Fashion Week

The End

Kelly Killoren Bensimon hits Anna Sui and William Rast before saying goodbye to Fashion Week.

February 22, 2010

Wednesday was my last day of Fashion Week at Bryant Park for I am off to Vegas for the opening of Elvis Cirque De Soleil in Vegas and a Playboy and book signing at the new Assouline store in the City Center.

I had a radio tour, which is where you basically talk to different radio stations in every city (how flattering!!!) to discuss Playboy and I quickly got my hair blown out by uber stylist, Bradley Irion, who used Vive pro mousse by Loreal to make my hair shine (4.99).

I hopped a taxi, ran into the tents as the Anna Sui show was almost starting, and sat in my front row seat. Across from me was my dear friend and Andy Warhol muse, Baby Jane Holzer who is a great friend of Anna and Andrew Bolton, associate curator at the Costume Institute of Metropolitan Museum of Art. We all watched and were amazed at how well researched Anna's bohemian collection was. From her amazing fragrance, accessories, and effortless hippie chic dresses, Sui knows her market. Supermodels strut down the runway in dresses that 60s rock icons Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg wished they could have worn.

I think that all the girls need to act their age and i love Bethenny he is great. Always say what you think and dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

I think Kelly is so creazy and needs help. I dont get why the girls are not saying it to her. she needs to get out of this show and take care of her self and her children.

If I had a friend like Ramona spend the time and money planning a beautiful trip to St. Johns for me I would shower her with millions of thank you's! I can not understand all the complaining! That trip was so kind, generous, and beautiful. I believe everyone owes Ramona gratitude and appreciation.

You'll be ok, don't let the festering animosity show through. Get it out on your own. You're a good lady, you just need to get your anxiety out in private then you can deal w/ the drama. Be real and get over the baby sh**. You're letting it show on TV- collect yourself- I get it girl!

you are hot!

Is there anything else in your brain than fashion???? please! you live in NYC!!!

Woah!! I certainly did not say, nor mean to imply, that anyone in your audience is stupid, or has below average intelligence. I am a commissions analyst who does not live in New York and certainly do not think myself stupid. I simply said that I didn't find the topic to be interesting. I realize that fashion is exactly what the New York lifestyle (especially that of a model) is all about, but I was just hoping for some more juicy topics as are dealt with on the show. I'll say it again, I love you Kelly, you're beautiful and great and I didn't mean to offend anyone.

Kelly, the post below about the 'real' housewives not getting what you are talking about, I disagree. I don't think that woman should insult the intelligence of your audience. Just because some of us live in Nebraska, it does not mean that we don't have a penchant for Italian Vogue. I was born and raised in a small town in Nebraska and I got every work you said. Just because I live in a town of 150 people does not mean that I don't enjoy the history of fashion or keep up on pop culture. Nikki must think that everyone who does not live in New York City is stupid. Thank you for proving her wrong by writing a well crafted fashion piece that does not talk down to us, in fact, your article treats us like equals.

THANK YOU!

Thanks Kelly. I so enjoyed you recaps of fashion week's shows and events. Some may not get it, but if you're interested in the New York fashion scene your blog has provided some good and glamorous insight. And yes, style.com is the place to go for everything high fashion.

I love you, I promise I do, and I think you are beautiful and add fun to the show, but this is the most boring blog I have ever read on this site. The average real life housewife/mom has no idea what you are talking about (except Tim Gunn of course lol), and aren't we your target audience? Please make it interesting if you are going to take the time to blog, because I am going to take the time to read it.
