Ruffles

Designers put ruffles everywhere they could for resort season, from a Zimmermann bikini with ruffle sleeves to an airy Marysia dress. Sorry to any ruffle haters out there: they are majorly on-trend for Spring 2017 too, and probably beyond that.

Dramatic sleeves

Cover up with voluminous sleeves that make an impact. Flared bell sleeves are perfect for a white-sand beach, while models for Chanel's Cuba resort collection wore sleeves in sheer organza.

Stripes

Stripes never go out of styles, and designers like Rosetta Getty and Carolina Herrera imagined those stripes in every color of the rainbow.
