I'm gearing up for another whopper in the Clubhouse! Tonight we close out the RHNYC Moroccan trilogy with the Countess LuAnn and SNL alum Ana Gasteyer. There are many moments of hilarity in tonight's episode, and we have some great stuff planned for WWHL.
Maybe you heard the news that I'm co-hosting the Miss USA pageant with Guiliana Rancic from E! on NBC June 19th live from Las Vegas. That's gonna be FUN! I'm looking forward to it; I hear she's great fun.
Did you cry at the Top Chef Masters episode last night? I did. I am an easy crier. Floyd and that coin? Forget it....
Speaking of servicemen, yesterday I went to a benefit thrown by MSNBC's Willie Geist for Operation Mend, which is an organization based out of UCLA that treats U.S. Military personnel wounded during service in Iraq and Afghanistan. What they really do is some serious reconstructive surgery to help these men and women look like human beings again after devastating wounds have changed their bodies and features. In many cases, they quite simply give people their dignity back. I met a few of the men and women who'd been treated and was overwhelmed by their spirit. And very, very touched.
And so needless to say I'm writing a big check to Operation Mend this morning. They are doing good work.
Last night I saw Sandra Bernhard at Town Hall, and though I've probably seen the lady over 25 times, she served it fresh and hot and truthful to a SRO crowd of adoring New Yorkers. She is always up to the minute, with a new way of looking at the things that surround us every day. She had special guests Justin V Bond, Rufus Wainwright, and Liza Minnelli but she was always the star onstage.
After the show we had a late meal at Joe Allen with the post-theater kids and that's always a cozy treat. Speaking of cozy treats, I'll see you in the Clubhouse tonight!
Just wanted to let you know I'm loving MDD. I think it's great that they all are soooo talented and we get to see the beautiful work that they do. I also love that they get along and respect each other. Thanks for another great show on Bravo!!!
Love WWHL!!!! But I just wanted to tell you that you really really really need to think closely before you resign the newbees on HWONJ. Just too Jersey Shore for Bravo.
Thanks for having Sandra Berhard on WWHL last week.
Bought her new album, 'I Love Being Me, Don't You?', as soon as it came out on I-Tunes. My husband and I are laughing our heads off. (We're so old, we still call it an album. Oh well).
When I watched "Live with Regis and Kelly" on monday 05-06-11, Kelly's husband Mark was he co-host that morning., and OMG Mark is now looking just like you and is even sounding like you. You should put a split screen from that morning episode to see for your self. lol.
Love all the RHH's
Hi Andy-- Any chance Jay Mohr will be a guest on WWHl? His blogs for RHONJ are so good, Bravo should have him blog all the Real Housewives shows!
I second B Norvell - I can't tell you how much I love MDD. I was hoping that something would replace Top Design, and I'm glad you waited until you found the right fit. Love the interiors and love the designers!
Poor Jeana - she's such a lost soul. I like it when you have a guest on who speaks a bit of reality cuz I know you have to be diplomatic and can't really say what we all wish someone would.
Andy, I love you. I know you have to be cordial to your guests, but Luann is one hecka piece of work. Her bullying and manipulation were beyond belief. I'm surprised you didn't call her on it. Alex was supposed to be the heavy in the latest RHWONY, but she was merely inarticulate. Luann is horrible. Wish you had called her on it. I loved that Cat did. Could Cat move to NY and take Cindy's place?
