Demi Lovato’s Sexuality Is Not Up For Public Debate…Says Demi Lovato

The singer will address it in an upcoming documentary.

Demi Lovato took to Twitter on Wednesday to respond to a writer who wants her to discuss her sexuality more openly. Demi, who has dated Wilmer Valderrama and Joe Jonas in the past, is rumored to now be involved with new girlfriend Lauren Abedini, a DJ/producer.

A Huffington Post writer expressed his frustration with the “Cool For The Summer” singer in a piece for the site, noting that Demi has been more forthcoming about her mental health issues than her sexuality. He argues that Demi, who has said that her music is often based on personal experience but her sexuality is “irrelevant to what my music is all about,” are thoughts in dire opposition and that she should fess up one way or another.

Of course, Demi wasn’t having any it.

The singer responded via Twitter writing. “Expectant and rude.” She then went on to explain she wasn’t about to slap a label on herself to appease the media.

Demi ended her response with a little plug for her upcoming documentary, “Watch my documentary and chill out.”

Demi’s upcoming documentary, Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated, premieres next month.
