andy you and NeNe are so much FUN to watch together! I love to see you jamming to the music that your housewives sings ,you look so cute. Bravo is the 1# station to watch, keep it coming.
Interesting that Bethenny's liquor is covered up now. Doesn't bother me either way - just curious why the change
I think it's readily apparent that the real issue for 3 of the ladies on the Real Housewives of DC concerning Michaele is one of class. Mary, Linda and Cat have made disparaging remarks at different times regarding Michaele's former social status as a "working girl". In fact, Linda made such a comment in the last episode as she and the other ladies sat and watched Michaele and Tareq on TV.
These ladies apparently see, or saw, themselves as superior to Michaele because of their perceived superior social position within the American, more pointedly, DC social hierarchy. Based upon their actions, it is obvious they resent the fact that someone who they believe is inferior to them is receiving attention they obviously believe they're entitled to receive, not a former counter clerk at Nordstrom.
The majority, of American women employed in the United States, does not have a higher education and/or is not of the more elite social class. In fact, it is women such as the "working girls" who paved the way for women who have benefited from the post-Civil Rights movement. Since when has it become socially acceptable to denigrate such heroines?! Andy, why don't you do a spin off of DC Real Housewives and feature Michaele as the "working girl" who dared to work hard, take risks and use her new found social status to give back to others who are less fortunate?! There are many a "working girl", and "working guys", who'd tune in to watch. I'm sure! And God forbid you might even get some women of the upper echelon tuning in!
Andy: I want to ask Tiffany from Top Chef how to cook pork chops and other good home-cooked stuff. Does she have any sort of website or blog-thingie where she responds to questions about cooking?
Andy, The finale on DC was awesome. Seems like they were let in?! All I know is it was really weird and distrubing to watch the hate from the other women towards her. Scary eh? I love watching the Salahis on your show. I tried forever to get through to talk with them. Maybe someday. Are they as happy as they seem in person? Can't Wait to see what happens on the re-union show! Sheryl
Just wondering why the Salahi's and NeNe were not on the set of your show at the same time? Was that your decision or someone elses? Hummmm!
I agree with Sheryl, in this post I love the Salahis and I think everyone is way to judgemental on them it appears that they were invited why else would they have to give all their private info? And I believe our white house is alot more secure than to let people with no invite into the house!!! Why were you so easy on everyone else and hard on them????
Just my thoughts Tami
Andy, Watch what happens with the Salahis was great. I wish my call got through. The one thing I wanted to ask Michaele is how she stays strong? She smiles and has grace and endures so much.
The finale was disturbing for me to see the other wives hate on her and they are all Moms like me. I can't wait to see the re-union shows. I hope Michaele was strong. The only reason I watch DC is to see Michaele.
Nene's nose looks so good. Wonder what Michaele thought of her? I heard Nene said Michaele had nice hair, she does.
I don't give a flip about houses, but Jeff Lewis and company are hilarious, smart, and 100% watchable. Love 'em all! Butcept he needs to tone down the lip enhancers. He's handsome enuff without all that plasticene.
dear andy, MY name is sam lazarus and I am in the beginning stages of working on a real housewives project for my Us television and culture class. it is a ten minute presentation due at the end of the semester at the university of arizona. I think that bravo has revolutionized television especially the real housewives franchise love the programming, sam Lazarus
He may have been easy on the Salami's because Tareq's father had just passed away the day before the show
Nene did look pretty, that night, after all that work done on her,she should... BUT: RHoA was my fave b/c it showed classy and fiesty and sassy and strong beautiful black women keepin it real. It was great. Now it's sunk to new lows. If I want to see brawling, all I need to do is walk 2 blocks over in B'more. Nene, what happened? You WERE my all time fave. Atlanta was my joy, but now...oh well.
D. C. Housewives is the best of all the Housewives. The women, the husbands, the politics, the meetings w/ politicians, the parties, the multiple cultural backgrounds are marvelous to watch. We don't just sit by the pool and shop. Thank you for the D. C. Housewives. They have so much to offer. Wow. Make their season longer, please.
Andy...I can't take the RHWODC. I love all of the other shows and will continue to watch but truly there is NOTHING that I find interesting about any of those women other than Stacie. I had both of the reunion shows on my DVR, watched the first 15 minutes and then deleted the rest, as well as the final episode. It was a struggle getting through the whole season and it had very little to do with the Salahi's....
