- Andy Cohen contemplates the "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' "
Hola from New Jersey, where I am taping the Jersey Housewives Reunion all day. If I am not back in the city by 8 p.m., somebody call my Mommy and tell her I ain't coming back. Ever.
Congratulations to Branden! The tall boy took it last night in a HUUUUGE upset on Make Me A Supermodel. The money seemed to be on Sandhurst or Jonathan, but the judges went totally gaga for Branden, and came out of there with a unanimous decision. Seems just like yesterday that the goofy farmboy was enchanting everyone at the audition (his first trip to NYC) with his story about the bj he'd gotten on the roof of the NY Hilton the previous evening! That's what you call: Destined to be a Supermodel. Congrats, Branden. There are many more bjs in your future.
I can't believe I just wrote that. Gross. Sorry. Oversharing. (But I mean it's essentially true, right?)
Tonight is another new episode of The Fashion Show, and it's a good one. I know some of you were grousing about the show at first. Have you stuck with it or given it another chance? It's good! Did you see the article about Fern on HuffPo yesterday? I LOVED what she said.
And did you see Tuesday's Wall Street Journal? They featured a profile of a married guy with two kids who lost his powerful Wall Street job and is now the host at the Tribeca Palm. Carlos is an amazing guy and it's a wild story that everyone's picking up. It's the state of today, people ....

I watch all the Housewives series. You could do a Housewives of Peoria, Illinois and I would watch, but I think when you have most of the housewives that are also related, it because more of a family show, the dynamics change and drops in interesting interchanges.
Being a huge fan of Project Runway I have wanted to like the Fashion Show, but it just lacks gloss, energy and contestants with talent & personality. How did Kelly qualify for that position?
Jonathan should have won Supermodel.

Hey Andy,
I do not understand why the judges will choose Branden instead of Jonathan! Jonathan got the full package and I love his consistency. Maybe the judges rather choose someone have improvement to win, just like ANTM.. Anyway after Top Chef 4, 5, Top Design 2 and many other reality TV shows, seems I never pick the winner I love!
For Heidi and Spencer, I havent watched The Hills in my life, I just knew them from The Soup. They are just some spoiled hollywood celeb, and just as Janice said, I knew they will be back.. They are totally fake to me..
After watching Fashion Show last night, I start to love it.. good job Bravo.. I really love Angel, despite her design yesterday is so.... and Reco gotta be quiet..

I'm loving the fashion show! Isaac and the judges are more receptive to original thinking then the Project Runway judges were. Isaac has so much more flair, Michael Kors was more formulaic for me. Their comments are more insightful and not dumbed down. Also the cast, I think, is more fashion forward. I agree, Kelly is probably not the most fascinating person, but she is always fabulously dressed and is fine in her role as a "muse".

I've got a comment about the scheduling of The West Wing on Bravo. On Wednesday, June 3rd, at 8:00 & 9:00 am, In the Room, Season 6, Episode 8 & Impact Winter, Season 6, Episode, 9 were broadcast, and on June 4th, Opposition Research, Season 6, episode 11, and 365 Days, season 6, Episode 12. With this broadcast line up, Season 6, Episode 10, Faith-Based Initiative was not broadcast.
The West Wing is a Serial Drama, with each episode building upon the previous. so, skipping an episode, or airing them out of order, ruins the flow of all the shows broadcast after.
Please pay more attention to assure the this show is broadcast in the way that the original producers intended.
Thank you.

Andy...My question is less complicated and to the point! How in the WORLD do you stop yourself from totally cracking up and losing it (with laughter) during these (Real Housewives) reunion shows? You have such great self control Andy!

Oh Andy, I've really tried to get into The Fashion Show, but I just can't. There is not a lot of talent in the group and really no likeable cast...Merlin....ugh; the guy with the bad Amy Winehouse beehive...ugh. Kelly Rowland?!?!? Issac is fun, but I MISS TIM GUNN! I guess this summer I will do something I vowed NEVER to do...watch Lifetime.

