Tonight I will be joined by one of my favorite Gingeys, "Modern Family" star Jessie Tyler Ferguson along with one of my fave fashionistas, Brad "Rachel Zoe Project" Goreski. So it'll be six balls in a room dissecting the housewives and more. We have a lot of fun stuff planned, so buckle it up.
Speaking of fashionistas, this morning I had breakfast with Isaac Mizrahi at Maialino and we broke the shiz down in a big way. I hadn't known that Maialino serves breakfast, but Isaac was right to direct us there because it is a great spot to start your day! Perfect light and great food. Both Isaac and Iman are on twitter and their tweets keep me laughing at odd hours. Another great fashionista to follow is DVF, she has something to say 24/7.
I have spent the last couple late nights catching up on a backlog of "Oprah" episodes on my dvr. Wow -- so much has been happening, and this week has been BIG! I loved the talk show reunion yesterday, and that Oprah gave it up in a big way to King Phil Donahue. That man is a genius. I thought Ricki was so great, too. Sally Jesse seemed like a nutbag, didn't you think? The Katherine Jackson interview was great, Oprah at her best. I thought she rode the line well the whole time, respectful but pushing for answers and she called Joe Jackson on some stuff. I am halfway through George W's hour, and it was upsetting me too much so I had to turn it off. I appreciate his honesty and he seems likeable, I just can't is all. I'll finish watching later. Marie Osmond is today and I might actually have to watch between work and tonight's "Watch What Happens Live."
I didn't get into Oprah's camping trip with Gayle too much; I enjoyed their car trip better and this one seemed way un-spontaneous. I did decide that if I were to go camping, I would rather go with Gayle than Oprah. Gayle
was a lot more FUN. Maybe Oprah had a lot on her mind, I dunno. Did you see the episode with Susan Boyle and Debby Boone? Susan B's voice is pretty special, I must admit. As for her interview, I really felt for her. She spoke about how she was bullied, and it was heartbreaking. The interview was very edited, and I suspect that there is something off with her and she does her best. I can't imagine the pressure she's under. Was Debby Boone lip synching, by the way? Does anyone know? I need to know.
I loved the teen idols episode, and now the only cute Backstreet Boy is Nick Carter. Kevin used to be the cute one, but I don't know where his chin went! Oh, that is not Christian of me. I like them all though. What the hell am I going to do when Oprah leaves the air, and I don't see her clumsily trying to sing along with lyrics...? I liked Oprah with Jackie Jackson, but I don't believe that was a surprise. I'm a skeptic! I wonder if Oprah could get *NSYNC to reunite...?
Going back even further, the Ingrid Bettancourt story was great. I watched most of Ricky Martin and he was awesome. Oprah really gave it up about the book and how incredible it is! Could it be that great? I might need to skim it. I didn't watch Portia de Rossi, I am not really interested in her particular battle. There were some other hostage and survival hours that I didn't watch. I also didn't watch the Tyler Perry hour, but I respect the guy for coming out with that horrible story. I haven't watched the "Love Story" or "Sound of Music" or 200 molested men reunions.
See you tonight at 11!
Andy many of us watch Bravo live in the afternoon. I would like to suggest to have some of our favorite shows on friday as well. We can go anywhere to watch movies etc. Come on!! You have so many to choose from now. I know there have to be others that feel like I do. Have a great weekend. Its sounds like Isaac loves to gossip. Friendly gossip LOL!! I love it! By the way last nights "just desserts" what a great show. I just love Sylvia and her husband was hysterical. Sylvia, lemon is my favorite flavor also. ,I think this show does best when they stick to doing just desserts without getting crazy.
Debby Boone was certainly NOT lipsynching! She sounded great - such a slice of the 70's. And you & I are so in-sync (*nsync) with our Oprah viewing in terms of which to skip, which to watch!
I wonder if anyone else is like me? I pick and chose what I want to watch on Oprah. After 25 yrs on air some shows are just not worth watching.
I just watched Oprah and Marie Osmond was on talking about her son Michael's suicide, heart breaking. To lighten up the mood, has Marie done something to her lips? They sorta look like post Lisa Rinna lips. Hum?
Andy many of us watch Bravo live in the afternoon. I would like to suggest to have some of our favorite shows on friday as well. The fashion show was wonderful. God Iman is so beautiful!! Be safe honey.
Just watched also, and I had the ugly cry going! Glad no one was home! So sad for her to lose her son that way. Andy, keep the tissues handy when you watch!
Hey Andy, You have to watch the epsoide of "Sound of the Musie if you love this movie you this epsoide with the whole cast and it's been 45 years, wait to see next week whne Oprah does the whole cast of the The Color Purple. I watch the epsoide today of Marie Osmand all can say get out the tissues. Bridget Mckenna Indian Harbour beach florida.
This question is for Brad: Who would you love to give a style makeover to? Who has been the most amazing celebrity to style for?
I love the housewives and watch them all including all the "Watch What Happens" live with Andy, but now I can't get passed the crossed eyes Andy! Kathy Griffin is DEAD ON!! MOZUL!!
I'm so sick of Marie Osmond and her posse' ! Please let it go... like you are the only people in the world with tragedy. Get over yourself!
Hey Andy!! I finally took the time to join you here on Bravo-LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU- I am a huge fan of you and your genius shows!! Thank goodness someone gets what makes good reality TV!!!! So, I am loving you but not your Jackhole this week...I love me some Kanye!! I mean...how can you not love all that crazy?! =D
PPL'S CHOICE PHOTO WRONG on voting website. The picture that's captioned Real Housewives of New Jersey is a photo of the New York housewives.
I have mad love for last night's WWHL show (Brad, etc). The most fabulous and by far the gayest episode you've filmed to date- and I couldn't get enough. You lured me away from Conan, which was pretty high-larious last night...Bravo, Baby!!!
