Ryan Gosling took home the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical, or Comedy at the 2017 Golden Globes, but he gave all the credit to his love, Eva Mendes during his touching acceptance speech.
After joking that there was a mix-up with his fellow nominee Ryan Reynolds and that he wished that he could share the award with all of the other nominees, Ryan got real about who really deserved recognition. "You don't get here without standing on the shoulders of a mountain of people, and there's just no time to thank anyone. You have to try and thank one person properly and say that while I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences I've ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer," Ryan said in his speech. "If she hadn't of taken all that on so I could have this experience, it would surely be someone else up here other than me today, so sweetheart, thank you."
Ryan then thanked his 2-year-old daighter Esmeralda and 8-month-old daughter Amada and Eva's brother Juan Carlos Mendes, who lost his battle with cancer last April. "To my daughters Amada and Esmeralda, I love you," he gushed. "And if I may, I'd like to dedicate this to the memory of her brother, Juan Carlos Mendes. Thank you very much to the HFPA. Good night."

This was a rare display of affection for Ryan and Eva, who tend to keep their relationship and family life out of the spotlight. But boy, does it have us swooning.
