Boozy Christmas Ornaments are the Holiday Hack You've Been Waiting For

This is how ornaments get even merrier.

Are boozy Christmas ornaments the most ingenious holiday hack of all time? The answer is obviously yes. These little bundles of joy are exactly how you'd imagine them: sparkly doodads filled with liquor, and ready to hang off your perfectly coiffed evergreen tree (or plastic, we're not here to judge). If you've got the December shopping blues, or need a quick pick-me-up at that holiday party—but don't want to walk all the way over to the punch bowl—just grab a shiny bauble off the tree. Ready to bring this important new holiday tradition into your own life? In the spirit of giving, we've rounded up some of the best ways to get in on this exciting development.

1.  Tiny bottles, big happiness.

Creative Etsy seller Boozy Christmas figured out that all it takes to make a boozy ornament is a few minibar bottles plus some paperclips and ribbon. That's the spirit!

2.  Gin ornaments exist, so get your tonic ready

If the fresh piney scent emanating from your tree isn't enough, you can always hack the smell by adding in the crisp boozy fragrance of gin. The only thing you'll need in addition is an ornament base loaded with tonic to keep your pine needles from drying out, of course.

3.  You can always DIY

If you don't feel like shelling out $10-30 for boozy ornaments that'll just disappear into your mouth by day one of the Advent anyway, you can make your own DIY boozy ornaments with nothing more than some mini bottles, a knife or hole puncher, and ribbon.

4.  Why not fill your clear glass ornaments with rum?

...and then encourage your family and friends to pick their favorite boozy ornament from your tree and add it into their very own glass of eggnog. Genius, right?

5.  Wine ornaments are a thing, proving Peace on Earth is possible

There's a good chance you'll just want to load up your Christmas season with wine and carbs, and that makes plenty of sense. In that case, you'll be happy to know wine ornaments exist, too, and you can find a variety of DIY and ready made options. The important thing to remember is you can't use an entire, full-size bottle: Tipping your tree over in an effort to get tipsy just isn't worth it.