I remember Phil Donahue and his show. There was no body like him.He did it all and he really liked women in a respectful way.Oprah is wonderful, but I'll always remember Phil running into the audience with his microphone.I'm not loving Kathy Griffin and her foul mouth.Do people have to be filthy to be funny?Have joan Rivers on....now there is a funny lady and at her age I'll forgive her almost anything!
Yeah Andy, you and me both, what to do when Oprah goes off the air? How shall I spend my 4:00 pm hour? Watching the opposite station? The Doctors? I think not, will pass on that. They manage to frighten me whenever I do watch...with threats of dirty hands fixing my food in restaurants, the superbug that will wipe us out by 2012 if we don't find a way to make a smarter med. And their shows about "what every woman wants to know about the big O" was just confusing to me, I asked, "why are they talking about Oprah on a competing channel? Then I watched the show, and I was embarassed with my cat in the room. Andy, we will both be in Oprah detox, and I am wondering if I will need a 12 step program to help me detach. It is that dreaded hour that comes if you manage to get home early and don't want to start dinner till 5. Oprah filled it up for us, I recall changing my work hours so that I would get home in time to watch her a few years ago. I remember the hours spent learning to work the VCR going through trial runs so I would not miss some of her most memorable shows. I recall how I took a picture of her and told my hair stylist that I wanted my hair like hers (during the years it was cut at her chin), and by golly I got it that way...and I am caucasian....I have thought of starting a "Miss You Oprah" website so that some of us more devoted fans can cheer each other up with anecdotes and Oprah trivia.... I have thought about joining a gym and filling that hour up with just fast walking on a treadmill, but realize, if the tv above the equipment was not tuned to Oprah, I would be right back in the same funk....what are we going to do? for real..
I agree, I'm watching a lot of Oprah's "big" episodes and enjoying them. Andy, the Sound of Music reunion was AWESOME. I'm a big fan of the movie though, maybe if you're not if won't be so fulfilling.
However I have to wonder, with only one season left, why is Oprah wasting time with 2 day child molester stories, 2 days camping, etc? Why isn't she making every episode epic? How many other reunions would people love to see? (For me.. "Pretty in Pink" and "My So-Called Life"). What about celebs that never got to tell their story? Paul Reubens? Come on O.
Keep Lisa van der Pump coming on your after show. Is there not a better housewife in America than she???!!!
that is so harsh!! My goodness, the poor woman is absolutely heartbroken!! I hope if you watched the show you would have some compassion!! If you did watch and you still feel that way, you're heart is made of stone. She isn't claiming others don't suffer tragedy! I think she might help others who have suffered a similar loss!! Just had to comment.....
Dear Andy ,you are the cutiest and most FUN host on tv! I love when you have NeNe and Isaac as your guests I can see how much fun yall have together. One thing I havent heard you talk about is Kims BIG POPPA,I AM wondering if he broke? They had his picture and KIM on the news several times on the news here in Georgia,He own a mall in Union City ,they had to close it down because he owe over 200,000.00 dollars to GA Power. I think it a shame now all those people are out a job and the businesses are close, and the holidays are near,What a cold hearted man who suppose to be all that. If you didnt know now you do. I will be watching Sunday, cant wait!
I know this has nothing to do with nothing but I have to speak my mind. I think Kanya West is a bonehead, to cancel a concert on the Today show cause they showed his stupid drunk stunt when he stoled Taylor Swift's moment on the VMA! Who does he think he is? For him to cancel a concert for the people cause he was pissed at Matt Lauer is probably a very big nail in his coffin!! His career was shakey at best, now for him to pull this stunt shows exactly what kind of man he is not. Shame on you Kanya, maybe one of these days you will grow up!!!
Hey Andy - I LOVE you - you crack me up!!! But, I have to say that I was really turned off by Brad Goreski this season on Rachel Zoe Project. He seemed SO full of himself and treated Rachel as if she worked for him. And he always whining because she had him work so hard. Give me a break!
Andy, Now that its been reported that Kim is offically preg, Andy, can you try to find out what Big Poppa is saying to Kim???
I remember Psychic Rose doing Kims palm reading saying Kim would be preg and have a boy child.
Andy, if I ever have a son, I hope he turns out to be just like you! LOVE LOVE LOVE Aloha808
Keeping it Real.....Andy what do you think of Teresa at this point. I think she is going to be the new Danielle (no offense hon) but in that gang and like all the other drama, there is always a bad guy ermm lady.
I look forward to the show.
Hey Andy! Thank you for calling Kanye out as your jackhole of the week. That title is very long overdue for him. I still cannot figure out why shows still bring him on for interviews; who cares what he has to say. Anyway, have you taped the Real Housewives of BH reunion yet? I am writing because I hope upon hope you will call Camille out on her deliberate, snobbish behavior and comments. She makes so much mention of money, that it is apparent she comes from none. 3,500 sq ft too small, what??? Especially for Manhattan, what?? She infuriates me and her comments prove she has no manners as well. She knows "regular" people are watching that show and she makes it a point to not read or respect her audience. It is so odd, why does she purposely try to offend the audience? In the intro to the show, she says it's her time to "shine." How does she plan on doing that by turning off the audience? If you don't have fans and people don't like you, you're not going to "shine." I would love to hear her respond to that at the reunion - Sincerely, Christine (from St. Louis)
I agree I think Gayle is a hoot and thats why Oprah keepsher as her bff so she can stay grounded. I live for Watch what happens. The funniest are you and Jeff. The facial expressions alone are worth the wait. Enough mof the Housewives as guest since they know already how the season ended, we get tired of being told you'll have to watch, Love you