I think all the negative comments about the NJ real housewives are coming from Bethenny and her army of worker bees. The NJRH is hilarious and delicious!
Loved that Branden won supermodel the kid is gorgeous and photographs like a dream. Jonathan was a nice guy but come on..

Andy,
I saw a glimpse of the Celebrity Out of Here show and caught Spencer rambling on how famous he was. Who the hell is anyway? I've never seen him or his ditzy wife. Many of the rest of the cast was unknown to me. So much for their "celebrity status". No wonder they are starved for attention and food.
The finale of Supermodel was disappointing. The best man did not win. Branden was not even a Best Boy. It's hard to fathom how the judges chose that skinny, dumb pinhead who couldn't walk the runway or talk intelligently over the sublime Sandhurst and the wonderful Jonathan. It really smacks of bias against non Americans. (I am an American, btw.) It was either that or they had amnesia to the previous several weeks worth of challenges that displayed Branden's many weaknesses and the others many strengths. Once again the decision for the winner was made capriciously. Bad Call.
As for Fashion Show - I'm not a fan and probably won't bother to tune in. The talent there is slim. Isaac is irritatingly juvenile and unclear in his comments. Kelly is dull as dishwater.
The upcoming other programs look less inviting as well. You must be slipping. Not every concept should be fleshed out into an entire series. Give the brats/divas, talentless hacks a rest please. Thanks for listening.

I find the NJ housewives refreshing.
This is what reality shows should be- cute kids, nice parents-something the whole family can watch.
I wouldn't let my kids watch the other housewives show because I would have to explain that not everyone gets drunk and that should not be a mean person.
also- call NBC to have Jill and Beth take Spencer and Heidi's place.
I would love for them to get bitten by a snake.

Jersey is the best and Jacqueline is awesome! I loved all the casts but Jersey is my favorite - I can relate to them (not the money part though) :)

Andy, had to post due to all the negative comments about RHONJ - I think they're the best of the bunch.
And how about a shout out to New Hampshire for being #6 for same sex marriage? Its about time people started realizing you can't legislate the morality of a few on an entire population. Lets hope Patterson gets the NY State legislature going. While I myself am not pining to get married - its a basic human right. And it's time.

Andy, I have to agree to an extent on the above comments. I am huge fans of RH OC, NYC and Atlanta, but have been underwhelmed with New Jersey...not to worry I will still stay tuned for the last two episodes and the reunion. I am hoping the last episodes will win me over! I still think you guys should do RH Las Vegas, because those bitches are crazy haha I know from first hand experiences! Anyway the BJ comments were hilarious, I did not know that about branden and the rooftop lol. Have a good day!

The family in RHONJ is so insular, that even as a viewer I feel unwelcome to get to know them. The only thing I find intriguing is why they pay cash for everything. There's a reason when people don't want funds showing up in their accounts.
The judges on the competition shows seem to pick winners based on totally random points. Finally 1 great photo wins over a consistent performer who is 'the natural'. I'm reminded of the Top Design judges being wowed by some craptastic chandelier made of paper plates, and crowning that designer the winner. I suspect the judges want to prove they are the experts by going with nonsense. Many at the top of the art/design field are supremely talented, and many got there based on BS and PR.
Speidi hatches fake fights and other storylines to keep themselves relevant on The Hills. So, no surprise they would do the same fakery to grab all the attention on the truly awful IACGMOOH. NBC should leave the reality to their brilliant sister-Bravo.

Actually I really like The Fashion Show. I think the Mini Challenge is great. I'm sticking with it! And the NJ H'wives have got me hooked. Still like my NYers tho!

Wanted to send you a note about the RHONJ, it is boring! I love NYC, OC and Atlanta are OK, but NJ is a yawner. How much time can you spend on Danielle? The other ladies are just not that interesting.

Andy I must thank you for the blog's you write each and every day. FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY! Consider yourself lucky that you have not wasted not one second of your life on the trainwreck that is Speidi. Keep up the fabulous work!
