And the Winner of the Beverly Hills Dog Show Is…

The beagle was robbed!

While most loyal animal news enthusiasts would typically hunker down in front of the TV and refuse to miss one second of the inaugural Beverly Hills Dog Show Presented by Purina, we understand that yesterday was Easter and many people were partaking in a late ham and spending time with their loved ones. So you’re forgiven for missing out on what was truly a wonderful showing.

The Best in Show award—as presented by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ own Lisa Vanderpump—was Ripcord the Doberman Pinscher (show name: Platinum GCH Fidelis Ripcord DS WAE CGC). The three-year-old doggo (…are we allowed to call show dogs “doggo”?) has a decorated history: 18 Best in Show titles and over 100 Best in Breed titles. Co-hosts David Frei and the perennially-present John O’Hurley called Ripcord “an elegant athlete in a tight-fitting wrapper.”

Thanks for tuning in to the #BHDogShow! Congratulations, Ripcord! Woof woof!

Although there could only be one Best in Show, there was the typical group breakdown of Best in Breed: The English Springer Spaniel (Sporting), Whippet (Hound), Wire Fox Terrier (Terrier), Affenpinscher (Toy), Bichon Frise (Non-Sporting), and Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Herding).
