I honestly didn't realize that my guests were loaded when I met them 20 minutes before the show, and I also think they're the type of people who lose their muffins (in a good way!) when they're together -- and they hadn't been together in a while. So Regina King and Jackee brought a ton of fun and energy to the Clubhouse last night!!!
Whoa! I had my hands full but it made for a really Live, Live, LIVE -- and lively -- show! I'm going to post some clips at the bottom of this blog and you can check it out.
I was supposed to fly to Atlanta today for the ATL reunion, but I am snowed out of town. I am praying I get on the first flight out tomorrow. Urgh. I need to get my lily white ass to that town! The (non) snowstorm in NYC kept me from Vegas on Friday after a frustrating few hours at Newark; I have to shout out my amazing crew from Continental who went out of their way to help time out what the delay would mean to my deadlines awaiting in Vegas. They made me realize I couldn't make the live CES appearance, so I didn't go. (Better yet, their timing was right on and I would not have made it.)
Yesterday The New York Times ran a big-ass profile of me on the cover of the Style section. You can see it up online if you are so inclined. It was surreal to see my mug on that paper first thing in the morning, and I pretty much didn't leave my apartment all day. I wonder if that had to do with the cold or a bout of self-consciousness? (That is a new emotion for me.)
OK, watch a new episode of Tabs tonight as she hits Newberry Street in Boston, and in the meantime check out these clips from last night's show...
Dear Andy I ENOY SUNDAY NIGHTS! I get my cocktail ready like I am right there in the studio with you guys. I laugh so hard everytime, I am gonna miss the AHW when their show end for the season. But thank God WWH will be on, you so much fun to watch especially when you and your guests have good chemistry together. I really enjoy watcing you ,Regina, Ms.Jackee what a BUNCH OF FUN you guys was together! I think it would be great to get Jackee on your network ,what fun that will be with all the other fun people you have on the network. You all are like one big happy family,to me the BEST NETWORK on TV.
Last night's Watch What Happens was mad, mad, mad fun. Oh, if only every guest got plastered before they came on. Makes for an entertaining half hour!
Great article, Andy!!! Don't be self-conscious, be oh-so proud of your life! I am sending the NY Times section to our mutual friend in Chicago for him to enjoy!
You delicious man, you!
OMG Andy last night was almost uncomfortable! I felt so bad for you....you didn't stand a chance! Those girls were ON. Thanks for bringing some humor to the seeminglyhumorless world in which we reside...and on your success. You are an inspiration to those of us that can't do corporate America and simply MUST be in entertainment!
I thought Regina and Jackee were hilarious! I wanted to be there and spend time in all the craziness. Save a drink for me!
I have tried to watch all of the WWHL shows and last night show with Regina and Jackee was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at you as well, the look and the laughs. Keep up the wonderful work and laughs. This was one of the funniest; not alot of questions were answered but there was definitely a ton of laughs.
They were both half cut. LOL. I was wondering if it was from all of the drinking on the show until you mentioned that they were already cut:)
I thought your guests were terribly boring and kind of weird even though they were obviously loaded. Sorry Andy, I love you but this one of the worst WWHL.
I watch almost all your "Watch What Happens" shows. (DVR to watch later) I just have to tell you your best show so far was the last one. Your guest Regina King and Jackee Harry. They were not afraid to speak out. Drunk or not they made me laugh the entire show. They were true. I loved it!!!!
Oh yes, your hands were def full Andy! But, last night's show with Regina and Jackee was hysterical! You can tell they're great friends, it was honest and true... if not a bit messy. Even my husband (who doesn't watch RH) was completely enthralled by your Clubhouse! He evensaid he'd watch a reality show with R&J for sure. Thanks for the Sunday night laughs, much needed.
I am still LMAO!!!! They were definitely light up... Regina sipping on her cosmo's, speech slurring, they way she was slouched over... OMG, it made good tv last night!!!!
Love your show--couldn't remember what the name of the diet supplement you were talking about--loved Betheny the other night as well --You both rocked!!!
