If you’ve ever dreamed of staying in a Paris hotel with a killer view of the Eiffel Tower — get ready to have your wildest fantasies blown away.
That’s because this summer you can actually stay IN the tower — that is, if you’re among a very lucky few. That’s thanks to the vacation rental service HomeAway, which is offering four contest winners and their squads a chance to stay in the iconic landmark tower… and get the bragging rights that come with saying they’re the first people in the world to have ever done it.
As part of the company’s sponsorship of the UEFA Euro cup in Europe this summer, HomeAway is running the contest that will allow the chosen ones to stay in a pop-up apartment, designed just for the soccer championship, within the first floor of the tower.
As part of the overnight stay for the books, winners will also get a vacation package that includes a three-night stay in a rather more ordinary place around the City of Lights — a different HomeAway vacation rental — plus roundtrip transportations, and meals. Each winner can also bring along five friends.
(This is not unlike a similar stunt Airbnb pulled recently, when it invited guests to win a stay in a crazy shark-filled lodging.)
To enter, wannabes have to write in about what they would plan to do with the accommodations — and the winners who most impress the judges are on their way.
