Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines have been pretty busy lately — even (or especially?) as they announce the end of their wildly popular series. But if that latest news was a bummer, this one should make domesticity-inclined fans very happy: They're coming out with a new cookbook.
We’ve long loved to watch Joanna’s Instagram for her re-envisioned takes on comfort-food classics, so we’re excited about the news that the pair are formally unveiling the designs behind them. The new book will be called The Magnolia Table Cookbook. It seems likely the book will tie in with their soon-to-open Waco, Texas restaurant of the same name.
This exciting news comes just after the less-satisfying news that the duo would be bringing their HGTV series to an end after next season. "It is with both sadness and expectation that we share the news that Season 5 of Fixer Upper will be our last," they wrote on their blog. "While we are confident that this is the right choice for us, it has for sure not been an easy one to come to terms with. Our family has grown up alongside yours, and we have felt you rooting us on from the other side of the screen. How bittersweet to say goodbye to the very thing that introduced us all in the first place."
But back to the book: Joanna teased that the upcoming debut will have recipes that include homemade mac and cheese, as well as brownie pie. We can’t wait.
