If you’re like me, you like snacks. Actually, like isn’t a strong enough word for what I feel towards those in-between-meals (aka bites of heaven). If left to my own devices, I could destroy a bag of just about anything that’s crunchy or cheesy in one sitting. That’s why I’ve been on a search—a search for snacks that I can go HAM on without the snacks going HAM on my waistline.
Whether it’s superfoods, low carb, high protein, crunchy, salty or sweet you’re looking into, this snack list will keep you satisfied…minus the guilt. So go ahead and eat the whole bag…I promise I won’t tell.
1. Dang Crispy Caramelized Onion Chips
I’m one of those people who orders a side salad and then eats everyone else’s onion rings. These healthy onion “rings” are made with real onions and do not disappoint. Crunchy and caramelized (without using corn meal!), these are delicious straight out of the bag or on top of a sandwich or burger.
2. Epic All Natural Meat Bars
Attention all carnivores! These all-natural, savory meat bars are epic just like their name. Packed with protein and low in sugar and carbs, these are the perfect snack or meal replacement for anyone on Whole30.
3. Flackers Flack Seed Crackers
A cracker that’s low carb? Sign me up! These ones are made with sprouted flax seeds (for easy digestion), apple cider vinegar and spices and are amazing dipped in hummus or guacamole.
4. Go Raw Chocolate Super Cookies
Can a cookie be a healthy? Yes, when it’s made with four super healthy ingredients—organic coconut, organic sesame seeds, organic dates and organic cacao—and don’t have any added sugar, oil or flour. Try them dipped in almond milk for a guiltless dessert!
5. World Peas Fava Crisps
This vegan, gluten-free snack is made from nutrient-dense, protein-rich fava beans. Unlike the fava beans you’ve eaten before in a side dish, these are crisped to perfection so you get crunch perfection.
6. Natierra Nature’s All Freeze Dried Fruit
This is my new favorite way to eat fruit. Lightly crunchy and mess-free, this is the perfect road trip or when you’re snacking al desko.
7. Biena Chickpea Snacks
So good I have to force myself to close the bag, these chickpeas are filled with protein (12 grams per serving!) and fiber (6 grams per serving!) and will fill you up and satisfy your need for mega crunch. They’re also great on top of salads.
8. Brami Lupini Beans
Snack like a Roman. Lupini beans are a classic spuntino in Italy and recently have become very popular in the U.S. And for good reason—these beans are loaded with clean plant protein and fiber that won’t compromise your diet. Plus, they’re super tasty.
9. Health Warrior Chia Bar
Chia was the fuel of ancient Aztec warriors and now you. One hundred calories of pure deliciousness and nutrition, these mini bars are absolute perfection when you just need a little something-something. I love eating them right before my morning workout, just like the warriors.
