For real, you should never, ever go anywhere without Dorinda.
She holds no grudges, and she’s always trying to keep the peace, while everything around her seems like it’s falling apart. She’s loyal to her boyfriend John Mahdessian, even when he’s not the most popular guy with the rest of the ladies, and she’s there when you need her, like she was for Bethenny Frankel on this week’s episode.
After Bethenny became faint while shopping at Home Goods, Dorinda dropped her purchases at the counter and headed to the doctor with Bethenny, where she listened patiently, then helpfully reiterated all the information back to the Skinnygirl creator later on. This comes after Bethenny and John had a blow up at a bra party which caused Dorinda to leave a party in tears. She later tweeted to Bethenny saying that despite what went down she respected her and hoped that they could continue with their friendship.
“I respect you Bethenny. We’ve built a good friendship and I hope it continues. I know you love me, want the best for me. We’ll work it out,” she wrote.
Even when she blows up, she quickly moves on. She just wants peace, like at her house in the Berkshires when all the ladies screamed their way through what was supposed to be a nice weekend.
“I think everybody’s acting very poorly. I put in a big effort here and this is my home and I made a conscious choice not to invite Sonja so we could all have a good time. I think it’s a disgrace of you people. You know what? You go to our place. You hold your things to yourself. I cooked all day. I decorated. I did a nice. I’m ashamed.
“If no one can behave themselves, then you’ll all go home! Medley adds. “I give you permission. All go home. I decorated. I cooked and made a nice, nice. Go home everybody, go home,” Dorinda said that weekend when she’d finally had enough.
She also worries about her daughter, Hannah, 22.
"I love being with my mom. She's my best friend," Hannah told The Daily Dish before this season aired. "Some people took our interaction last season as me being disrespectful, and it's not that. It's just that we're so close that there is nothing I can't say to her. And we're best friends, so we really have a good time."
So cheers to you, Dorinda, for always trying to do the right thing.