I didn't get that show last night at all....I love Regina King and was looking forward to you getting to interact with her but as for that other screeching harpie....I thought we'd sent her years ago out toward the horizon on an ice floe. What gives with you harpooning her back into our consciousness? The noises only my dog could hear, the kicking, the flailing, the grunting and squealing, the desperate attempt to have the camera on her... It was first time I wanted to turn you off Andy and I thought I'd never say that!
You need to institute the Patti Stanger rule.......2 drinks only on your Watch What Happens shows. First Izaac Mizrahi and now THIS??? It is not a good show when your guest are soused out of their minds and does not present them in their BEST manner. Truly unfair to your guests and your viewers......stop it now before it gets worse, as IF it could. May not watch anymore, no one makes any sense and you have none for allowing this.
Hi Andy, I think Regina King and Jackee Harry are my ALL TIME favorite guests so far on WWHL. They were not fake nor filtered. Loved it! Looks like they had more fun than you!!
I LOVE Regina and Jackee. Those two were hilarious!!! Please, please, please have those two back on the show TOGETHER!!!
Andy, that was one of the FUNNIEST WWHL episodes I have ever seen. What DO you put in those cocktails? Would love to try one! This one is right up there SJP as my favorites (only you would get her to eat fried chicken). What ever possessed you to get the starts from 227? What a throwback! (well, that explains it I guess--your lounge is a throwback too!). Kisses, Lu
I wish the aftershow was longer. They were so fun! I think 227 is one of the most underrated shows of all time. Please have them on again!
I absolutely loved last night's show. And Regina King looks soooo amazing. Her body is on point. I know that you should not get drunk on live tv, but if you gotta get tipsy on live TV, WWHL is the place to do it. Keep the UNPREDICTABLE good times coming.
Oh and I could not stop laughing at the "Jewish Sip and See," especially after Jackee said..."Mmm, I had a boyfriend who got circumcized at the age of 27. I didn't get no more of that!"
Ironically, I dated a man who decided to get circumcized at the age of 20-something. He didn't die physically, but something about taking off that extra skin changed him. He has not been the same since!
I love you, I love your show, I love you and your show...so there!! Watch what happens it the best part of my week. Last night's episode had me rolling on the floor, I even had a "Chrissy Snow Snort" I was laughing so hard.
Keep it up in 2011:) Hope you make it to Atlanta soon and safe.
um andy, all your guests should be as awesome and lively as jackee and regina. i think that may have been the funniest wwhl i've ever seen.
I really like WWHL Live and all the Bravo shows however last night mentioning the "short bus" on WWHL. Those jokes are old and played out especially to those of us with autisic relatives.
I know you had your hands full with the ladies last night, but I must admit ,I really enjoyed the show. The ladies were hilarious!! Please bring them back, but only serve virgin drinks.
ONE OF THE BEST EPISODES OF WATCH WHAT HAPPENS EVER!!! REGINA KING AND JACKEE' WERE TOOOOO FUNNY!!! LOVED IT!
I watched in amazement last night as your guest got rip roaring drunk. they had a great time. Regina and Jackee were hilarious. It was good to see real people lettting there hair down and just having fun. Girls, I can identify with you. Just don't let it happen to often, you know how Hollywood is, very critical and judgemental.
Yes, what was in those drinks?! The ladies were hilarious last night!! I laughed so much..thank you Regina and Jackee you guys made my night!
Omg the show was hilarious!! Thanks for always making my day! You are adorable--fun--and so funny---LOVE you!!
Denvergirl, I am a born and raised Derver-ite, and if you didn't get to enteract with either of them, them you never will, that WAS Regina King, although tipsy. . best show ever!!!
I LOVE LAST NIGHT'S SHOW!!! Regina and Jackee were TOO FUNNY! I enjoyed it! Everyone else on this blog who didn't like the show...Get a funny bone. This was the best show!!!!! Next to the NeNe and Anderson Cooper show! Hilarious!!!!!
