Ariel Winter's Mom Responds To Claims She Put Her Actress Daughter On An Extreme Diet And Barely Dressed Her

The two are still fighting.

Ariel Winter and her mom are at it again.

Since becoming emancipated from her in 2015, the two have publicly battled about who did what to who, with Crystal Workman telling Inside Edition that her actress daughter is “attacking” her.

“t’s heartbreaking…I think she craves attention,” Crystal said.

This round of fighting started after Ariel claimed to The Hollywood Reporter that her mom restricted her diet as a child, and dressed her in “the smallest miniskirts, sailor suits, low-cut things, the shortest dresses you've ever seen.”

Mom shot back with: “I don't know what she is talking about. I really don’t….Absolutely not. The only dietary restriction was dairy. We found out as an infant that she was very allergic to dairy.”

When Ariel was just 14 years old, she took her mother to court, citing mental and physical abuse, and recently claimed that her mother would have “a thousand percent said yes' to doing a nude scene at 12 years old,” to which her mom responded, “No. Never. Not in a million years.”

“I think she wants the headlines. I think she craves the attention, and if it means throwing your mother under the bus and breaking her heart, she's going to do it,” Crystal said, adding that after the emancipation she became homeless and has been living out of a 4-by-6-foot storage facility for over a year and a half.

“I lived in a storage space. There was no heat, no air for over a year-and-a-half. What was difficult was that my daughters knew I was living there,” she said.
