Anna Kendrick played the role of maid of honor for her best friend’s wedding perfectly—even gifting her pal with a set of Harry Kotlar diamond jewelry before the big day.
"I wore an incredible pair of earrings, bracelets, and rings for the rehearsal dinner and a different pair of drop earrings and a bracelet for the wedding," bride Meg Cerullo told Brides. "After the ceremony, I added a truly incredible necklace to change up my look for the reception."
The actress also gave a speech to toast the couple, occasionally using notes from her phone. The bride, Meg Cerullo, said was “a flawless balance of funny and sentimental.”
The Pitch Perfect star had flown to Maine for the wedding from Hawaii, where she was filming her new movie Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates.
Anna held two flower bouquets during the ceremony and stood next to her pal while she exchanged vows with husband Erik Heil.
The bride and groom wanted a relaxed and comfortable wedding, and had 94 guests in attendance. Meg wore a strapless Karen Willis Holmes wedding dress, but remembers finding that look took more effort than she anticipated. "It took me a long time. I was never gaga over any one dress," the bride says. "I am not a typical 'girly girl,' I work at a sport agency!"
The couple, who met as students at George Washington University, chose New England because Meg is a Maine native, and Erik is from Massachusetts. They decided on Marianmade Farm in Wiscasset, Maine, which is a working lavender and flower farm on the Sheepscot River.
"The goal was to be as laid-back as possible," Meg says.