BEST WWHL EVER! Andy, that was the funniest show i have seen on TV in a while, period! Regina and Jackee might (lol) have been drunk, but the things that came out of their mouth, especially Jackee's were hiliarious! "Blood everywhere" is my new favorite phrase, said in that "Maaaaarrryyyyy" way!
LOVE these two! I can't wait to see the ep and thanks, Andy, for playing along. I love Regina King and these two are my top pics for a dinner table good time.
Hi Andy, It's nice to see you finally nailed your outfit last night. The gray suit with the black turtleneck looked great on camera. Keep dressing like that.
I LOVED THE SHOW!!! I was too excited when I saw Regina King was going to be on..I think she is a great actress and would love to go out for a cocktail or four with those ladies ANYday!! Much more fun than the stuck up tight tushed guests like Jerry Seinfeld puttin away decaf.. Thank you for a hilarious FUN show..there should be a two drink minimum for all your guests!!
Last night's show was funny but I didn't understand most of what was said. You were adorable and I was moved by your words about the psycho killer of Arizona. We do need to come together and heal. This maniac is in his own world of mental illness and he wasted and ruined so many lives. Keep up the good work Andy.
ANDY...BEST WWHL SHOW EVER!!!! I needed to laugh since my mom's health has not been good lately. My friend reminded me to watch and perk up and I am so glad I did. PLEASE BRING REGINA KING, JACKEE, and NENE back soon. A little ANDERSON COOPER eye candy would make this chocolate girl want play in the snow too. LOVE BRAVO AND LOVE YOU ANDY! JEMDOLL
I loved the show. First of all, Andy, you looked hot last night! Regina and Jackee' were a hoot! It looked like you were all having a great time.
Poor Andy didn't have a Sip and See, he had a SNip and See! Hee-hee! I absolutely enjoy your show. I wish I could be in the audience and see it in person.
Happy New Year!
I was having a horrible, horrible, day and RHOA was funny enough on its own then this? Hilarious! One of the best WWHL episodes ever! Funny from beginning to end! And Regina King name checking Ponyboy? I will be checking out Southland. I wish I could have a drink with these two ladies, too! PLEASE have them on again. The week got off to a much better start thanks to this. Cannot get the "Marla Gibbs" song out of my head either! Thank you for such a wonderful show and I can't wait for Nene and Iman next Sunday.
I loved the show! Bravo really needs to do something with Regina and Jackee... Please bring them back!
Andy Cohen's Got The 411 (lol)! I love that song and the lady who sings it. It's so you! I enjoy watching your show too - it's almost better than the Housewives, Basketball, Football, BH, Atlanta, NJ - especially with Regina King and Jackee'! I figured some people would complain about them, but in my opinion, they were the only two "real, down to earth, loud at times, but very much themselves and extremely funny"! I never thought I'd see RK like that, but it made me remember that $$ or not, she's still just as real as the next person! I love Jackee' too and I really appreciated her quiteing RK when she was asked questions about Sandra Bullock - Thanks Jackee' - drunk or not, you knew what to joke about and what not to joke about - you both Rock! Best WWHL yet! Love you too Andy - you are good at what you do!
Seriously, the BEST episode of WWHL ever! I've enjoyed almost every episode & I LOL frequently but these 2 had me in stitches with their hilarious honesty & total silliness. Thanks for having such great guests!
NO ONE could have handled that uncomfortable situation with such aplomb and finesse the way you did, Andy. It was indeed the liveliest of live, albeit difficult to watch (for me). Kudos to you for delivering once again.
CONGRATS on the NYTimes piece. I thought it was great! You are so deserving having changed the landscape of television entertainment and the nature of celebrity while retaining your lovable, charming edge and infectious enthusiasm. Just don't burn out! TV needs you to continue creating...
Disgusting show with Jacquee - you have lost sight of what is entertaining and what is trash. She talked trash (when I could understand what she was saying), and disrespected the format. The class went out the window. I can't believe you, who is of manners, thought she was funny. Our group loves your show, but if this is a sign of how future shows are conducted, we won't be watching.
