Not all celebrities are interested in being with their own kind. Some keep a semblance of a “normal” life, choosing a civilian partner (usually still extremely good looking) to spend their life with. Here are some of the lucky ones who landed someone with a bunch of money and never have to work again if they don’t want to, although it’s worth noting that most of these people do have their own successful careers.
Matt Damon wife Luciana Barroso had the luckiest bartending shift of all time the night the actor walked in to her Miami club.
“We ended up at a bar where my wife was the bartender. I literally saw her across a crowded room,” Matt has said. “I don’t know how else our paths would have crossed if that didn’t happen. The moral is that when you’re tired, suck it up and go to the bar because you might meet your wife.”
The two had a no frills wedding in 2005 at New York City Hall. They renewed their wedding vows in 2013.
Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul met his wife, anti-bullying activist Lauren Parsekian, at Coachella. “She just wants the world to be a better place,” Aaron told Elle. “Our first date after Coachella was a trip to Vegas. We bought our first child a baby leather jacket from AllSaints. We also jumped into a cab and said, ‘Take us to the nearest chapel. We're getting married.’ The Little White Chapel ended up being closed. We probably would have gone through with it. It would have been a pretty funny story. But I'm happy we got married when we did — a year later.” The two married in September 2016.
Stephen Colbert spoke on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert about how he knew his wife, Evelyn McGee-Colbert, was the woman he was going to marry. “When you met the woman who is now your wife, how did you know she was the one?” an audience member asked.
“Oh, man, I will — how long do we have?” Colbert joked. The two, who have been married since 1993, have three children, John, Peter and Madeleine.

Then she tamed the world’s most famous bachelor. “She’s an amazing human being,” George told Entertainment Weekly of why he married her. “And she’s caring. And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. And she’s got a great sense of humor. There’s a number of reasons why.”
Jimmy Fallon and Nancy Juvonen met through their mutual pal Drew Barrymore. Drew and Nancy are partners together in Drew’s production company, Flower Films. Drew introduced the two.

The two are now married with a four-month-old daughter, Iris Mary.
After meeting him on the set of 2001’s The Mexican, Julia Roberts married cameraman Danny Moder. “He is a man among men, unselfish and all-encompassing. He stands by the choices he has made. He will never blame it on somebody else, and I have never seen anybody else do that,” she once told ABC News of her husband. Scarlett Johansson married a cute, French magazine editor named Romain Dauriac in 2014. The unlikely duo met through famed tattoo artist Fuzi Uvtpk. The two live full-time in Paris, and share baby girl Rose together, born in September 2014.

Reese Witherspoon met her handsome Hollywood agent husband Jim Toth at a party. “This really drunk guy was hitting on me, making such an idiot of himself, yelling at me,” she told Elle of their first meeting. “Jim came over and said, 'Please excuse my friend. He's just broken up with someone.' And I remember thinking, his friend is such an a**, what a jerk. And that Jim was a really good friend, pulling him out of that situation.” The two married in a private ceremony at her estate in Ojai, Calif. They celebrated their five-year anniversary last March and share baby Tennessee James, born in 2012.
Now retired David Letterman had his share of scandal while hosting the Late Show With David Letterman and confessed to having extramarital affairs with female staffers on his show. His now wife Regina Lasko had been dating Dave for 23 years when he finally married her.
Their son Harry, named after Dave’s father, was born in 2003.
