Couple Hold Wedding Ceremony In Hospital Where Their 2-Year-Old Is Battling Cancer

The bride says the day wasn't sad at all.

It was a bittersweet wedding for Celia and Geff Kinzel who got married on Jan. 7—inside a hospital.

Surrounded by a small group of friends and family, the duo exchanged vows in the chapel of Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where their 2-year-old son Logan is being treated for brain cancer.

The newlyweds posted a picture carrying him through a hospital hallway and the response from strangers has been enormous.

The couple — who also share son Rowan, 4, said they were not sad during the ceremony, and that Logan was alert and happy for the special day.

Following the vow exchange, Celia’s mom, Megan Dempsey, snapped the now viral picture of her daughter, son-in-law and grandson.

In February 2016, Logan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Medulloblastoma, when he was just 17 months old. He has been living in the hospital as he undergoes chemotherapy. He is set to finish his treatments in July.
