One of the nice things about the internet is that it gives back. Sure, it has its share of trolls and haters and commenters who don’t agree that we can accurately guess your favorite fast food restaurant based on which kitten you pick, but at the end of the day, it also spreads lots of joy.
Case in point: Huckleberry the Roof Dog. As you’ve probably gleaned from his name, he is a dog that hangs around on the roof of a house. But in his owners’ words: DON’T BE ALARMED!!!
Huckleberry’s rooftop residency started gaining traction with the following tweet posted by @guzzzyy:
In a framed photo hung by their front door, Huckleberry’s owners—ever the intrepid viral fame seekers—shared the following:
“Huckleberry is living up to his name and learned how to jump onto our roof from the backyard. We never leave him in the backyard without someone being at home. He will not jump off unless you entice him with food or a ball!
“We appreciate your concern but please do not knock on our door… we know he’s up there! But please feel free to take pictures of him and share with the world! #hucktheroofdog”
Thusfar, most instances of the hashtag are referring back to @guzzy’s tweet, but there are a few of Huck having the time of his life, chillin’ on a roof:
We look forward to seeing Huck on the roof of the Ellen studio one day soon.
