Diplo, the DJ-producer known for working with single-named stars such as Madonna, Usher, Beyoncé, and Britney (and for denying rumored romances with A-list actresses), is plotting an epic music fest inside a Mexican beach resort next winter. Or, as he likes to call it, a “utopian DJ world.”
The Mad Decent Beach Party will be an all-inclusive vacation and cluster of parties inside the Barceló Maya Beach Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico from February 16 through 19, 2017.
Set on the Caribbean coast of the northeastern Yucatán Peninsula, the four-day excursion features internationally renowned spinners A-Trak (who formerly backed Kanye West), Alison Wonderland, Anna Lunoe, Cheat Codes, Claude VonStroke, Dillon Francis, DJ Hanzel, Flosstradamus, Jillionaire, Justin Martin, Keys N Krates, Major Lazer, NGHTMRE, Noizekid, Snakehips, Walshy Fire, and Zeds Dead, with a few more surprises to be announced.
They’ll all play beachside grooves, pool parties, and late-night sets on the expansive property, collectively representing the far reaches of dance music.
Revelers can expect to be whisked from Cancun International Airport to the luxury property, where the music schedule will be packed with beats for every minute. There will also be full access to the resort’s eight pools, 20 restaurants, tennis courts, swim-up bars, mini golf course, and adventure activities at no additional cost, should you want to throw some more conventional vacation activities into the mix. Tickets go on sale on August 2 at 1 p.m. EST.
Miss it at your own #FOMO peril.
