Before I get to Michael Jackson, I want to mention the many tweets I got overnight about the intensity of the Flipping Out reunion. Yes, it happened just as it appeared. Yes, I felt like a couple's therapist. Yes, it was heartbreaking. No, I didn't take sides in the argument, and I will not. I just want those guys to reconcile but it doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon. And I love Zoila. And Jenny. When I left Valley Oak there was still a lot of intensity and sadness. I think it was cocktail time.

So last night I went to a screening of the new Michael Jackson movie and it was being held with simultaneous events in 11 cities including the big premiere in L.A. The "pre-show" was a live feed of the event in L.A., which amounted to a kind of jaded but game NYC crowd in Times Square watching a live feed of arrivals at the real premiere in L.A. with some horrible lady accosting the likes of Mary Hart and Rosanna Arquette and Paula Abdul (in a salute to Asia) and Will Smith. So that was a little lame.

But the movie was all music and moves and MJ and you totally fall in love with him.  And he's funny! And sweet and so, so talented. And he essentially was co-directing, or just directing, the concert himself. And he was going to pull that concert off — it would've been GREAT and he would've come back, which is the trajedy.  And we all would've wanted to go to London to see it.

It was so interesting to see how director Kenny Ortega worked with him, how he in a soft way "handled" him, and communicated with him.

And the sad stuff is that he is so, so thin and you just have to move past the wigs and his face because inside is a genius of a human being. I liked that the film ends before he goes. Ortega could've made it morbid, gone for the tears, and he ended on a high but sad note.

On the subway home I saw this poster of Greta von Susterin with graffiti on her forehead. It suits her!

Andy, maybe in sunny LA the theater seats were filled...in Big Ol' Dallas, Texas - at least today, at an IMAX theater, no less - not so much. All of three dozen people filled a room easily made for 200. I wondered if the same-Oh-same-Oh baggage - YES - the stain of those dreaded allegations so long ago - might be the culprit. Of course he was exonerated in that California courtroom- but some people in 'these' parts don't give a rip 'bout that. I worry it has raised its ugly head once again. Or not.

I have mixed feelings about "IT" - but, perhaps, for obvious reasons. I grew up with the guy. I was born in '54 - so Baby Boomer all the way. Your description of him as thin is an understatement. Skeletal is more like it. Still...as you suggest, once I got past the pencil-thin legs, arms and chest cavity (all fully clothed) the magic of this phenom remained. After 40 years and counting the man still had "IT."

R.I.P. maestro.

Hi Andy, the Flipping out reunion was so hard to watch. I could see that you were really sad about it too. Do you have any feelings as to who is right or wrong?I know you would be put in an uncomfortable position to give an opinion.I really felt for Jeff, he seems to be taking this split really hard. Maybe there's a way they can work this out.Life is too short to let anything come between a close friendship. I wish them both good luck.

Why is the show called The Real Housewives of Atlanta if only to people are married?

To Kandi: I felt as though you were the peacemaker on the show conducting yourself well. I think we would see another side of you if they gave Exscape a show.

Don't you catch that damn pig flu! Please wash your hands and cover your mouth! Wait, on second thought, don't touch your face! We need you around! I need you around! Let's move to Northern California and get away from it all! We can have Jewish babies on both sides! I just checked the swine flu tracker and its not as bad in

The Flipping Out Reunion Show was sad, I feel bad for Jeff and Ryan, but I do feel there is more to this, much more. I hope Jeff will be ok, he just seems so sad and really broken up over this. Ryan is hurting too, but not as much as Jeff.
Andy, you did a really good job, I know it wasn't easy for you.

All I can say to Jeff and Ryan..even Dean Martin and Jerry Lweis needed a break from each other..and it is well known that their partnership was intense..Sonny and Cher broke up..but in the end at his funeral, Cher was upswept with emotion.
Time heals all wounds..

Hi Andy, I wish I could have seen This Is It last night.Even without seeing it I have seen the promos and you could see the wonderful talent that was and always will be Michael Jackson. It really is so sad that this would have put him on top again where he always was for me.I loved to watch his videos and he'll never really be gone thanks to them.

Andy, the Flipping Out reunion show was my favorite one to date out of all the Bravo reality shows. I was laughing then crying and laughing again. As for Jeff and Ryan, there were no contrived emotions for the cameras. It was real human drama...two people hurting and hurting each other to make sense of it all. I felt guilty watching at times in Revolutionary Road kind of way. Thank God Zoila and Jenny were there to lighten things up.

Also, were you offended when Jeff snapped at you for not understanding that he wasn't losing money for staying in his home? He is right...he only loses when he sells at loss. Right now he is just enjoying a beatiful house and can sit pretty until he gets the asking price he wants.
In addition, what happens to Rysn now? Can Bravo still have him on the show or is it only a Jeff Lewis show?

Adam
p.s. I'm surprised you take the subway...don't people recognize you? I thought all celebrities in NYC took town cars or taxis. At least that's the impression I got from the Housewives of NYC and NYC Prep.

Andy, I LOVE you. You are so funny and so comfortable with your interviews. I just watched the flipping out reunion and wow, it was so hard to watch Jeff and Ryan. We could tell watching it that you were truly concerned and touched by their differences. Oh, and by the way, Jeff is SO much gayer than you. Love watching you and hope you are successful for a long time.

I saw "This is It" at the midnight show in Charlotte and loved it. I'll see it again before it leaves in 2 weeks and buy it on DVD. I saw Frank Dileo (MJ longtime manager) describing it as watching Picasso paint and I agree. I love the way he taught his dances who were 1/2 his age and kep up with them! Outdancing them actually. I love the way he corrects "with love". Funny, sweet, super talented, and sorely missed. Luckily I always knew he was great and never persecuted him or believed any of the nonsense.

It was so painful to watch Jeff and Ryan rehash their disagreement that I can't imagine how everyone else in the room must have felt. Very intense. It was sad to watch both of them tear up at different moments of their arguement.

They are definitely not like the Housewives of ATL, where someone would have gotten physical and shifted a wig.
