Couple Married For 57 Years Recreate "The Notebook" In Loving Photo Shoot

They fell in love at first sight and it's lasted over half a century.

Get ready for your heart to melt.

An Oklahoma couple married for 57 years celebrated their love by posing for a photo shoot in the theme of The Notebook

Clemma, 76, and Sterling Elmore, 80, actually bucked the trend more than a half-century ago when she was the one who decided to pop the question—and he said yes.

The two married a week later and have remained together ever since.

Photographer Stacy Welch-Christ tells Personal Space she created the romantic shoot, which has now gone viral to her surprise.

“It is a really sweet story and they are two really sweet special people,” Stacy says.

The couple recreated notes they wrote to each other over the years, just like the movie, with Clemma's note to Sterling saying, “You are my life and my true love. Love you always and forever, Clemma.”

Sterling's read: “You are God's gift to me and I love you. Sterling Elmore.”

Stacy adds the thousands of views have been a nice surprise for the couple, who will celebrate their 58th anniversary in February.

“Loving each other for 57 years now and counting….’What God has Joined together’…These two very special people have left a Legacy that is pretty special. Please feel free to share this post, especially if you think this couple is the cutest! So sweet! They melt my heart,” Stacy wrote in a Facebook post accompanying the pictures.
